Skokey awoke, in the same place, in the same spot, in the same position. And in the same mood. He found that he was getting angerier every day. One reason, he couldn't move, which made him stir-crazy. Another, was that a lot of deer kept visiting him when he was trying to sleep. Another, Fenqua wouldn't stop asking if he was okay. These were all very minor. But there was one major thing that really made him mad.
Fulu had been going out by herself lately. She had known almost all of Skokey's friends and thought it would be fun to play with them while he was resting. But, one of them seemed to mean more than just a friend, and that was Darcy.
Skokey knew Darcy for a long time, but Fulu had only met him for a few days. But in those few days, they realized that they had feelings for each other. At first, Skokey was glad to hear that his sister had found love. But soon, an old friend came back, a friend that he hadn't seen in ages.
Skokey knew all too well that Wyvern would be arriving soon from her travels. He often wondered where she even went while she was gone. When she came back, he was grateful to get a personal visit from her, but soon he found out that she liked Darcy as well. And Darcy had liked her long before Fulu ever thought of going out on her own.
He became angry at Darcy, for forgetting about Wyvern, and also for falling for Fulu when she was so close to returning. The three of them realized what was going on, and then... Skokey's heart was torn in two.
Days went by while this whole thing was going on. Fulu always came back to the Old Oak with that same look in her eyes. She never said anything to him, more than a few words. He could tell she didn't want to talk about it. But one day, she came back in tears. She told Skokey that she yelled at Darcy, and she felt terrible.
Skokey burned inside. This situation was turning everyone to darkness. He seemed to snap at everyone, and refused to talk. This only made things worse, since Fenqua started to worry about him. She didn't quite know what was going on at the time, but Skokey never felt like telling about it.
Pretty soon, Skokey was well enough to start walking around again. Not too much. He made a visit to Darcy, to say what he wanted to say to him. Darcy knew he was angry, though. He backed away from Skokey, and soon ran. This only made him more angry, but he soon let it go. This wasn't his problem, Fulu was old enough to figure this out on her own. He decided to take his time and beat down one of the smaller birches.
Fulu even managed to change her look. She switched to the Crying mask, Striped pelt, and Secretary Bird antlers. She was well aware that Skokey had a set of his own for when he was depressed. Skokey could hear her sorroful calls from the Playground, making a lump grow in his throat.
But soon enough... Everything seemed to be working out again. He visited Darcy again, who was afraid at first, but he told him that he wasn't angry anymore. And they all had a good time. Skokey, Darcy, Kumiko... And Wyvern. He didn't quite know what to make of it, but he felt things become normal again. It made him feel much better now that the irritating things were going away.

Skokey decided to take a walk through the Birch forest. He limped slowly forward, admiring the white trees and tall grasses. He watched as dozens of small birds flitted by, making him smile. It reminded him of Fulu. He knew Fulu was recently staying back at the slab at the Playground, deciding that she was old enough to sleep on her own. He knew she much preferred sleeping next to him, but these times were different.
Skokey slowly made his way to the Playground, and found Fulu standing on a rock with... Wait, who's that? He thought. No stag I've ever seen...
He remembered what his father had told him about the set the stag was wearing.
"Hey, Dad, which one is that?"
"Heh, that's the Space Helm mask."
"Space.. Helm? What on earth is that?"
"Well, that's just it, Skokey, it's not on earth. You see, there is something beyond here. Something in between the afterlife and the earth. It's called Space. Space is wear the sun, moon, and stars reside, high above the earth. It's speculated that creatures have already gone into Space, and seen it with their own eyes."
"Wooow... Will we ever see it, do you think?"
Siki chuckled, "Oh... We may never know. But the Twin Gods have given us a little taste of Space. The Space Helm, along with that blue and white pelt, and the short black antlers, are all interpretations of Space. Not only that, but it's also thought to represent a sea creature called the Beluga."
Skokey laughed, "Beluga? What kind of animal is that?"
"Oh, who knows? The Twin Gods certainly have strange tastes though. Either way, Space or Beluga, it is quite the different set."
Skokey found himself smirking at the fond memory. He hadn't thought of his father in a long time. There were too many things going on all at once. He soon snapped himself back to reality and approached the two.
He saw Fulu and the stag acting... Oh dear... Skokey sighed. Well, I'll have to straighten things out with him first, he thought. He didn't know who this was, but he looked familiar. He made a mental note to ask about him later.
Skokey carefully climbed the rock and walked over to the two. "Fulu... Can me and him talk for a moment?" Fulu backed away far enough for Skokey to feel comfortable.
"Look... I don't mean to sound rude or anything... But can you give Fulu some space? Her hearts just been broken, I don't want her to rush into anything. Just..." he gathered his thoughts, "Just take your time, okay? Don't do anything too quickly."
"Of course..." the stag nodded, and averted his eyes, "I didn't mean to be... Well, if you want me to leave, I can leave..."
Skokey lowered his head to reach eye level with the stag, "It's okay, I didn't tell you to leave. Just don't do anything sudden, okay? You can still see her if you want." He smiled warmly, "I'm just trying to be a good big brother is all."
The stag looked at him and smiled. Skokey found himself being shoved out of the way by Fulu, who apologized. "Hey, Fulu, I've got a bum leg..."
"I think you'll be fine." She blurted. She winked at him and went back to talking to the stag.
Skokey rolled his eyes and smiled, making his way back to the Oak.

Skokey found Fenqua laying next to Vessel, having a one-sided conversation. Vessel seemed bored out of his mind, which made Skokey almost laugh, but he struggled to keep it in. Fenqua got up and nuzzled him, making him blush again, for the hundredth time this week.
"Where have you been all day?" Fenqua asked, telling him to lay down.
"Ahh, just strolling." He sat down and yawned, and looked at Fenqua. He smiled as he suddenly remembered how pretty she was to him. It had been a while since he thought about it, since his journey into human territory. And all the time it took for his bullet wounds to heal up, he hadn't been paying much attention to anything. He looked at her gleaming Orca mask, and the poppies decorating her blue antlers, and the intricate stripes and speckles adorning her pelt. She was very pretty, but something seemed to turn his mind to another direction.
His antlers used to bear poppies like hers. Now they were bare, but that wasn't what bothered him. He started to ask, "Hey, Fen... I've been thinking..."
Fenqua looked at him expectantly, "Yeah?"
"I... I kinda feel guilty. About beating those humans. I'm not saying I want to apologize, I'm just saying that... Well, I've never spilled blood before. It makes me feel bad..."
Fenqua nodded, "I see..."
"And well... I was wondering if you could help me decide on a new pair of antlers."
She seemed to pout, "Awww, but I liked your poppies."
Skokey sighed, "Yes, but poppies aren't that pretty when their petals are spread over blood. I won't pick anything to ridiculous." He smiled and chuckled lightly, "Just some nice ones. But I can't seem to decide."
Fenqua looked up slightly in thought, and Skokey did the same. He finally blurted, "What about Kirin antlers?"
She stared at him for a minute. "... No."
He smiled and sighed, "Okay." He thought again, then smiled really wide, "What about those-"
"Not. Those." She looked at him sternly for a minute, then giggled.
"I'm kidding." He thought of how silly he would look in those strange golden antlers. How they stood straight up and then curved downward, only to curve upwards again at the tip. They looked so goofy. He thought again.
Fenqua spoke up, "I think the Key antlers would look nice."
Skokey looked at her, considering the idea. He nodded, "Yeah... I like those." He looked at each other, and smiled at the same time. "I guess that's the one."
Soon enough, the next day, he was granted his new Key antlers by some friends. It took him a little while to get used to the odd balance, but he liked how they looked. Now he didn't have to think about what he did with his old antlers.
