Today's Song: My! My! - Enya

---_{No sign of my dear ever-watchful, for the past two days. I have to admit, that makes me a little sad. It's nice to have him around, you know. Maybe I'll think of a name to call him; a name that only I know. Since he seems adamant about keeping his name a secret from me, and since I hardly get the chance to speak to him, I suppose it wouldn't hurt much.

Maybe I'll call him 'the phantom'. It is a rather suiting title, wouldn't you agree? That is, given his peculiar habit of appearing and disappearing so suddenly...

Today is a very special day. Tomorrow will be the beginning of a new era. This day only comes once every twelve years, so it is important that we deer make the most of it.

Yesterday I had a lot of fun hanging out with my friend, Seed. He is such a great guy! I really am lucky to have him as a friend. Most of our play was in the pond; we went skinny dipping -- teehee! Well, it's easy for me to go without a set, because I'm a fawn. But I plopped into the water and shed my flowers, anyway.

The other thing I did yesterday, was go for my very first fly through the forest! Yep, I finally did it! I found the perfect launch pad in the middle of a mushroom circle near the pond. I took off, and landed in one of the big willow trees. I danced there for a while, feeling pretty proud of myself.

Then, I laid down to admire the beauty of the forest. It really is amazing what you can see, from such an altitude... but I think I'll stay a water-deer. I adore the pond. And flying gives me a bit of a scare; while swimming doesn't pose much of a threat, save for the occasional accidental plop into the water (and thus losing my set).

Anyway, on to today. When I awoke, I found that night had fallen over the forest. I thought for sure I would spot my phantom skulking about; but no such luck. Instead, I met up with my friend, Vala! We played around for a while, migrating from one big group of deer to the next. It's funny how we deer always want to cluster together, whenever the weather changes.

Then I stumbled across Quamar, sitting all alone. I curled up next to him, thinking he might want some company, and Vala came bounding after. Quamar got up and began to show off for Vala and I. Oh, can that boy dance! I got quite a giggle out of watching him spaz around. Then we found a big herd of fireflies, and danced around in them.

After that, Vala and I laid down to watch the fireflies, and to watch Quamar spaz out, for a while.

Eventually, Quamar joined us.

I found my friend Seed, again, after that. I helped him to get his set back, which took an awful long time. The spells were being stubborn, today. But I'm glad to help, whenever I can. After that, Seed and I split up for a while. Then he bumped into me, again, while I was having a dance in the fireflies. Several other deer joined us in the dance.

Vala and I met up again, after that. We had a red-pelt party by the crying idol, and it was a ton of fun!

Then, a nice fawn approached us, and (after some prompting) got me to shed my red pelt, so he could turn me into a squirrel! I had a blast running around as a squirrel, chasing the big deer around. I think Vala was a little scared of me and my squirrelishness, though. She kept cowering at me! After that, the fawn came back and turned me into a frog. Then a bat, then a dove, and then a squirrel, again!

If you're wondering, I'm the tiny hovering picto near the top! I was a bat! |D

When I grew tired of being so tiny, I poofed back into my normal state (wearing, yes indeed, my grown-up set). I had a ton of fun, today, and I made lots of new friends. It was good to surround myself with so many friends -- both new and old -- on such a special day.

There is still the festival of lights, to come. I am planning on attending the festival, so I may update this entry in a few hours.
