Hi hi! Dang, I can't believe I'm in college now. I've been on-and-off this site and the TEF game since middle school. Time flies by way too fast and I...well, I still feel like a kid XD just not as cringy a kid as I was in the past. Still super socially awkward though.

I'm super sorry for my on-and-off poofing for those of you I talked to (if you guys are still here). I have definitely gone through unpredictable phases of longing to be active on here and getting distracted by life and other areas of the interwebs.

While I'm getting urges to slink back into here every once and a while (and am up at 3 AM for some reason)--

Hello whoever's reading this! How has your 2018 been so far? Smiling

Hey, nice to see you around!

Hey, nice to see you around! ?? How’s college?

My 2018 has been pretty good! I have a full-time job, a suuuper supportive boyfriend, and I’m getting my first HRT shot in two days. I’ve never really felt my life fall into place so easily and it has me feeling pretty blessed.

made by foxofthestars!

Well hey! Nice to hear from

Well hey! Nice to hear from you again, hope college is going well so far! Make sure you don't have a lot of 3am nights if you can help it. Believe me, I've been there, done that!
2018 is shaping up to be a year of change for me, but unfortunately so far it's been stressful. I've been waiting since December to get a start date at my job but once I'm working there and not doing this stressful and frustrating temp job, things should be a lot less stressful!

@Wendingo} Ohmygosh! I'm so

@Wendingo} Ohmygosh! I'm so happy for you dude! I hope the blessings keep on coming. Nice to see you around as well, by the way and college is going pretty well so far. I'm in the Photography program at my tech college and still trying to discover myself there haha

@FishBiscuit} Hoi Biscuit! It's really nice to see you again too. College is going pretty well I think lol I am definitely working on sleeping earlier. Insomnia has always been a pain in my rear but I've also been forgetting to take the Melatonin supplements my mom got so that maayyy be contributing to my problem as of late X'D

Ohhh I hope the stressful stuff on your end settles down soon, though! Hope the time between the stress and the calming is quick for you too

Congrats on college, Flora!

Congrats on college, Flora! Is this you first semester, or did you start last fall? Doing Generals?

Last year was a tough one for me. By the end of it, most things had been resolved, and this year I'm relearning where my boundaries are. 2018 is off to an optimistic start, since I'll find out in Feb. if I got accepted into the college program I'm after and I did pretty well last semester! I'm slowly trying new things and I feel a little more confident about myself, so this year will definitely be at least a little different than previous years!
Woo, college \o/

@WonderfullySarcastic} Thanks

@WonderfullySarcastic} Thanks so much! This is actually my fourth semester overall (I think? I am bad at mathing lol) but it's my second semester actually settled in a program if that makes sense XD I also just still can't believe I'm a college student despite this being my second year in college. I focused on my general classes last year and this year I'm focusing entirely on my program classes until I have enough room in my schedule to add my math classes (which I need to take 2 at once for reasons DX). Nothing major yet though, just a tech college close to home. Still living with my mom and siblings though I miss living in a house ishfisdhs One good thing that did come out of last year is I finally overcame my social anxiety enough to order a pizza without having an anxiety attack! X'D

Sorry for rambling but wow, sounds like things are looking up on your end and that makes me very glad! Last year was pretty rough for me as well, especially towards the end, but things are settling down now and I'm more determined than I have been in a long time to try new things!

Best of luck to you! <3

Hey there! Welcome back

Hey there! Welcome back :>
It's good to see you around again.

Thank you, Tuo and Kohva!

Thank you so much, niriya!

Thank you so much, niriya! Your warm welcome means a lot to me ;w;

It's good to see you again too!

Oh good! So you've gotten

Oh good! So you've gotten into the swing of things as far as college goes! And in your program! All good things! Tech colleges still count! Curious why you'd subject yourself to two different math classes at the same time?
I'm right there with you with living at home with a parent. I haven't yet ventured off on my own, but I'm longing to as soon as I securely can.

Things are looking up, mostly because thins were considerably more down than before. But, everything has an end, and hopefully that was the end of whatever bad luck/happenings I had going on last year!

I am so right with you. On a lot of fronts. Cheers to trying new things and getting past personal difficulties!

@WonderfullySarcastic}

@WonderfullySarcastic} Hahaha yes yes and yes! XD Oh gosh I wish to the heavens I didn't have to take two math classes at once, especially since math is my worst subject ever in the world. It's a looong story but I'll try to make it brief!

There was this support class I took last summer and apparently if I failed it, I'd have to take College Algebra AND another Support class at the same time. This summer class was dumb in that even if you did all of your homework and got 100%'s on all of them, you had to get an 83% or above on every single practice math test just to be able to attempt the actual math test you were graded on. Naturally, I'd always either get high 70's or right below 83% on like every practice test attempt so I'd have to move on so I didn't get behind the class. I got all 100%'s on all the homework assignments and all the homework quizzes, yet it all ended up being for nothing iosahfoiahisa

In the end, I couldn't get an 83% on the majority of the practice tests (which, the grades didn't count btw), which means I couldn't take all of the real tests. Therefore, I couldn't take the final so failed the class. Oh btw, even if a student passed all their homework, got 83% on all the practice tests and passed the actual tests, they'd still have to take the College Algebra/Support class combo if they couldn't get a specific grade on the final practice test and the final. If they couldn't get an 83% or above on the practice final, they couldn't take the final.

The biggest slap in the face of all though...is how right when the class ended, the college eliminated the class due to how so many students failed and yet those of us who failed still have to do the College Algebra/Support class combo for a semester

So yeah...that's the story of the maths. I'm sorry I couldn't keep it as brief as I wanted to DX

Awwww it's really comforting to know you're on a similar boat as me! Although on my end, I am terrified of the world XD I've always been extremely sheltered and my social anxiety was always really severe. I couldn't even order myself pizza until just last year! Or go to my college bookstore without my mom near me at all times XD Luckily I can do those things now on my own lol Here's to hoping I toughen up my courage in these coming times ioshfisasofhs

Hoo boy. That is a ride and a

Hoo boy. That is a ride and a half. I would absolutely talk with 1) your advisor 2) the person who is in charge of the Math department.

Like. No joke. Sit down with your mom and brainstorm what you want to ask, what they could respond, and then counter-questions. Write it all down with enough space between to write their answers when you go. Shoot, explain that you have major anxiety and don't understand your situation and then HAND them your notebook and sit quietly while they look it over. Maybe even take a space notebook so you can write in that while they hold the one with your questions. Straight up put your entire conversation in writing and hand it to them.

That is crap, in my opinion, that you're stuck with the two classes that next year's students won't have to suffer through because of this first class that's been cancelled.
I'm not saying that you'll get out of it. But it will make your life a whole lot easier if you can finagle your way out of at least one of the classes.

------

As for your social anxiety affecting you otherwise, don't push yourself too hard or too fast. You'll scare yourself and then it'll probably be more difficult to try. Baby steps, yo. And thinking about doing the thing counts as a step. Actually considering doing the thing counts as a step.

Take your time, let yourself get used to ideas first, write down conversation scripts and look at them while you talk on the phone. Stuff like that. It helps a lot in college to just not think about who people are and what they think, just vaguely look in the direction (or shyly wave!) of someone and then look at yo feet and talk after they know they need them for something <3 That's what I did!

Aaaaa dude, thank you so so

Aaaaa dude, thank you so so sooo much for the advice. I'll definitely be meditating on that ;w; it means a lot. I never really thought of doing that XD Thank you!

Again, it's so super comforting to talk with someone who's had a similar ride as me ;w; thank you again for the advice tho for real saihfsaohfi

I disappeared for like,

I disappeared for like, months, and in the meantime I graduated college and got myself a job. So things are going all right, even if finding TEF inspiration has been slow going. :x Best of luck with your studies! It gets tough but I have faith in you.

Good to see you around again!

Good to see you around again! Congrats on starting college - I've got 2 more years of it before I'm done. 2018's been...ok, but stressful. Classes getting harder and that stuff. I have 3 chickens now! The two new kids are adorable - and they've gotten along with our original chicken very well.
Oh, I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.

@ WhenDeerAttack } Well,

@ WhenDeerAttack } Well, welcome back to you! Congratulations on your achievements as well! I can tell a lot happened in the time you were away XD Good luck to finding the inspiration you want and thank you so much! Your faith really means a lot ;w;

@ RosenQuarz } AAAA OMG It's been YEARS! I'm so happy your year has gone well so far. I'm so so happy to see you dude! How has life been? :'D

It REALLY has! I think we last spoke like.. four year ago? That's crazy. I've missed you and this place so much. We really need to catch up lol! My life is going great, I'm currently studying to become a game concept artist and also moved out and got engaged too <3 How are you dear? ;w;

It's mostly been the flu

It's mostly been the flu that's been going around - mom got it, grandpa got it, brother got it and I ended up getting it. Once that's over things'll be a bit better. Yeah new feather kids! Click for chicken videos, of Peeps as well as the 2 new childrens.
Oh, I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.

@RosenQuarz } That is crazy

@RosenQuarz } That is crazy indeed! Oh wow that is a lot to happen in that time. I can tell a lot of life changing has happened on your end! Best of luck with all of those things ^^ I've been going to college and working from home, helping my mom pay for stuff and clean and I miss living in a house X'D

@ Ebony3 } Awwwww D: That sucks so bad. I got the flu earlier this year. Luckily lots of lemon water and an essential oil diffuser made my symptoms less severe and last for a shorter time (the annoying stuff only lasted 3 days, unlike other times where it had lasted an entire week lol)

I hope your immune system kicks out that flu asap!

HNGH The bok bok babieeesss they're so precious I can't X'D
