Haha okay. Jup was kinda more worried about Walter, anyways. She was generally distressed by Niko's antics, and not being allowed near Umay and everyone in-general... well.... XD nuff said, right?
Hmmm.... for both of us Jupiter just suddenly vanished from the middle of them? o.O We didn't see her anymore so we moved a bit and actually went for a nap so we were afk :'D
It was a pleasure to meet Jupiter just now. I apologize if Sherlock seemed distant. My keys jammed and he couldn't really interact with her normally for a minute there upon greeting her.
Jupiter is so friendly :3 Myszka recognized her scent from many days ago and went to sit near her despite not really recognizing her, so he was still very wary. He is sad to see how hurt she is now from the lively fawn she was jumping in her special flower patch; but at least she retains some of her old self, neh? (soul freckles, lol)
<3 Haha her freckles fell off, but she's still the same sweetie on the inside, I think. Sorry I left so quickly, Nim, I went to help Birdie with a mini-spell.
She recognized Myszka and was very happy to snuggle him for the brief moment!
Hey, just wondering if I was glitched or something.. 8D; Crucio was attacking Nikodim and also attacked Poplar later with Umay when she ran over (it was right after Adriian rejected Poplar I think), I'm wondering if my viewer's glitched and he wasn't there? .__. I think everyone else saw him.. idek, maybe it's just the forest going weird with the weather, lol
He was there. Poplar was more focused on Umay than anything, considering that she blamed her for the rejection. Sorry if it felt like I was ignoring you.
Oh, no that's okay ♥ I figured it was either a viewer glitch on my end or lag, since I know especially when there's weather in the forest a lot of people get some nasty lag. xD Just wanted to ask because I'd probably try restarting if it was a glitch o-o good to know though, thank you <3
Golden hooves gleamed against the breaking sunlight, a shining beacon against the diminishing fog. The buck, though less than half the doe's size, radiated authority. The melting wax upon his curled tines dribbling down his scrawny neck.
The tip of his pointed muzzled was flecked with blood. Her blood. That was alright though. The mark of a gentleman's nature.
"You can rest here..." he murmured softly, a highish voice that matched his tiny stature. Still, it was commanding in nature. The fellow certainly wouldn't have taken no for an answer
The doe smiled at the small thing, her eyes dulled and tired. This wasn't the best time to be meeting anyone, Poplar mused, while she was so beaten up and ragged-looking. The doe let her head lower, smiling. "Thank you, Bartleby. You're kind." The doe read his name, feeling an odd feeling that part of the name there was obscured. She hoped he would not act as Malachi had and be upset that she read his pictogram. Then again, it seemed that Malachi had no idea his was there.
"I hope you will excuse my appearance... It has been quite a rough day."
There was a sharp flinch as his name was upon the doe's lips, his large ears pressed tightly against the crown of his skull as he openly stared at her. "There is no kindness in helping a... Missus... in distress. Nobility, yes, but certainly not kindness." his tone seemed to bite at her, the flames upon his candles flaring for a quick second.
He flicked his bushed tail, though his stature was considerably more stiffened. "You're... excused..." he awkwardly cleared his throat, though never took his eyes off the tip of her forehead.
The doe let her ears slowly flare out to the sides, erring on caution now that she saw the being rouse to a negative demeanor. No kindness? "Why would there not be any kindness, Sir Bartleby? Any helping mind contains a kindness. Otherwise... well, one wouldn't have the mind to help." She thought it fact, but introduced it with a small voice. She was tired enough to succumb to the smaller stag's authority, but no promises were made as to whether their next meeting would be quite as submissive on her part.
"Though I do not mind the formality of Missus, I feel it's fair to share my name as well. I am Poplar." Pop was probably being too forward, but she did not know the concept yet. It seemed she was always of high rank, unless she was afraid. Only one beast made her fear without thought of rebuke. And he was somewhere sleeping now.
(I'm glad then c': I'm always worried that I'm interfering with an rp of some sort rofl))
From the way that his small form began to slacken, it seemed as though the title of 'Sir' had pacified him, though he held his muzzle high all the same. "I... suppose it's simply a matter of perspective, Miss..." he murmured, wrenching his searing gaze away from her. He wasn't one to argue with a being that looked so pathetically beaten. He could at least savor the fact that she was wrong. Bartleby had simply helped her as it was his duty to do so. If anything, he wouldn't have cared if she had along the way to the tree that they lounged under.
"Miss Poplar..." he nodded his head towards her, muzzle briefly dipping down to his chest. "You seem to know my title, at the very least... I didn't think that I was... ah... well known." his brow furrowed, as if troubled before he exhaled a tired sigh. "Unless you have sort of power that enables you to know that..." Hopefully she hadn't caught wind of his first name.
The doe tried not to giggle, swallowing it and maintaining a semblance of composure. This deer was an odd little thing, to say the least. His name was partially hidden, his whole demeanor branded him a prince. And he had the "title" of Sir? Intriguing and definitely worth the company came to mind.
"I assure you that I only can read whatever The Gods of this place write above your head." An awkward explanation, as Poplar was famed for. "You are too... noble of a being not to be called Sir." Her bluntness seemed unsettling, so she tried for a passive compliment.
Good thing the buck wasn't the best at reading body language, otherwise he would have likely noticed her stifled laughter. Instead, he cocked his head to the side in confusion of her explanation, lips pursed. "I had never assumed that they could be read, merely that they were a crude identification system..." he muttered bitterly. Still, he could at least take comfort in the fact that the doe only seemed to know one of the three names he had in the first place.
It was her second comment that caused his small being to stiffen once more. "I... I kindly ask that you refrain from... ah... mocking me..." he stumbled, looking off to the side.
The doe's brief visage of calm broke, her eyes widening at the accusation. She calmed and shook her head. "I did not mock you." She spoke with a matter-of-fact tone, while still sounding slightly shocked.
The doe let herself cool. Why did he seem as if she were breaking every manner in the book? If that made her primitive enough... He seemed as if he weren't from here. The doe's tail brushed the grass in an arc as she peered at him directly. "What made you think so?"
(Poplar and I enjoyed our time with Bartleby <3 Regrettably it is time for bed... it's 1am here. >.< If you want to continue this RP you are more than welcome. I really enjoy every chance I get to do so.)
