Sage is magically-inclined, and as such, has the potential to use magic outside of the usual forest spells. But as a young fawn without a parent or guardian present in the forest to teach her how to use her powers, she has been left to learn how her magic works on her own. She's been able to figure out a few things - usually by accident - but this way of learning can be dangerous. She needs better guidance.
Perhaps the others of the forest can help.
This blog is going to be a place where players and characters can come and interact directly with Sage, with the purpose of helping her unearth new spells and abilities that she may have. You or your character could offer advice, give her something they think would help, try to teach her a spell that they know themselves, or anything at all that they think would help. You do not need a specific type of magic in mind before coming to interact with her, and your character does not have to be magically-inclined to offer their own advice, either. Both positive and negative interactions are welcome. Your character could even be trying to hinder her from learning anything at all, if that is what they want to do. Anything goes at this point.
Is your character willing to take part? What will they do to help or hinder her?

On a serious note if she did ever approach Stagg he'd happily take her under his wing, but his motive would be to get her to sign to his patron too.

@Jacklo: Hey, you never know how things might go. I wasn't particularly planning on handing her soul over to a demon, but I mean it could make for interesting conflict .^.
so yeah even this advice is about to be taken seriously---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The growing fawn's brows seemed to furrow - if one could call it that - and she stared up at the stranger. Though her memories were limited, something about the advice struck an odd chord in her mind. "But I don't know how," she started, shaking her head. "And I don't know any demons. Why would they need my soul? That doesn't seem right."
------------------------------------------
These seemed more promising. Dwarfcorn and Sartos... Actual names! Would they be willing to teach her? Had they taught others? Nature and elemental magic both seemed interesting... But there was still one problem. "Where?" she asked, head tilted. "I don't know where to find them. Are they far away? I can't leave the forest..."

The blue glow was hard to miss, especially under the shade of the trees around her. Curious, Sage trotted up to the object, though she remained careful once she got close. She could sense the magic in the air around the feather, and for a moment, she hesitated to get any closer. What if she wasn't supposed to be touching this? Who left this here, and what was it meant for?
Still, curiosity got the best of her, as it often did, and she touched it with a single hoof.
Almost immediately, the entire lower leg went numb. Sage cried out in shock, and lost her footing as the sensation in her leg disappeared. For a moment, she laid there and stared at the feather, even more uncertain than before. But yet, despite the surprise it gave her, the enchantment didn't seem inherently malicious. It certainly wasn't causing pain. And soon enough, feeling began to return to the leg, and she was able to stand on it again, though she was shaky still and wasn't putting as much weight on it as before. What now?
After a second or two of thought, Sage decided to try it one more time. But this time, she leaned forward to get her head closer to it. The antlers that were growing in were causing a few headaches occasionally, so a little relief would be welcome, even if it was temporary. However, something different happened this time. The feather began to glow even brighter, and Sage became frozen while the magic began to enter her mind. And once it did, the feather became dim, and the fawn was left with what seemed to be knowledge of the spell already in her mind.
She didn't think that she could cast it immediately, but there was some amount of understanding there, and that excited her. Was this really a new spell already? She silently thanked whoever it was that left the feather there before walking away, her tail happily swishing around her.
There were still a few tingles in her leg, though. But she could ignore that.

Neirin was not prepared for the enthusiastic curiosity his collection of books and journals were met with. He was somewhat used to the small doe beside him being so forward as to stick herself to his shoulder and look at whatever lay in front of him, the young one was a new addition however. He'd kept a thoughtful eye on her most of the afternoon, occasionally seeing her glance at his prayer beads or his journal. Neirin could very clearly feel the magic that bloomed from her, eager to grow and learn. It was a kind of pure, youthful potential of stepping foot out onto the road and no destination in mind, uncertain and thrilling. The cleric still had trouble seeing himself as any sort of teacher, but he saw the result of young practitioners with no guidance, and he would rather not see it again. Perhaps just a little nudge wouldn't hurt?
Neirin nervously cleared his throat and abruptly broke the silence, "I can't pretend that I don't sense a decent amount of magic coming from you, Sage, was it?" he calmly flipped his journal closed and crossed his hooves to properly address her, "And I also get the feeling you want to ask me about magic." Neirin smiled slightly despite himself. "Unfortunately, I can't give you proper training unless you also want to be a cleric. Which, pledging yourself to any kind of immortal being, good, evil, or something in-between, in exchange for magic is not something I'd recommend right away. Most of my power is only available to me so long as my deity allows it, you might find something of that nature a hindrance when you first start out." He paused, considering Sage for a moment.
"Magic is found in all the world around you, and you have the potential to embrace all of it. Use that to your advantage," he said, standing and trotting over to the corner of the Ruins that housed his makeshift camp. As he began rummaging around for something, Neirin continued talking, "Now, I said I can't offer you much training as a cleric, but as a Spiritfolk I might have something to give...now where is-ahA!" Neirin returned to where they were sitting, summoning an ethereal hand to carry a rather normal-looking bag. Until he deftly morphed his forelimb to something more adept and grabbing things and stuck his arm into the bag all the way up to his shoulder, that is. After a moment he retracted his arm, having found what he was looking for, a very small bit of rolled up parchment.
"I like to keep a few copies of spells on hand just in case, and this one in particular can be quite handy. It's called Light, and it pretty much does what it says on the tin. Allow me to demonstrate," Neirin briefly looked around until spotting a pine tree nearby and gave it a swift kick with one of his hooves, holding out a hand as a pinecone landed perfectly in it. "Now, this spell is touch-based and can turn almost anything into a temporary lantern. Simply find an object to use and picture the spell in your mind, and then touch it." He lightly touched the pinecone and it suddenly radiated with warm light, like a bright sunbeam in his hand. He juggled it lightly before tossing it over his shoulder into the unsuspecting woods. "Fun, right? Here," he offered the scroll to Sage, "take it if you'd like it. Other than this all I can offer is my advice, and my assistance if you truly need it," he paused once more to frown slightly, "I'm not great at...well...competently socializing...but I'd still rather not see someone get hurt just trying to learn magic, so I'll do what I can," though he meant what he said Neirin still battled with his awkward disposition. Mortals and their affairs were a puzzle to most Eidolin like him, but his constant proximity to them prompted him to try figuring it out.
He bit his lip and hoped he'd offered something of use to the child.
omg that animation killed me.
EDIT: bumping mostly because I now have a little chart showing how the different spells she's learning are affect what she might become proficient at. It is 100% subject to change as time goes on. But it does provide a sort of "visual" to help show the effect it's having on her so far.

Whether or not Neirin could tell, Sage was listening intently to every word. Indeed, she was eager to learn, and he was one of the few she had seen so far who used magic in the way he did. She watched in wonder as he changed his own hoof to something else entirely, imagining what it would be like to be able to do something as amazing as that.
However, as he explained and demonstrated the spell, the young fawn gasped in surprise. That was almost exactly the kind of spell she was trying to create before, but couldn't figure it out.
When he offered up the scroll to her, she took it without hesitation, carefully placing it between her own front hooves. It took every bit of control she had to not blurt out her thanks too loudly, and out of respect for him, she dipped her head in gratitude. "Thank you, thank you!" she said, the enthusiasm in her voice clear and bright. The end of her tail began to swish back and forth on the stones of the ruins in her excitement. "I'm going to go practice it as soon as I can! Thank you so much for this!"
