The new life was so fresh, young- scared. Bodies and ears trembled from the shock of light and noise, which until then had been but muffled words and noises. Their legs would try to lift their tiny bodies, but for now they only fell.
The doe watched from sheltered lids, breathing out as the two joys moved and processed. She only nudged and drew them closer, licking away the remains of their birth. Their father watched with wild eyes, his love manifested in tense protective stances, guarding them with all his being.
Thank you for reading. We decided not to make the date public because of last time's turnout, which was wonderful but very crowded. We ask that during the children's birth and adjustment, a distance is to be kept and no fawns harmed. Thank you. ♥
