Ebony - Dag dipped his head in greeting, his brow slightly furrowed in concern for how she limped. Lilith's question took him by surprise, though he didn't know why.
"Nothing."
He replied, as sure as anything.
"I may have some regrets... Hindsight can be cruel, but tomorrow comes and one has no choice in the matter. Every choice I made, both good and bad ones, lead me to where I am now. If life in the present was worth suffering for in the past, then I could not ask for it to be changed."
Poppy - He looked down and matched her with a playful smirk, "No, no nests! ... At least... I don't think there are." His eyes darted about in jest, "trying" to look up and behind him at his antlers, "I hope someone would tell me if that did happen!"
RAY-RAAAY - Ooo a question for me! Good call, I think I might add that as an option too.
Human Dag... partially exists. I mainly tried to create a human version of him because it was a popular thing to do at the time? People having tumblr blogs for their characters etc, I thought it would be interesting. Dag as he is, was created purely for the forest/the game, so the human version of Dag retained his personality but story wise, I couldn't think of a good spin on it so made up something completely different. I got as far as his name (Dag Nyland), that he was a handsome son-of-a-gun (naturally) based on this guy, and that maybe he worked as some type of blacksmith or fire fighter... something outdoors-ey and MANLY to warrant still having his scar, haha. But I couldn't really pin down any more in the end - I found it hard to "transform" him into something human when he wasn't ever meant to be. I did keep a tumblr for anything that could count as inspiration for him whether it be clothing, body shape, etc. I haven't decided to delete it just yet.

I think I'd make a handsome tree, hn-hm. Those who have never seen me before do find my antlers a bit of a shock if they come upon me unexpectedly. It can be funny sometimes, watching them decide whether to stay or run in that instance. din - After a lot of thinking, I can't pin-point any one memory as being my top favourite. It's fun just looking back through my very first screencaps, it's a nostalgic happy feeling like looking through an old holiday photo album or something. Seeing characters that have since disappeared, remembering epic dancelines etc... there's lot of things. But one memory stands out, and it is actually before Dag as a character even existed. On my very first day in the forest it was twilight, with mushrooms everywhere. I was playing the game with my best friend at the time, and we could not figure out how the hell people could be flying and sitting on mushrooms. It was so much fun running around as fawns bleating at people. I will never forget it because it was before I had any knowledge about how people played the game. Before I knew people roleplayed and created actual characters and before I knew the forest's unwritten social rules. The game felt very free-ing.
As for Dag...
"The more I think about my life, the older I feel - I could tell stories about all the fond memories I have, but there are just so many and I'm sure there are more I have yet to recognize (and hopefully more to make). Everyone I've had the pleasure of meeting and knowing is worth mentioning. If I could encompass all of them in words... I am fortunate to have been in the presence of many fine creatures who could uplift me, and give me rest from myself. They gave me focus and a source of happiness, even in ways that exist only in memory and perhaps not noticed at the time. We are all stories, and it is enough for me to be happy knowing I was a part of theirs as they were a part of mine."

and i know i asked you, but i think one of my most prominent memories is of before i ever downloaded the game, i dont remember how but i came across a video of velocity on youtube, and i was fascinated. i recorded his moo with my nintendo 3ds and played it over and over because it gave me the chills. then i found the moos other masks made and i recorded them too, just to listen and be enthralled. then i finally found tefc and made me dumb lil cliche noob posts, finally downloaded the game and now boom here i am. its very fun to think about c:

"I did consider a sense of hearing being my answer at first - a lot of things would be devastating to no longer hear - but thought better of it. Although you can't see them, my ears are very small... Generally, smaller deer than I rely on sound more than sight for safety. Now, I can't pick up long-distant sounds as well as other deer are able to, simply because I'm large enough and have the necessary battle equipment so as not to need to watch my back so diligently. If I had no antlers, I'm sure my ears would be HUGE*. Hm-hm, anyway...
I rely on my eyes the most just to navigate the forest without colliding with trees on a normal day-to-day basis! If I lost my sight, well... I imagine it would make moving through the forest extremely difficult for someone of my size."
