"Give her back! Give her back!!!"

Over and over the bellow was deafening and full of rage. Loud snapping and cracking as hoof stamped and kicked at anything within rang. Trees, logs, stones. Large bowl like antlers swiping at low branches and leaves. The crazed stag even slammed his heavy bulk into a young, small tree repeatedly until it toppled to it’s side. He was throwing one mighty tantrum leaving the small area he decided to throw it in torn. A large circle of kicked up grass and plants was nothing but a sandpit now. Broken tree branches and tattered leaves were scattered about.

"Give her back!"

The red bull himself was rather ragged looking himself. The first and foremost that probably was noticeable was the lack of the skull he usually wore over his face. His dark eyes were wide with a mix of anger and panic. His red fur was shaggy, ruffled. Small cuts and scratches littered his body from his crazed running about. To put it mildly Gustiro was not happy.

"I'll fight! I'll fight!!!"

His cries seemed only to get louder and more demanding. His sides heaving with his fruitless demands.

Brooklyn lowered her ears at the violent sounds she heard. She stayed quiet as she observed the red stag from a tree she stood in. She couldn't understand what was happening, her imagination going wild with ideas. She slowly climbed down, not afraid of the stag but willing to listen to what was happening. "Gustiro..." she whispered, approaching the angered stag.

Illrose had been standing on

Illrose had been standing on a safe distance for a while now, just looking at the red, angry stag. It was quite a amusing sight, she had never thought Gustiro ever would lose his head
like this. He had always seemed like one who could control himself, even when he was fighting. And of course, Illrose had also noticed the cause of Gustiro's anger, as his face was naked
and skull less. It wasn't long ago she herself had lost her own skull mask, so she could relate to his despair...still, she hadn't freaked out like this. When he finally calmed down, she
stepped forward, into his sight. She was in her adult form now, her old name glowed above her head, so she wasn't afraid of approaching. Not that she believed he would have attacked
her if she was a fawn, she had noticed he wasn't the kind that attacked fawns.
"What's the matter, Gustiro? Lost something?" She asked in a taunting voice, while a false, innocent smile curled her lips behind her own skull mask. Her eyes was on Gustiro only, as if
she didn't see the other doe that had approached the red stag.

The first response from the

The first response from the large stag at hearing Brooklyn’s voice was a violent turn of his head. Not going after the doe but merely turning to look at her with wild eyes. Her familiar form quickly repelled his anger, perhaps even calmed him though it was so minimum that it would not have been a noticeable difference. Instead of doing her any harm he turned his back to her to swipe his antlers at some tree that's trunk had already been scraped clean of it's bark.

“They took her!”

He would have continued to assault the tree if it was not for the new voice. The taunting tone made the furious stag to turn on Illrose with exceptional swiftness. His dark eyes growing ever wider as they lock onto the draconic deer. "You," came in a low, dark, drawn out tone. "You took her?! YOU?!!!” His voice rose as he continued. He seemed so ready to put the blame on his long standing enemy. Something, someone to takeout more of his frustration.

Without another word or another look at the poor Brooklyn Gustiro was charging at Illrose. His antlers lowered, his muscles powering full speed at the draconic doe with a new, very deadly purpose. Even with their many fights and dangerous games of chase he never seemed so intent on harming the antlered doe then he was at that moment.

Brooklyn understood in a

Brooklyn understood in a snap, his mask was gone. She cared so much about the stag, so she felt sorrow for him. She looked at Illrose curiously, sniffing her from afar. "Gustiro, be careful, I would hate to see you hurt," she said in her feminine voice. She stood proudly as she watched Gustiro attack the doe, but yet she would always stand by his side. She didn't want enemies, but if necessary...it would have to do.

The Witch watched from among the trees and cackled in It goes to show, she thought with a smile how phony he is -- that he can't even stand something fun, like a new face. She giggled like a schoolgirl. The little doe, dressed in dark, sleek fur that caught the light and shimmered, pranced in place and bit her lip; he'd hurt her, the big bully, if she showed up. But the desire to take credit for this glorious curse of hers was getting harder and harder to fight. She twitched her head to adjust her tall witch's hat, adorned with beautiful magpie feathers, and stepped into the light.

"Hello there, mister not-so-skullface! Remember me, the beautiful and powerful Forest Witch? Of course you do." She tossed her head, whipping the long black veil that attached to her hat about like hair. This Witch, with her bright, childlike smile clearly didn't care for the physical drama of Gustiro's charge, and was more than happy to interrupt. She pranced again, her body bobbing with the energetic steps of her dainty hooves. "I see you noticed my workmanship -- Tah-daaa! Isn't it marvelous! The perfect curse! aheeheeeheeeheee!"

Nacadia looked on in terror

Nacadia looked on in terror as the stag lowered his antlers, and charged furiously at Illrose. Something was different about him, very very different. Nacadia didn't pay much attention to the missing skull, she was much to scared. The petite doe mustered up all her courage and ran as fast as she could toward the two deer, her thoughts racing, she didn't know how to stop him. Her ears were flat against her neck, as much as she didn't like Illrose, she didn't like seeing blood even more. She ran with more force than thought possible, just missing tripping over sticks and stones. With a sliding halt, Nacadia looked the angered stag dead in the eye and let out a very sharp high pitch scream, not unlike the sound of a hawk screaming. She stood for only a few moments before her body began changing, her face became hawk-like, her fur changed to feathers, her tail grew long and colorful, her eyes became solid black, hardly visible next to her darkened grey pelt. Wings, grew from her back and folded along her body, she was no longer a deer, but a demon. She stared down Gustiro, fear no longer in her body, just rage.

Illrose glanced quickly at

Illrose glanced quickly at the doe, but didn't have much interest in her. Her eyes snapped back at Gustiro when he talked to her, and her smile grew a bit wider.
"Does it look like I did?" She replied in a cold voice, before the smile all of a sudden disappeared when Gustiro charged at her. She had never seen this rage before,
and for the first time, she actually feared she would get very badly injured in a fight with Gustiro. But she didn't turn around and run, she tighten her muscles and lowered
her own antlers to meet the force that was coming. And while she waited for the impact, she could see another doe approach in the corner of her eye. And the doe's words
made it easy to understand who had taken Gustiro's skull mask. But she didn't pay much attention to this doe either, cause Gustiro came closer at full speed, and in any
seconds now they antlers would clash into each other. But then something happened again, a feathered creature approached, with a scream that cut like knives in Illrose's ears.
She snarled in irritation, and reared up, as to chase away the horrible sound and the creature that made it.

Brooklyn watched Nacadia. She

Brooklyn watched Nacadia. She approached the doe, taking a liking to her. She stood by the doe facing Illrose. A growl escaped her mouth as she directed it at Illrose. She gazed at Gustiro, she was always there for him. "You, why do you bother to be here" she hissed at Illrose. She glanced at Nacadia, hoping the little doe would join her side. She looked at The Forest Witch and growled. She did this to him.

Kheiron had stood by a

Kheiron had stood by a distance, watching what happened as Gustiro made a fool of himself again. When Illrose had approached him, Kheiron couldn't help but scream inside his head that she should stay clear of him. Gustiro was obviously in no control of himself.
But seeing how Illrose did not take the bull serious at all actually bothered Kheiron a bit. He himself had grown a certain respect for this weird deer, and Kheiron's principles was that everyone should be treated with some kind of respect. As strange as it may sounds, Kheiron felt a bit sorry for Gustiro.
When the bull was charging full speed towards Illrose, Kheiron had wanted to interrupt, but Nacadia was faster and he laid still - watching what happened next.
Kheiron wasn't brave enough to interfere. Not yet.

Everything seemed to happen

Everything seemed to happen so fast. New voices, new arrivals. Gustiro however had a one track mind and he was after Illrose continuing his deadly charge. That is until the petite doe Nacadia pulled up between them and began her transformation. As mad as he was Gustiro recognized the little doe and he dug his hooves into the dirt to skid to a stumbling stop not wanting to trample her fragile form. Soon his rage was accompanied by sheer confusion. Nacadia’s transformed body, Illrose’s attack on Nacadia, Brooklyn jumping between them to defend Nacadia. And the cackling Witch not too far off the sidelines. The red stag was actually confused enough to pause to consider the situation, hesitating, though beneath his still form was the continuous smoldering anger of what was stolen from him.

((Heh, Gustiro is not the only one unsure what to do next. I think I will let you all do the next move so I know what to do with Gustiro.))

((oh yay, i typed up a little

((oh yay, i typed up a little something while I was waiting for you to post. It's at least a little something to help things move along.))

Nacadia turned her long, now feathery, neck to look at Brooklyn. She was fighting the urge to destroy all three of them right then and there. Her demon wanted them all dead, gone from this planet, but she didn't. She was fighting herself immensely and was hardly winning, she closed her eyes tightly, to the point she was shaking. She couldn't take it anymore, the desructive force was killing her, just one tree, she only needed to crush one tree. She let out another long, sharp, high pitched call, this one filled with rage and fury. She jumped over Gustiro's head, with rather amazing force, and hit a tree full force, sending it crashing to the ground. She landed right back in her spot and continued to stare at Gustiro. She began to send mental waves to Gustiro with a very tense but somehow still calm and beautiful voice, "Gustiro, Gussie. Please, just please calm down. I will never, ever forgive you if you kill her. I don't favor her either but you cannot kill her. You don't even know if she really took your mask. Please, Gustiro. Go" The doe paused for a moment, she slowly shook her head while continuing. go before I end up killing you all." The doe stood, holding her ground firmly, refusing to let the enraged stag reach Illrose. She was completely tense in the situation, her demon was festering, if she stayed in this aura flooded area much longer her demon would begin to grow and eventually take her entire body, mind and soul over. She had to leave, but she couldn't, or there would be bloodshed.

(( Nacadia's demon is very, VERY aggressive and very hard to get rid of, it could be days before she is back to normal. Normally, if it were someone she didn't care about, she would kill them right then and there. That would make for an interesting RP. But, when in-game, it is best to leave her alone. When you see her with her normal pelt back on it is okay to greet her, though if her mask is still different she may not respond.))

Brooklyn could feel the

Brooklyn could feel the demon's soul, the pure aggresion that lay within. But she was far from afraid of any of them. She slithered her snake-like tongue out, curiously. She hissed at Illrose, pure white fangs acompanied by crocodle-like teeth displayed. She glanced once again at Nacadia, knowing well that she too could be dangerous. She backed up soon by Gustiro's side. Brooklyn did not want any enemies, but that did not mean she couldn't fight for hereself.

Snowsauria's picture

When Nacadia stopped

When Nacadia stopped Gustiro's attack, Illrose stomped in the ground to show her irritation. She hated it when others interrupted her fights. She lifted
her head again and stared at the other doe, Brooklyn, with a fierce glance.
"Why do you bother?" She snarled in reply. She had seen this doe in Gustiro's company a lot, so it was obvious they were friends or something. And in a time
like this, didn't the enemy have the same right to be here as the friend? She soon lost interest in Brooklyn, because Nacadia again gave a sharp scream. Illrose
reared again, her hooves beating through the air. But she then backed away, away from Gustiro, and away from the creature that was Nacadia.

Brooklyn stared at Illrose

Brooklyn stared at Illrose fiercely, if a fight between them waas to happen, then so be it. "Why? Because I care about Gustiro," she hissed. "All you do is make a fuss," she growled, quickly jumping in front of Gustiro. Her silver blue eyes met thos of Illrose. Her tail moved around in circles, as she firmly stood without fear. She silently pulled out her claws, emerging from her hooves in seconds, just in case anything were to happen.

The Witch watched the fight

The Witch watched the fight go on: the stag puzzled and the does monstrous and threatening and almost fighting among one another. Her hooves stamped the ground.

"Hey! Stop having your silly demon-monster fights! Important people are gloating over here!"

She reared up, finding herself a handy spell to cast. She had a bunch of magics prepared for her little wanders though this forest, in case she came across someone who really needed to be cursed. It'd be wrong to not use it here. The magic swirled around her, focusing itself on Nacadia. It was shape-shifting magic, her favorite type, sent to turn the doe into her favorite creature, a harmless little froggy. The magic danced though her blood like motes in sunlight, like fish moving fluidly through a fast-moving stream. It wrapped around its chosen victim in a ball of light.

"There! That's much better! Isn't it marvelous? aheeheheeheehee!"

((It just occured to me how hilariously out of place The Witch is in this soap opera of near-violence and characters who are very competent.))

Nacadia turned quickly to

Nacadia turned quickly to face the new doe, this time a light chirp of anger as a ball of light began to absorb her body, she began to tingle, and her leg twitched once, but nothing more happened. The demon had stopped the magic dead in its tracks. Nacadia's eyes turned from solid black to a dark, froggy green. She blinked a few times before stepping once toward The Witch. "Magic is worthless here, it's personal." She stated mentally, the thought carried from her mind and was sent to all of the deer around her. This time it wasn't her voice, it was a deep, dark and terrifying voice that could make a boulder shutter. She screamed again, and her face became tense and filled with agony, her feathers and fur stood up on end, making the doe seem rather terrifying, and fluffy. She began coughing, and wheezing. She seemed to be choking on something. A few short seconds passed by before she coughed one last time, only this time, a frog, fell out of her mouth and onto the grass and leaves below. Nacadia's feathers fell back down as she barely lifted her head. She looked directly at The Witch. The coldest stare she had ever given, and it was dark, filled with rage. Her body temperature began to climb, as she stared down the doe. "Are you trying to stop me from saving Illrose's life? Do you despise her that much?" The telepathic thought was sent directly to the doe this time. But the voice that carried it was different. It was light, feminine and beautiful, fitting the doe that was being trapped by the demon. Nacadia now stood, in between two, very large antlered deer, with Brooklyn next to her, a frog at her hooves and a Witch in front of her. The demon has grown.

{For those who don't know/remember Lily: picto~X reference~X}

As soon as she watched the Witch casting a spell on the winged creature she had never seen before, Lily stood up on the branch she had been sitting. Suddenly, everything made sense for her. She nearly couldn't contain a laughter, and started a slow and careful descent from the tall pine tree.

She could recognize most deers down there: in the middle of the fight, the large blood-red antlers shading Illrose's grey pelt; Nacadia, that Lily had seen a few times, although she couldn't recognize her demon form; Gustiro, although she had only approached him once and didn't know much about him until hearing them talking; and Brooklyn. She didn't know anything about the Witch, but seeing her casting magic made the entire situation clear. That fight seemed so silly now, but she wouldn't hide that she was worried for her friends. As she jumped from branch to branch she also noticed the unmistakable white mask contrasting with Kheiron's vivid orange pelt nearly imperceptible behind the birch trees, in the opposite side of the glade. And she decided to go talk to him before interfering in the fight. Not that she was scared. ~No...N-not a-at all~

Things were getting out of

Things were getting out of control, and all the confusion made Illrose even more irritated than the high screams. But what irritated her most was how the deer around her was able to change their appearances.
Nacadia, who turned into a demon of some kind, and Brooklyn who all of a sudden could grew claws from her hooves. Why could they change their appearance, while she was unable to change into the dragon
she once had been? And the last doe seemed to have some extreme magic of some sort. She was outnumbered, big time. Illrose didn't reply this time, she only backed away from Brooklyn in case the other doe
would try an attack with those claws. She snorted in frustration and dislike, but the doe was not of any interest of her. She stopped at a safe distance a few meters away, now just looking at the scene again,
without showing any interest in attacking either of the deer in front of her. The only one of interest was Gustiro, and he seemed to be surrounded by protectors at the moment. Expect from that last doe, the one
who had taken Gustiro's mask. Illrose didn't know where to place her yet.

Kheiron just stared at the

Kheiron just stared at the fight. He would've interfered long ago if it hadn't been for all the deer that had shown up. And everyone was against Illrose, it seemed. He was getting really bothered by the situation; he wanted so badly to stand up or his friend but he was afraid of getting hurt by doing so. And Kheiron knew he wasn't the strongest fighter in the forest. They could crush him in a minute if they wanted to. Illrose had a bigger chance at surviving a fight like this, and Kheiron knew she had some sense in her. She would (hopefully) back down if the pressure was too high.
He had been concentrating so hard on what happened that he didn't notice Lily suddenly appearing. He had been laying close to the ground all the time, pressing his belly towards the ground, but as soon as he saw the shadow of someone over him, he jumped up and looked rather startled at his friend.
"Lily? Where did you come from!"
There was clear concern in his eyes, and being surprised like this probably wasn't the most fortunate thing that could've happened just now. His heart was beating like a drum and he backed away from her even if he knew she was a friend. His ears laid back against his neck in fright.
EternalWanderer's picture

Lily got surprised by how

Lily got surprised by how nervous Kheiron seemed. She had never seen him scared before. But now she had worse possibilities to worry about, and recovered the compusure quickly "Shhh it's alright, it's just me, calm down... just don't let them know about us... yet" she whispered, moving her eyes quickly between the fighters. She wasn't sure if they had heard and decided to ignore. She hoped they hadn't noticed at all. "I think... I think I know what happened to the mask. But I'm not sure they will hear first and attack second..."

Kheiron wasn't exactly

Kheiron wasn't exactly scared; more like startled. He managed to calm down a bit by her words.
"What do you mean? What happened to the mask? ...are you planning something, Lily?"
He raised an eyebrow, looking a bit suspicious about it all.

(I guess it's ok for me and Eternal no to wait for you others to reply yet? After all, our deer haven't interfered just yet. Let us now if it isn't okay, though!)
EternalWanderer's picture

She couldn't avoid a small

She couldn't avoid a small smile when she remembered her theory but she hidden it quickly under the mask, by lowering the head and turning it to the glade where the deers were staring at each others agressively. Lily whispered even lower. "Yes. I'd rather not tell you yet, but I'll need your help if they attack me." she looked back at him, worried that he wouldn't accept with the situation placed on those terms. "Nothing dangerous, only need you to block or distract them if one of them decides to charge before I can talk. And you can always flee and leave me, Illrose and Nacadia to die" she said, with a shrug and a careless note in the last sentence as if it didn't really matter for the world if he was a coward. Lily had lately mastered pretty well the theatre skill and liked to use it to get things for herself, but this time it was serious. She started walking slowly out of the hideout, doing her best to look even more little and vulnerable comparing to the large sized stags, does, demons and witches in the horizon, gifted of sharp antlers, claws and fangs.

{...omg.}

Whatever was happening with

Whatever was happening with Nacadia the red bull did not like it. The sound of her voice, the change in her appearance, the way she stood and acted in an almost predatory manner. His muscles quivered as if in anticipation to attack this new found enemy. Yet he did not budge. Not to attack her or get around her. He stood his ground, head held high and hooves firm in the dirt beneath him. The tension was so thick that even the air seemed heavy and hard to draw in.
His dark eyes roved over the several deer in the immediate area. From Nacadia’s twisting and shifting from to Brooklyn’s tense figure. From the familiar doe to the frustrated Illrose who retreated a few meters away. He seemed to be carefully weighing the situation, trying to make sense of the chaos he had started. Then suddenly he turned from the deformed figure that was once Nacadia, away from those that stood to protect him and those who were prepared to fight him, and took a few steps away.

At a few feet he paused. His eyes turned to scan the gathering again. They drifted across them all before locking upon the doe known as The Witch. Brown gaze seemed to burn as they narrowed upon her. A hateful look in his otherwise calm or simply determined eyes. Even when fighting Illrose he had never held such a despising look. "You," he called over the sounds of the others. "Will find you." His tone was that of a deadly promise and without another word he continued on, traveling at a steady pace from the group.
And yet paused again as a single ear gave a flick. He turned his head to catch sight of the new doe approaching them. Both ears flew back against his head as he watched Lily’s progress.

((Seed, I find The Witch rather amusing. lol

The demonic doe watched as her friend turned away from her. She became greatly relieved to see him go. This meant she could leave as well. She turned around, and began running toward the birch forest. She extended her massive wings, much too large in proportion to her body, and lifted her slender legs into the air. She glided across the area, hardly in the air, then pulled her wings up and landed quite a distance from the rest of them. She was tired. Fighting her demon had drained her energy. She sat in the grass and quickly groomed one of her hooves., before laying down. She covered her body with her immense wings and rest her head in the grass. Slowly she fell asleep there, in the birch, surrounded by the trees, waiting to be awoken.

ANYWAY:

Lily walked slowly in their direction, aware of their attention. Again, her casually learned acting skills came out really useful, as she wanted to look more confident than she felt inside. Which wasn't much. ~Nacadia left... good.~ she thought. Without a mad hawk-dragoon storming havoc in the vegetation, it was a bit safer. Finally, she was close enough to be heard over the argument. She looked sharply into the bull's eyes, in that certain way that commanded «obey first, think second» and issued her order.
