Mask: Real Deer (temporary); Waiting for Endless Halloween to (fairly) get the Zombie Skull
Vatika is a large deer who draws much of her strength from her size alone.
However, due to her severely hollowed sides, slender legs and jutting ribs, the doe appears emaciated, even deathly.
Adding to her unnerving look is her face; rumour has it that the eyeless skull isn't a mask at all.
Her antlers are a mystery, and lend her a very masculine appearance.
The tattered grey ribbons that twist and twine about her neck and leg are seemingly permanent; a closer look reveals that they are wound extremely tightly...almost painfully so.

Vatika the Everlost is a very independent doe who goes wherever the wind takes her. She considers herself something of a guardian in self-exile, choosing to ghost the fringes of the Forest and watch the other deer from afar.
Being a somewhat ethereal being, Vatika is highly sensitive to the various energies of the forest. Like a moth to a flame, she is naturally drawn to deer who are in emotional or physical distress, or to fights or large gatherings. If your deer is depressed or has suffered a loss, you could perhaps expect a silent visit from the Everlost.
She can usually only be found in remote areas, or late at night when the Forest is at its quietest. However, Vatika does not mind having a bit of company from time to time; she will be content to walk or run with any deer who is dedicated enough to seek her out, no matter what their reputation.
While Vatika is often emotionally removed to the point of seeming cold, she is strangely protective of fawns, and will harbour any that come across her path. If any fawn feels the desire for a peaceful break from the other deer, they are always welcome at Vatika's side.
Calm and passionless, Vatika's interactions with others are mostly passive. She will rarely fight, even if blatantly provoked. If she crosses paths with other deer, she will sometimes hide and watch them from the shadows, or (if she finds them intriguing) stalk them follow them quietly as they go about their day.

Bonds
Acisse: While bonds are a hard thing for Vatika to form, this enigmatic deer has enraptured the Everlost. Acisse never speaks, yet Vatika is a slave to the incredible energy that surrounds them, and will follow their every movement. Of course, consorting with such energy exhausts Vatika; Acisse has a very good sense for this, and will allow Vatika long periods of rest between their cross-Forest sprints.
Memories
Dinah Moon: Vatika has never recalled any sort of fawnhood, but for whatever reason, Dinah is very familiar to her. The elegent doe's scent evokes memories of soft fur and warmth, and inspires a haze of emotion in Vatika that confuses her. For now, she must be content to ghost the doe's tracks and keep a watchful eye.
Interests
All Rutting Stags: The raw masculine energy emitted by these stags thrums constantly in Vatika's mind. Because of this, she is fatefully drawn to them, even though it drains her utterly. Vatika truly wishes she could just ignore them all.
1. If you take any issue at all with Vatika interacting with your characters as such, feel free to let me know.
2. If you want to RP with Vatika, see my personal blog (coming soon!) for more info. =)
3. I have absolutely no problem with other deer interacting in-character with Vatika; thus, I will never take offense from any character-driven actions that occur in the Forest.
4. Not only do I give you permission to act completely in-character with me in the Forest, I encourage it. If your deer is a fighter with a hatred for skull masks, then by all means, hunt Vatika down for a day or six. Go ahead; run her ragged. (Granted, she probably won't much care, but it'll make for an interesting chapter in her life story, no?)
