Thanks everyone for another successful year of the Rut! So glad to see it all go smoothly this year!

After some discussion last night, I've been able to gather some significant criticisms that could improve future events. The first being to ensure that no matter how long the rut lasts it should always begin on a weekend.

Another is the suggestion of somewhat of a Schedule for lowered periods of activity to prevent burnout.
I'd like to know what people think of this and will be interested in reading and participating in any discussions relating to it.

Thirdly, and most significantly, has been the suggestion for the Rut to take place at the end of August instead. It won't take place during natural rut times, but players restricted by school-based obligations will have more of a chance to attend. I've hosted a Survey on this one.

Eeeey nearly that time of year again! ♥
This year the event will take place over a two week period sometime between the middle of September to middle of October.

We've also been working on what we can do to improve the event from last year. One particular change we'll be trying is the introduction of Hot Spots. For clarity, these spots are not designed to exclude the rest of the forest; everywhere with the exception of the red zones are still game. The purpose of these green marked hot spots are to help make the initial gatherings easy.
