I wouldn't recommend it?! In TEF fawns are generally considered young, juvenile deer. Think about that for a bit.

If you're looking for companionship, another deer for your character to spend time with and hang out with, that's cool. Other players will likely be more comfortable talking about becoming mates after your deer isn't perceived as a child.
