Ramsus
Ravenous, Wraith, Smokeborn, Berserker, Preliator, the.

» Sire to Jhorla, Grímkell, & Zafir. Ex-mate to Isiel.
» Male. Late thirties. Heterosexual. Symbol.
» Reference. 2250lbs. Eleon x Eralian ('reborn').
» 2.15m. Carnivore. Chaotic neutral? Scorpio.
» Pinterest. Spotify. Toyhouse.

» Wraith-like. Continuously emits black 'smoke' (Eralian magic) from his body and is unable to control how much is released while in any realm besides Erialas. The longer he stays outside of Erialas, the more unstable and smoky his form becomes. Can risk losing his form completely if he fails to return to Erialas.

» Able to control the solidity of his body and make it transparent to the eyes and touch. At his strongest, he has the ability to transform his body into a wisp of smoke and travel in any direction.

» The long fur on his mane slowly moves and floats in different directions as if the wind was blowing on it at multiple angles. Has considerably longer hair than he used to.

» Fur has darkened and horns have become both larger and spiked post-resurrection. Human form has also changed as a result.

» Has little memories of himself, his relationships, or his past. Recently regained a few major memories.

» An Eleon from a world called Vozatis.

» After his death and resurrection, is now tied to Erialas, making him part Eralian.

» Resembles very little of the Eleon species physically. Due to a set of extreme mutations from his sire, is far more beastly and monstrous than a typical Eleon.

» Like his sire, was not welcome to be a part of the Eleon community — a species that prided themselves on their elegance, beauty, and regality.

» After being cast out shortly after his mother's death, was forced to fend for himself as a child. Wandered aimlessly for years until stumbling upon a portal to The Endless Forest.

"Ser!" called the doe from a distance as she ran towards the injured stag. Sorrel wasn't entirely sure what to call him after their strange acquainting yesterday. Following the trail of blood was not hard at all and soon the ginger closed in on him near the church, dropping some flowers she had carried onto his horns. "Would you like some help? Oh- did I wake you up? Ah! I should just leave!"

Hope you don't mind me not asking xD

Her call went unanswered. The exhausted beast continued on with his slumber, unaware of the doe’s presence as he was quite ‘knocked out’, so to speak. Or at least he was, until the doe spilled flowers on his horns and woke him up with her voice. His eyes shot open and his head snapped up, caught completely off-guard by the female. He could not really see her, however; his vision was blurred and he could not seem to get himself to completely wake up enough to take in what was going on. He relaxed his muscles and his head flopped back to the ground, releasing a raspy groan from his sore throat. “Eeuuugh,” he seemed to have mustered. He just lied there, unsure if he could move his sore body.

Haha, not at all. c:

Ack. Just to let you know, the devout-pelted/skull-masked/white antlered deer that was trying to step in while Ramus was fighting, and also the one that approached him when he at the ruins, was not Fleur. It was my doe, Jorogumo. (:

I don't blame you for mixing the two up though since both my character and opale's have the same set, even kinda-similar pictos.

The doe jumped back in

The doe jumped back in surprise with a sharp squeal before quickly coming closer again, perhaps a bit foolishly. Her question had been answered but now she wasn't entirely sure what to do. Sorrel was no healer- in fact, she was pretty bad at taking care of her own wounds. "Ahh....help me out here...I can help, I think." She stood to the side, talking down to where he was resting, but began furrowing across the ground with her nose to see if she could find anything that might be useful.

Not straying far, she eventually came back with some damp moss stripped from a tree, lying down close by and dropping it at her feet. "Well, uh, should I put that where there's blood, or would you rather drink it?" She wasn't expecting him to answer, but gave him a chance, feeling very out of place in the position of a doctor.

sorry for the late reply.

sorry for the late reply. suddenly got very busy haha.

Porcelain face, seemingly crafted from pink flush into delicate detail continues to smile ever so lightly at him. She wasn't afraid. There were monsters in this forest, yes, but she could tell he was only scary on the outside. Many others were just as bad as they appeared. If he wanted to eat or attack her, he wouldn't have ever broken eye contact. Once again lowering her face to the ground, she would pluck a poppy from it's roots and hold it gently between her teeth. The doe stared at him indirectly, and placed the flower at her feet carefully.

opale12 - The beast shifted

opale12 -
The beast shifted his weight slightly, tracing his eyes to the flower she picked and dropped between her feet. She was still smiling… but why? What reasons were there to smile at a hideous stranger? Sympathy, perhaps? Whatever the reason, it started to make him feel uncomfortable. His head turned to look at her more clearly and a deep, raspy voice escaped from his black lips, “What are you smiling for?” His tone was a tad bit harsh. Harsher than what he expected it to be.

Freyja -
His black ears twitched back as she squealed, almost as if trying to block out the sharp, painful sound. Noises seemed so much more sensitive to his ears now than it did before the fight, and to be quite honest, it was irritating. He didn’t bother to look at the doe, instead staring at the wall in front of him and blinking heavily. Ears ticked to and fro as the doe returned, listening to her carefully. Mm, water. He was quite thirsty. Dehydrated, in fact. So parched that his throat and mouth were too dry to form coherent words. He licked his dry black lips and another groan escaped from his dried throat.

Watching carefully, the doe

Watching carefully, the doe took a guess from his response and nudged the moss closer to him so it was within reach, then went to retrieve more from the same old tree as before. "Why're you so beat up?" she asked quietly, tilting her head. There had to be a reason, right? "I guess if you don't wanna answer, I understand."
alcinda's picture

He lifted his head and

He lifted his head and stretched his neck to reach for the moss. It took several tries before he successfully grabbed onto it with his mouth; laying his head back onto the ground to avoid hurting himself even more. He squeezed the moss with as much force as he could to drain it of its moisture, and although it did not contain the desired amount to quench his thirst, it was still enough to moisten his mouth. Once finished, the stag pushed the moss out of his mouth with his tongue, not quite ready to respond to her yet. After staring at the wall for fifteen seconds or so, he finally replied, “Fight,” he said in an unusually raspy voice. He trailed off many times, trying to find the right words. “If… you pay attention enough… you’ll probably… hear about it… soon.” There was no way he would explain the whole thing, because he himself was not sure how it got so blown out of proportion.
opale12's picture

The luminescent doe blinked a few times when his voice cracked through the undying silence of the forest between them. Is one not allowed to smile at a stranger? Is one's kind gesture to go rejected, too? Her voice was fluid, soft and eloquent. It sounded of a warm spring morning, but followed with the grace of winter. What is your name, I pray you?

(sorry it's so short!)
alcinda's picture

He made a ‘hmph’ sound at her

He made a ‘hmph’ sound at her response. It wasn’t that he didn’t appreciate her kindness, it was just… unfamiliar. Strange. The large beast stared at her intensively; his eyes squinted very slightly. He was reluctant to give out his name, but he figured she would find out sooner or later.

There was a short pause. “Ramsus,” he said curtly.
Freyja's picture

She turned around with the

She turned around with the rest of the moss to listen, wishing he could be clearer. With a shrug she gave him the rest, hoping it was enough to comfort him. "There are....things i've missed out on before. Information doesn't travel that well, I guess. Or it's just me." A nagging suspicion curdled in the back of her mind about an old friend, but she hadn't heard a word in months. That kind of thing. Sorrel finally sat down, gritting her teeth in solemn contemplation for a while. "Well, whatever happened, i'm sorry. I hope things get better for you."
alcinda's picture

Ramsus watched the doe

Ramsus watched the doe intently in the corner of his eye. She seemed bothered by an unknown force, a feeling he was quite familiar with. He moved one of his forelimbs slightly, partly testing if he could move it at all. He chuckled softly. A smile slowly crept upon his dark lips, though it was not a friendly gesture or any of the likeness. It was more hysterical than anything. “In all likeliness,” he trailed off, “… it won’t.” He was pessimistic, that’s for sure. But not without good reason.
Freyja's picture

She snorted in a

She snorted in a light-hearted way, the beginning of a smile beginning to creep onto her sullen face. "What a downer!" she laughed playfully, dropping the bad thoughts from before as quickly as she'd brought them up. "You musta done something pretty bad to get this treatment...but, man, don't tell me what. Or you just got mixed up with the wrong crowd. I think there's a lot of that around here. Quite scary, really."
alcinda's picture

His smile ceased and a frown

His smile ceased and a frown formed upon his lips. Had he done something wrong? Was refusing to give a friendly greeting so bad? Was he wrong to be protective of a defenseless fawn against two stags he deemed unpredictable? Should he have stepped down at the very start? Thoughts swarmed around his head and he stared out into space; he almost forgot the doe was sitting down next to him. The beast shook his head and closed his eyes. “I suppose I was in the wrong,” he said finally.
opale12's picture

She lifted her neck, soft and

She lifted her neck, soft and well furred with many cottony pink flush tufts. She widened her own strikingly white orbs, pondering perhaps. Ramsus. She repeated his name back to him, as if saying it aloud to him would inscribe it into her memory, so that it could never be lost. Ah, what a wonderful name. I am called Báisè, but I take any name I am given. With that, the doe proceeded to gracefully curtsy at him, just like before.

"Do you think you deserved

"Do you think you deserved it?" The ginger asked, genuinely curious. "It doesn't really matter anymore though. I've had a few fights here...but they never lasted long." She flicked her eyes up to her forehead where a new scar had blossomed within the past few months. "Sometimes it's worth it, even for a stranger, I think." She sighed, shivering and shaking out her mane. "Now i'm getting all sentimental, dammit!"

Key jumped from tree to tree; gathering bits and pieces of materials to make crafts. She really did enjoy making things!
The tiny butterfly doe finally settled on a branch to take a break, nibbling on some freshly picked blueberries. Nice and sweet.

It wasn't until shortly after she noticed a dark figure just below the tree. Key froze completely, not making a sound or a flutter of her monarch wings.

Key was shocked from what she saw when this monstrous creature turned his head; giving her a full view of his face.
At first Key was unsure what to make of this unique- and also quite frightening- stag. Her curious side was screaming to investigate and perhaps even speak to the male- but then there was the alarm ringing inside her head. It could be dangerous.

The fact that this tiny little bugdoe could be easily squished under this male's might; for this fear is the reason for her dislike of stags.

Opale12 – Wonderful name?

Opale12 –
Wonderful name? Yeah, sure. Sometimes he wished he didn’t have name, that way he couldn’t be associated with whatever horrible things the name was attached to. He raised a brow slightly - Báisè, eh? It sounded foreign; he wasn’t quite sure if he’d be able to pronounce it right. He turned away from the pale doe as she curtsied again, feeling awkward by the unfamiliar body language. The deer here seemed to do it a lot, and he had no clue how to respond to it.

Freyja –
The beast laid in silence for a good couple minutes, still thinking about the gruesome event. He’d nearly killed someone. He moved some of his legs slightly, feeling a bit uncomfortable in his position. “Perhaps,” he replied after she finished, still staring off into space. “But I don’t know if they deserved it, either.” Ramsus started to feel vulnerable now; he’d just realized that he opened up to a doe he barely knew in his time of weakness. How pathetic.

RikkaChan
Ramsus sat facing the bottom of the tree with a hint of desperation in his tired eyes. He licked his black lips and guided his tongue along the bark, sliding it upon its textured surface. It tasted absolutely disgusting. He felt starved; he didn’t want to kill anything… but he knew he’d have to hunt soon. The brute opened his mouth and scraped his sharp teeth against the tree, trying to somehow rid his growing appetite. Frustrated, the dark stag got up and stomped off… but only to return hurtling at the tree and ramming his horns into it. The powerful force of the bull shook the tree and Ramsus snorted out of irritation. He was glad nobody saw that... or so he thought. He wasn’t quite aware that there was a doe in the tree he had just crashed into.

Shiori - Ahh it's quite alright. Ram doesn't mind. :3

Key was about to take flight

Key was about to take flight before the stag rammed into the tree she sat on, letting out a squeak as it startles her- losing her grip on the branch and tumbling down onto something warm and soft. Key kept her eyes closed; afraid of opening them- huddled up in a tiny ball.

She kept very still and slowly opened one eye, immediately noticing she was on the back of a muscular stag; whose face was of a beast's.
Key's instincts kicked in almost instantly as she flipped onto her four hooves and jumped off the stag's back. Her powerful, long legs giving her a good distance from the male.

Key's large, black eyes focused on his face, waiting for him to make a move.
She was a 3 inches tall bugdoe, a tiny little creature whose combat skills are poor- however dodging attacks on the other hand was her specialty.
Key tried to think up of ways to escape in case things got rough; knowing that she could just take flight and be done with it.

There was something, something Key could not understand. She was not afraid. Here is a dark creature with eyes that hunger for blood and Key is standing her ground- there was something that needed to be done here. She could feel it.

"Different," She suddenly bursts out, "Key has not seen male like you before."

alcinda's picture

He stood completely still.

He stood completely still. The beast felt something very small and light on his back – if he hadn’t been so alert, he probably wouldn’t have felt it. Ramsus quickly turned his head to look at the small creature. Eh, what is that… a large bug? He could barely see any details on the creature. As it jumped off, the large brute moved his head closer towards the tiny thing, though he made sure not to get his eye too close to it in case it decided to try and poke his eye out. He studied the very small details on the creature; it looked as if it were a doe mixed with a butterfly… how strange. This forest seemed to be filled with creatures more unusual than himself.

Ramsus almost jumped when he suddenly heard it talk. His one eye remained fixed on the little bugger, still trying to figure out what it is exactly. “Different? How so?” He said in a deep, raspy voice.
RikkaChan's picture

"Strong. Key can feel it."

"Strong. Key can feel it." She tilts her head and blinks a few times before adding, "Strong heart."
She inches closer, her hooks digging into the ground as she walks- leaving little holes inside her hoof prints. Key's long antenna dragged on the ground beside her, somehow waving as though there was a breeze- however there was not.

Stopped at a respectable distance and sniffed the air in the stags direction. A carnivore, Key could smell the meat from a meal days before thanks to her strong nose. Her sensitive ears could hear his hunger; she could tell the stag had not eaten in the long time.
This made Key nervous for a second, but quickly- and surprisingly- remembered one thing she saw while on her daily harvesting run.

"Stay." She ordered without a second thought and leaped into the bushes, up the trees and deeper into the forest. Returned 15 minutes later panting and tugging on something much larger than she was. Thankfully, she had inherited the power of an ant. The strength to lift things that were twice her size.

Earlier that day; Key had found a fox carcass not far from a stream. It appeared to have suffered from many cuts and gashes, making death its fate. The body was fresh and the meat had not started to rot yet, so Key figured it was the best thing she could offer as a trade for her life.

"Stag.. eat? Hungry?" She tried her best to word herself.
Freyja's picture

"Well," she sighed, mane

"Well," she sighed, mane loosening a little as she relaxed into her shoulders. "What's done is done...," Not noticing how uncomfortable the stag was getting, Sorrel sniffed at the air and twitched her ears, noticing the scent of another friend. Slowly getting to her thin legs, she looked at him once more. "If you're okay, i'll head off now, stranger. Maybe we'll meet again tomorrow?"

(( Thought I should start wrapping this up before it drags on too long! ))
alcinda's picture

RikkaChan - The stag rolled

RikkaChan -
The stag rolled his eyes at her comment. Strong heart? Yeah, right. He watched the little creature carefully, wondering how she even got through the day without being accidentally stepped on.

Of course, the thought of eating the little creature had indeed crossed the beast’s mind. But it left as quickly as it came; he certainly could not kill something that he’d just had a conversation with… plus she’d be a pain to catch. And a creature of that size would do nothing to satisfy his hunger. The brute was completely consumed in his thoughts to hear what the tiny doe had said, instead staring off into space thinking about various things for a good fifteen minutes. He was quickly brought out of his thoughts, though, as the smell of decay drifted into his nose; saliva immediately began to fill up his mouth, slowly making its way down the corners of his mouth. Ramsus almost lurched at the fox carcass; swiftly picking it up with his mouth and swallowing it whole for the most part. There was little blood on the sides of his mouth, though it was still evident that the beast had just finished eating a meal. Unfortunately the fox carcass was still a bit small to completely satisfy his hunger, but it would keep him going for a good couple days until he could find something bigger.

The stag was not quite sure how to thank the small doe. He’d never done something like that before, so he sort of stood there awkwardly just staring at the little creature.

Freyja -
He continued to stare off into space, avoiding giving her any eye contact. “Yes, that would be wise,” he said in a deep monotone voice. The brute was sort of glad she was leaving; he didn’t want to start spilling out his heart to this stranger. He was terribly vulnerable at the moment.

(yep that's fine <3)
RikkaChan's picture

"..Eat Key?" She had to ask,

"..Eat Key?" She had to ask, even though she was afraid of the answer. Maybe he will still kill her even though Key helped him.
She shook her head roughly and put on a brave face and looked up at the tall ram, unable to control her legs from shaking with the need to run. Unsure of the expression on the male's face.

The little monarch doe didn't like being afraid all the time; she wanted to be strong and tall like this stag so she can defend herself from enemies.
Key's younger brothers and sisters would tease her often for her size; she was the smallest of the litter of monarch fawns. Smaller than the palm of a humans' hand. Her parents and medicine doctor assumed this little one would die from being so weak and unable to maintain heat to keep herself warm.

There were times where she almost died during her few weeks of new life; Key frequently became ill and ran high fevers. Stuck in her bed nest while her sisters and brothers played outside. They even learned how to fly before her- leaving her to teach herself how to take flight by herself; her parents wanted nothing to do with a sickly daughter.

But Key is here. Key is still alive; she is strong too! She thought as she puffed out her chest and waited what the ram had to say.
