After my little rendezvous with the mysterious dotd stag, I met up with Darcy. Remember, he's the one I fell asleep next to, the day it rained. I was so glad to see such a friendly face! We were joined by another fawn, and we headed off for the playground. Oh, we had so much fun, together!
After a while, two more deer approached us -- one was a beautiful peacock deer, and the other one was a fawn. We had a little dancing party on top of the rocks, before laying down to relax and enjoy the peacefullness of the forest. It was good to rest for a while, since the running, dancing, and climbing we had done earlier was beginning to take its toll on my fragile little fawn-body.
I mean, I do like to play. I'm a cheerful girl. But I'm a lot more laid back and calm, then most fawns are. Sometimes it's nice to just sit back and enjoy the peaceful ways of the forest.
After a while, we fawns began to grow a little restless. We began running around, practicing our leaps and bounds -- and then, of all things, Darcy went and laid down inside a rock, with his head poking out. As soon as I saw him, I began to burst with laughter. The peacock deer and I joined him, and eventually so did one of the other fawns.
Tada! It's the 4-headed-deer-idol-rock-monster-thing!
Anyway, I began to feel pretty tired, after that. I said my sorrowful goodbyes, and went to sleep.
---
When I woke up the next morning, I discovered a huge gathering of fawns. I introduced myself, and then began racing around full-speed. I do have my moments of hyperactivity, you see. This sparked the curiosity of a few other fawns, and they started racing around with me. Eventually, we caused a flat-out fawn stampede, which was awesome.
Of course, we fawns aren't altogether very coordinated, so eventually, we got split up. I found myself with two other fawns from the group. We had some fun playing around and doing generally fawnish things.
After a while, we grew pretty tired, and we all curled up together to enjoy the serenity of the forest.
Yes, we butt-squished a frog, in the process.
And then! You'll never guess what happened, next. I discovered that we were being watched by none other than the mysterious dotd stag. I tried to approach him carefully, but he got spooked and ran off, again.
I followed him, and found him standing on top of one of the big, red hills. I watched him for a moment, expecting him to bolt, again. After a while, I backed into a clump of long grass and laid down. After a few minutes, I was startled to find the stag walking cautiously toward me. I got up, a bit nervous that I would frighten him away, again. He moved to my side and laid down, right next to me! I laid back down, glancing at him from the corner of my eye. We laid there for a while, but good things never last long. After a while, the stag got up, and bolted once again.
I tried to follow him, but he was just too fast. I've never seen any deer run so fast! My little legs just couldn't keep up, and I was forced to give up. Fortunately, I (quite literally) bumped into my good friend, Vala! Vala is such a nice deer, I truly love hanging out with her. And she always has such interesting things to talk about!
You know, lately I've been having a lot of trouble seeing. I keep bumping into deer, losing track of where I am and stuff. I hope it's nothing serious... but I guess it's lucky I have such good hearing. Otherwise, I'd be totally lost.
Anyway, I followed Vala around for a while. We had a mini red-pelt party, with just the two of us. Then we met up with some other deer -- and Calanthe was there! I like her, she's such a sweet deer. I hope someday we can be friends. There was also another mini-doe there, who matched Vala! I thought it was pretty cute.
After that, Vala and I curled up in a mushroom circle for a bit. I was laying there, enjoying the view, when all of the sudden, I noticed a piece of bone sticking out from one of the trees! Upon closer inspection, I realized that the mysterious stag was laying inside one of the trees, watching us! The very tip of his skully nose stuck out. I watched him for a while, wishing I could lure him out of being so secretive.
I really wonder about this guy. What could have happened in his poor stag's life, to make him so deathly terrified of other deer? Is he just shy? Or is there something more to his story?
Unfortunately, I fear that I may never know. I hope I don't seem pushy or irritating to the curious deer. To be frank, I'm not sure why I've become so increasingly obsessed with him. But truth be told, I can't keep my mind off of his curious ways...
Just a few minutes ago, he gave me the biggest scare. I was frolicking through the forest, going on my merry way, when I suddenly ran face-first into him. You remember what I said about my eyesight... I can hardly see where I'm going, anymore. I cowered and tried to apologize, but I just kept stuttering and whimpering like the pathetic little fawn that I am. I felt terrible. This guy just wanted to be left alone, and I go smacking right into him!
I ran off, hoping he wouldn't chase after me -- I've seen how fast he can run! He simply watched me go. I ran until I reached the other side of the hill, then turned and looked back, to see if he had followed. Noticing that he hadn't, I cautiously trotted back up the hill. Though I was terrified that I had upset him, my overwhelming curiosity has always been my worst fault.
I reached the top of the hill, and saw that he was gone. Saddened, but simultaneously relieved, I simply stood and stared at the spot where he had once been. Then, out of nowhere, he appeared again! He stared me down for a minute, and I stood, frozen in fear. Then he galloped toward me, and I thought for sure it would be the end of me! He slid to an impressive stop next to me, gave me a once-over, and was gone.
I'm not sure what to make of this odd encounter, but I can't say I minded seeing him so close.
After that, the stag disappeared from the forest. I hope I didn't upset him too badly, and I hope I see him again, soon...
I have to admit, it's comforting to know that someone is watching over me. It's nice to look up, and see him standing there.
It makes me feel less...
alone.

I love these little journal thingehs, reading them adds a whole different perspective to the forest.

Yep, Lemon had quite a day.
I agree, I love reading other people's journals. <3 I think it makes the forest so much more dynamic.
Also, I'm dying to know who in the world this mysterious deer is, that keeps following Lem around. D: On the other hand, I kind of like the peculiarity of not knowing... xD
The peacock deer is Rowan.
Remember me from iscribble? :3
Her and Darcy are a couple, that's why they stuck so close XD
Lemon is such a lovely fawn <3333
OHHHHyeahlol. I know you,
I know you, silly!
I can't believe I didn't recognize Rowan. xD
Butyeah. I actually figured Rowan and Darcy went together, given how they acted around each other. :3
And lol, thank you. :>

I know these journals are several days old, but Lemon's diary has been the most interesting I've read so far. I can't help commenting. X3
I love the intrigue of this mysterious deer. Strange he hasn't commented yet...
lol thanks, Sarita. I'm
And I know. D: He doesn't have an account here on the website or the forum (I've scoured both for his picto lolol), so I think he probably belongs to someone with multiple deer. BUT WHO. 8|
Or maybe the player just doesn't get on either of the websites. xD idk.
Anyway, thanks again! I quite like this little drama that Lemon's wrapped herself up in, myself. <33
