With the arrival of the Big Zombie Deer, the weather had been constantly varying and many more deer had begun to come to the forest. Stormchaser was weary of this, both of the BZD'S powers and the growing groups. Without many known, he felt a sense of loneliness when Mitsuki wasn't there with him; Acaji was dead, Rosi was never there, not anymore, and Mitsuki had things to do most of the time. He had to do something other than mope around and graze and drink from the stream occasionally.
Pulling the skull over his head, he trekked to the pond where a sudden fog and cold wind hit him like a train. Shivering, even under his now thickening pelt, he took a sip of the muggy pond water. However, the BZD wasn't even there anymore. Why was it so cold then? Maybe it's just October weather, he thought, curling up under the protective and slightly cozy hair of an old willow.
A wave of sudden uneasiness hit him, like he was being watched by someone. He didn't like this place one bit.

it has been sometime since whisper had returned to the forest again, weeks, maybe even months. the weather change, and seer amount of strangers was the most noticeable change, one that would take a toll on his mindset. he was somewhat out of it, more nervous than usual, worrying too much, and thinking about things that didn't matter. but that was him, a small ball of nerves.
his steps were almost silent as he passed through the forest, eyes carefully studying his surroundings with caution, audits perked. his pace slowed, and then stopped, ears swiveling as he heard and then saw a large beast up ahead of him. it was a horse, as it seemed, one he perhaps had seen, but never spoken with. he was frozen in worrys again, would it charge at the sight, smell, or sound of him. or would it simply ignore him. there was no way for him predict the future, a power he wished he had.
the horse was laying down, so it most likely wouldn't charge, whisper stepped forward once more, his petite hoof snapping a twig in half.
he froze again. crap, now he'd done it, he was going to get trample by this horse.

With a sigh, Stormchaser

With a sigh, Stormchaser lowered his head onto the hardened mud. His eyes began to droop, yet he let his ears pick up every sound in earshot. Out of the blue, he heard a twig snap. That woke him up completely, instantly getting to his feet, looking around frantically. He couldn't see a thing in the thickening fog; Must have been a bird...? Stormchaser guessed, but he was quickly put off by a line of black standing out in white, met with a mask and eventually a white body. It was small, though, and he didn't think it could actually harm him. Staring at him with round eyes that only illuminated his figure more in the mist, he chuffed and laid down again. If anything, the figure was more than welcome to approach; he needed to talk to someone, to do something.
However, he still had that air of uneasiness, and he thought he'd probably just stay silent like he cannot talk, and if he did it was rumbling yet quiet, almost feral. This tone made him feel like he had authority, which made him comfortable. Turning his head to the side, he snorted and laid his head down again, but not to rest this time.

his breath grew short and

his breath grew short and tight as the equine stood up at the snap of the twig. his crystal blue eyes burning the image of the horse standing and staring right at him. it felt as if he couldn't breath at all after a moment of tension and silence. the horse sat back down, like he hadn't even seen him. he let out the air he'd held in unintentionally, cocking his masked face to the side. he had to have seen him, it wasn't that misty out, and he was quite close to the beast. perhaps it didn't care, or it was even testing the small deer to come closer, to either devour, or interact with. he didn't know, this again would be a great time to know what would happen before he did it.
as usual, his intense curiosity out weighed the flaming fear that he held behind his eyes, clenching his jaw as approached the horse. maybe it was trying to sleep, even. he pushed on, trying to move past the fear when he could have sworn he heard a low, almost undetectable sound from it. he froze again. what was it, was it a warning sound, or just a low noise that came from his throat on accident. he knew that he couldn't keep assuming things like this. he clenched his jaw, lowering his face and clearing his throat.
"...e-excuse me.." he whispered, his voice harsh from disuse, and quivering from worry, but still understandable.

The stallion didn't budge to

The stallion didn't budge to the other's curious-filled movements, and he only shifted his head once or twice to the side. His eyes were still fixed on the other's figure, and he slightly minded the fact that he was laying down to the point where he couldn't get up as quickly as he could if it did prove to be a threat.
Stormchaser automatically removed his head from the ground when it spoke, or when he spoke as it sounded more masculine. He studied the other's frame, now that he was more up close. He only stared back in response before snorting again, quickly turning his head away.

still the horse didn't really

still the horse didn't really make a big deal of his presents. was he invisible or did the beast just not care? he probably just didn't care, maybe he should leave him alone. the stallion didn't seem like the talkative type anyways. he did react to him though, by slightly moving, he atleast knew there was something by him, that was good he guessed. the buck took one step again, towards him, again cleaning his throat,
"..do you..k-know why there's so many... things here today?, he finished his question regardless, it couldn't hurt. he'd figured the thing was harmless now, it wouldn't waste it's time on a small insignificant thing like whisper. all he really had to do was yell, and he'd haul ass until he tripped over his own feet and fell.

/ boop, shorter posts because lazy

The stallion spotted another

The stallion spotted another individual in the fog, although this one seemed to be slightly larger and more... wolf-like? If it was indeed a wolf and it did do harm to him, he'd make sure it'd never see light again. He tilted his head and snorted in it's direction as it made loud noises, perhaps trying to make itself seem it's not a threat by grazing? He made a low chuff again, turning his head back to the other.
Eventually, he brought himself to speak to the other's question after a few moments of silence had passed. "Because it is Halloween. There is a big zombie running around with his followers," he said, low and gravelly. His voice, too, was misused, for he hadn't spoken to another in a span of a few weeks. He didn't speak more after that, only a slight nicker as his head rested upon the ground once more. He shivered stubbornly in the cold, no matter how tough he was trying to look.

Mitsuki didn't sink into a

Mitsuki didn't sink into a depression anymore when he left her. Well, she actually did, but it was so different now. She put up a front. Acted like everything was okay, and really it felt like she was just going through the motions--not living. It hurt...it hurt so much when he was gone, and her heart never got used to the regular shattering whenever his scent would fade from the Oak. Her children didn't come around as much anymore, Acaji she hasn't seen in ages and Mitsuki still worries about him though in her heart she knows that something greater has happened to him than merely disappearing. It was just as if her heart couldn't take any more hurt so she physically couldn't let her worries about her son surface or it might just break her.

The familiar scent floated in on the cool, moist breeze, and she practically had a heart attack. It was like a shot of endorphins straight into her system, but there was pain, too. The slim doe—slimmer than usual as she had lost weight due to stress—shivered and took a small step forward. "Storm-Stormchaser?" Eyes were closed tight, as though she were afraid to look. Was it really him, or was it her mind playing cruel tricks on her?
