Chicken for dinner.

-----Gone from the forest! I just wanted to fix the css. Sorry! Not altering anything else, this last update was cute.-------

Was simply sitting with his family when Neela accidentally cast everyone to the land before time.

The unlucky one of the bunch. Hit his head on landing, and passed most of the time being unconcious. Yes. You might want to read other updates if whatever happend interests you.

Woke up to two Neela's, who seemed a little panicked as they attempted to wake him up. Eugh. It's still early. Regardless, the kid was persistent, and finally tried to make sense of what she was saying. Something about a giant beast, and a knife, and all sorts of kids stuff. Pft. Did wonder where they were and where Herla had gone, though.

Mostly waved whatever she was telling off as fantasies, though it was odd the season had changed since his nap. Tried to calm her down, and waited with the child until both Herla and Verve were back. And his brain was back in place.

Apparantly they were invisible for a moment too, which did not help things.

Suggested they find water, which they then did. Relieved his eldest daughter was around, and was part giraffe or something. She kept a good eye on the environment. And ridiculously long ear, too.
Got to silently think as they walked, Herla leading. Even with her terrible sense of direction, water she was well able to find. Regardless, seemed to experience the place as more open than the forest. Less, blocking.. Made a comment about them 'being alright' when Herla said something about making a fire to scare off the monsters. Likely didn't need to make a fire.

Watched his daughters work together to figure out the way back, though kept a good eye on the environment. Golden mask back on. Heard a twig snap, stomped towards the bush to scare off whatever it was. A small, bird-like creature sprinted off from behind it. Dissapointing. That looked pretty edible.

The moment Neela succeeded in casting the spell, a whole bunch of the damn things jumped out of the bush at the family. Shielded them with his antlers, and returned to the endless forest with sharp toothed chickens hanging from his antlers.
Proceeded to slaughter them all with his daughter and wife.
The end.

Zach didn't say anything to him today, wanting to give Gehirn some privacy in a sense. The loss is too fresh for them all, but if Gehirn feels like talking to Zach at any point, feel free. I'm sure we won't mind.

My doe came across Gehirn

My doe came across Gehirn today my accident. She nor I realized he was there. Totally oblivious. Anyway I hope we didn't cause too much stress or trouble for him, and we offer our well wishes concerning his twins. Again, I apologize for any troubles she may have caused, and perhaps when he might be under less stress someday they could meet again under different circumstances.

Oh hello! I have to admit I don't know when I should've seen you? When that little group was hopping about? Well, anyway, thanks XD

I have to say I bolted when I

I have to say I bolted when I saw Gehirn. xD It was when that group was hopping around, maybe I overthought things a bit, but I was just startled a bit because of the whole warning in his bio about warding off strangers and how it is the day before the twins' birth and well, honestly, Gehirn scares me a bit. In a good way I suppose? I think that makes sense. Please don't take that the wrong way though. c:

Haha aww! The strangers did

Haha aww! The strangers did cross his lines, hopping pretty much on top of Herla, but I doubt they had aaany understanding of Geh's annoyance.
He scares you? XD Well I suppose it's a compliment, in a way. He's not that bad, though, he just takes a while longer to get comfortable around others.

I guess that is why I did not

I guess that is why I did not see him at first xD;; The strangers seemed pretty oblivious of his irritation. It almost looked like they thought he was playing with them. : o

In a way, yes. Even I'm not sure quite what I meant by that. x3
And if you would like to, I think it would be nice if my deer could begin to take those first steps towards becoming more comfortable around him? If it's okay with you that is~
Would you like to roleplay sometime, if you aren't busy?

That's alright! I suppose he is a bit intimidating, supposed to be too. I doubt you're the first one to hesistate approaching him XD (whatnot with all my warnings.)
I have no problem with roleplays, they may not go superfast but alright. I do prefer in-forest interaction, that also gives Gehirn a chance to reply naturally. That may at the moment, CERTAINLY at the moment mean he won't be positive. But there's always a difference between deer who run up to him or deer who give him space XD

I apologize for the late reply, but for now would you like to roleplay? Gehirn seems a bit busy at the moment. xD

Speaking of that, poor Gehirn! All those fawns and deer were crowding around him, and he looked like he didn't like it much. The fawns are so bold these days! xD;;

Congratulatons on his twins, though. Desi was present for the birth, and still is laying around somewhere by the glade... I hope she isn't being a bother. c:

"Hey, hey, Gehirn!" a small

"Hey, hey, Gehirn!" a small voice calling from somewhere in the unknown, to appear grown young doe. Shimmering scarlet eyes immediately plunged into it and jumped like a fawn. "When I come back bored? I have a lot of fun, I need to relax." she laughs. Trotted around, turned around and went back and with one leap she turned against him. In the eyes of children had a special feeling, but her behavior was rather slight provocation. She stood at the back and leaned his elbow on the front foot shoulder. She held her head. "Hello!" she shouted into his ear.

An ear flicked lazily at the call in the distance. As usual, the stag had been napping pretty much all day. He didn't expect visitors. Suddenly, the voice was really close by, and he had to open his eyes. Huh? The voice seemed familair to him, but..

Suddenly the doe was jumping in front of him, and the giant got up in response, trying to get a good look at her. "Quadda?" Seemed she had grown quite a bit, but surely that expression and those eyes had not changed one bit. "Aah! Alright, I hear you!" The stag laughed after she had yelled in his ear. "Well, you've been away for a while. Doesn't seem it did you any harm." He smiled at her playful antics. "Well, you woke me up. But you say you have to relax?" He laughed. "That was just what I was doing!"

"Really, sleep and rest is a

"Really, sleep and rest is a small difference." Quadda cleverly remarked. Carefully compared the spine, almost forfeited and took a step back. She did not go down after down and enter into his coat mud. Once the fore fell to the ground shook and looked up above him to his face. "I thought that if I almost like an adult, you'll be smaller. But it's still the same." she muttered, more to herself. Ears pointed at him - a great habit to have is a forward and a moment is passed back and grinned charmingly. Gehirn seemed still as big and strong. Last saw him when she turned the hair to the color you have now. He was like a mountain, which was given instead of wooded and rocky foothills of legs instead of antlers and the sky as the sun pictograf. "But if that mountain was really, who would get to the top?" she thought aloud.
Mis's picture

"Pfft. It's not that much of

"Pfft. It's not that much of a difference." Seems she had seen through his act. The stag watched as she seemed to take a better look at him. "Sorry." An awkard chuckle. His size was as impressive as it was bothersome to him. "You have grown though. Perhaps it's good you didn't get as big as me. No stag likes a doe bigger than him." A chuckle. Or, atleast, that is how he thought how their mind worked. What use is a stag if you have to protect him yourself?
The giant tilted his head slightly at her next comment. "Mountain?" He looked around them for a moment to see this mountain she was speaking of, until he realised she likely meant him. Another laugh. "Only the bravest does and stags could get to the top, I think." The stag winked at her, before he folded his knees under his chest and lowering his large body to the ground. However gentle he always tried to do that, he'd always come down with a loud thud. "Have you been travelling Quadda?" Gehirn asks curiously.
Mis's picture

*Whistle*

*Whistle*

"Yes," she said, slowly

"Yes," she said, slowly passed in front of him. The hind legs slid under him like a rubik's cube and when she lay down, lay it gently over the back legs one front, like a castle. "Much much more... Well... actually, heh, it's not so far. It's a short walk away, but rarely appears. I'm talking about the Mist. A special unit. Who passes through, finds himself somewhere else. On the other hand, the Meadow. I was born there, but I grew up here. Then I returned to find anything about his parents... and now I quite ashamed." she said a little guilty, and closed her eyes. Pushed the idea of ??the cruelty of one of their parents away, far beyond its diamond heart. Then head back up and brightened. She smiled. "But traveling as it can be considered. Went by quickly and I'm here again. I think he ran away..." Quadda thought for a moment and stared into the unknown, than looked back at him and grinned. She adjusted her position slightly. Drew one leg under her and the other pulled back closer to the scarred shoulder.
Mis's picture

The dark stag listened to the

The dark stag listened to the does story quietly, imagening it. A mist that brought one to a meadow? Interesting. He wondered if he perhaps had ever seen it before. "You weren't born here either then huh." A gentle smile upon his features as he looks at her. "Neither was I. Sorry to hear about your parents, though." It sounded like she didn't have the best experience on that. "Travelling isn't always bad. And now you know where you came from, right?" He tried to respond to her positivily. "I'm sure you'll be fine, you're a strong doe." The stag grinned back at her. Her scar proved that.
"You're welcome to ask if you need help, though, do remember that." He didn't have any problem assisting the young doe would she need him.

"Oh, help? Well... I think I

"Oh, help? Well... I think I do not know the steps to heaven, right? Or home of the gods," she grinned. Her head whirling 'strong doe'. Resisted proud puff. She would then look like a frog, she thought often. "I actually born outside Endless Forest and stories still talking the same thing. Mother left me here and went back through the Mist. My mother disappeared with her. Legends on the other hand Mists often say that she killed my father - Black Deer - out of love - hrrrh. That's what I found when I returned to the Meadow. There are also deer, but a little different than here. They said a lot about their and our world and world of the Endless Forest..." Quadda stopped for a moment. "Actually - I really do not know where I belong. I grew up without a family and as the saying goes: 'Family makes a home'... I'm stupid. I can not choose between Endless Forest and Meadow, and one of them call 'my home'. I'm sorry, probably bother you terribly. I talk too much!"
Mis's picture

He laughed. "Alright, well, I

He laughed. "Alright, well, I guess even I can't help you with those." Clever doe. He listened to her talking about her parents. "She killed him out of love?" He shuddered. He hoped his mate wouldn't do that to him. That'd be a weird experience he was sure. Gehirn was curious about that meadow now, wondered if it was similair to his forest.
"You're not bothering me. I understand what you meant. I left my home because there was nothing left for me, and I came here. It took me very long before I called the Endless forest home, but as long as you give yourself the chance of starting over I'm sure you will find your place here too." The meadow she came from didn't sound like such a suitable place, actually. "Do you like it here better than in the Meadow?" He asked, looking at the doe curiously.

"Did you baffled. He killed

"Did you baffled. He killed her. My father killed my mother, you know, maybe I'm wrong I'm a little word," she said gently. The front legs stretched out in front of her and gently lifted and tilted her head to get stretched back. Then he asked, taking the position that there was all the time. "If it's better than the Meadow? Absolutely. There's a shadow. When I want the sun just come out to the pond, there is lit. The Meadow is the sun from morning till night, and small groups of trees in there fighting. Behave there as carnivores fighting for a piece of meat. In addition, some places the grass taste for blood, here and there you will find a dead or dying. No paradise. I mean, I definitely like it better here."
Mis's picture

"Ah.." He smiled awkwardly.

"Ah.." He smiled awkwardly. "That makes more sense, I must've misheard you.." Phew. Perhaps Herla wasn't going to kill him.
A shadow? Sounded like a dark place indeed. "Well, if this forest is better, then there's no doubt where your home is, right?" Why choose for a bad place? The stag stretched his neck for a moment, yawning. "This place isn't so bad.. You're young, you'll find friends so close to you you can call them family." The giant smiled to himself for a moment, his eyes closed.

"Family," she repeated slowly

"Family," she repeated slowly and hypnotically pulled the front legs to put them on her head thoughtfully. Her eyes came down blades of grass in front of she. "What is it like to have it?" she asked quietly.

He turned his head to look at the doe, her head in the grasses. "What it's like to have family?" He repeated her question to himself. That was a difficult one. He had never really lived without, had always had his brother even if he newly arrived here. Even if his brother was crazy. Gehirn pondered it for a while. "It makes me feel like I have a purpose. Someone to protect, to love. As much my mate as my children, as the friends I quietly call brother." Gehirn didn't adopt such relationships. That didn't feel right. But some were as important to him as if they could have been a brother or a sister. The names flew through his mind but he would not name them. "I came here pretty much alone as well. You can't pick a family or force anyone to become yours. But you can let things grow. Live, and the rest will follow."

Quadda silent. Gehirn was not only great as a mountain, but beneath that muscle mass was also wise. Yes, what you said, it was wise. She closed her eyes and tried to imagine those feelings, he finally said that it should have run. Slowly she opened her eyes and looked up. "It makes sense," she said, and shook his head. Downloaded the ears to the head again and just watched him calmly. "Tell me something."

"I'm glad." Atleast he made sense. That was always a worry for him. It was easy to misunderstand. He lifted his eyebrows when she asked him to tell her something. "Uhm. What do you want to know?" Just something seemed to be too much freedom. What could one possibly tell?

"I like stories. Talk to be

"I like stories. Talk to be something that you dream, or... what you experienced as a young and stuff. It does not matter, I like listening to stories," she smiled sweetly, as if just licked honeycomb. A little legs freed from under her body and is deposited again.

Quadda emerged from behind

Quadda emerged from behind the trees. She was walking very carefully behind him, with tearful eyes. "Please... help me. I do not want to fight..." wailed and flung into the air reaching the lungs. "Please Gehirn. How does it do to avoid fighting and did not fight with anyone? Please teach me... If it keeps up, I die... And I do not want to die."
Mis's picture

The stag looked at the doe

The stag looked at the doe with a frown. She had been fighting, again? The giant got up to stand next to her. "How you stop fighting?" He walked around her in a circle. "Have you looked at yourself? You're a doe. You don't have antlers." He gently bumped one of his big front tines against her forehead. "You do not have as much muscle as a stag. You are not as big as a stag." He said whilst looking down on her. "You RUN. You don't fight. Even if it's embarassing, choose for your health." He wasn't impressed by her behaivor. "Swallow your pride. Only if you know when to fight and when to run are you a good fighter."

She stepped back. "I know

She stepped back. "I know that I doe, but the neighborhood knows about it," whimpered a little. The hind legs had apparently stopped to listen, because she slowly slid to the ground. The front legs gradually stretching, as well as neck and gathered more heavily air. She had no injuries other than bruises on the legs and hips and torn coat. Her right foot kept most of the time in the air and did not go after her. I would probably say something instead of just helplessly gasped and rose again from the ground. She looked at Gehirn. "What... what... what if but I can not run? What if something inside me will say that I must not run away? What then...? From a fight I wanted to run away, but something stopped me."
Mis's picture

"What does the neighbourhood

"What does the neighbourhood know? That you're a fighter? Change your ways then." He watched her sit down. "How do you mean not being able to run? If you're that hurt that you can't?" He looked at her wounds as he sat down besides her. "Otherwise you can always run. All that can hold you back is your pride, and then that is your own fault. One can always run." He could not imagine someone telling him they couldn't run just because. If you broke your legs, okay. He sighed. "I would offer you to come for my help if you would really need it, but you would endanger my family, and I can't have that. Selfish, but it's true."

"That's why I never came for

"That's why I never came for help, until now. More... I came for advice on how to change it," she said. She stood on her feet, yet again put on the floor with a loud sprinkles. "I saw a few deer, who escaped from the battle. And died. I do not want to die on the run, but neither in combat. I would like to have own family, another life... But I had to be born again..." she said to herself rather the last sentence and hung her head.
Mis's picture

"It helps not to provoke

"It helps not to provoke another. Not to taunt. To back away, show you're not into a fight. Stop attracting attention to yourself with mooing, works too." He frowned at her, again. There had been days she had caused him quite the headache, constantly yelling. "It could even annoy dangerous deer.." He thought about the deer who would die because of fleeing for a moment. "I've seen more deer die on the battlefield than dying because they didn't fight. You should train your stamina, not your fighting. So you can outrun any predator, then you'll be fine." Gehirn looked at her again. She had the body to run. He was not able to run so fast, so he had a body to defend. Large, musculair. She was sleak, smaller. "Don't give up on that life Quadda.. You just need to use your head a little bit more. And not for headbutting."
