After my first battle with Wesker, I had rest for but a day. Before healing much, I had been pulled into a rematch, once again being aided by Scarecrow. The rematch seemed a bit like one of my past fights with Darcy, in the sense that it had been on the public side. I had won the rematch, but had been worn down more than I'd like. My condition had not been this bad since the attack on Virgil's group, to be brutally honest. It wasn't quite as bad at least.
The following day had been spent with Kaoori, Bastilion, Amary, and several others. Initially I had been on route to the lake when Kaoori found me. I was too tired to make it, so we simply sat. Many came and went, and over time we had varied forms of sit-lines and sit-circles. Burrow had come to be as an entertainer, and managed to pull many of my companions into dancing antics. While we were resting - or I suppose, I was resting and the others making sure I don't kill myself with another fight... heh... Wesker returned, and seemed to want another rematch. I was about to oblige, but thankfully Bastilion stepped in and sent both Wesker and his companion away from the group.
I owe you more than you may realize, Bastilion... though I don't know if I may live long enough to pay back much.
The following day, a light fog had decended over the forest. Normally I would be thrilled, but I was still worn down. I caught Aegle's scent on the mist, and found her in the blueberry bowl. She was frozen... suspended from motion. Completely dispondent.
I sat beside her until she dissappeared. Scarecrow joined me, and quickly pulled me into joining him in bouncing around and hiding in trees. A DotD masked stag joined us at some point...
Now, my wounds have healed to a more comfortable point. My step has grown easier with each passing day. I have my strengh back, and I vow, I will deal with my newest Rival. I have not yet faught him at a peak of health. Both our fights... I had been wounded or ill before the first blow.
Today, I will stand to speak to the twin statues. Before, I had been chased away by praying fawns and random stags... I had nothing ready to say, either...
But I have a proposial for them now, concerning the upcoming rut.
Devout pelted fools had murdered all I had cared about years ago... For so long I have distanced myself from others to preserve their memory. Now I am, sadly, an old stag, long past my prime - even if I can still throw down with the best of them...
If, even dispite old age, my lost family can be replaced threw this coming fall... I will withdrawl my claims of old, that they were murderous demons. I will give the twins... a second chance.

ooc: Written while incredably tired. Pardon horrid grammar or spelling, or lack of cohersion. The idea at the end only hit me an hour ago as a way to intigrate the upcoming 'rut' into Dark's Story a bit. ^^
