I can't tell you how much I LOVE IT! Thank you so much for making one for my deer! <3 It's absolutely beautiful. It has a great texture to it. By the way, I really got a kick out of the wax stamp!

Good evening, Forest!
We had such a lovely time tonight. We danced with three very sweet fawns, ran all across the Forest with a nameless deer, saw an old friend again, and met a stag who kept changing into a fawn. Silly! I'd love to know who you are. You're in a few of these screenshots. And the poor third fawn, your pictogram doesn't show up too well in my picture...
Later on we met Scape, Magnet, and a third deer (sorry, I'm bad with names). Scape (Pegasicorn?), you and your deer are hilarious together! And I know I tried to snap a screenshot of everyone walking slowly together, but I can't find it...
Then, out of nowhere, QuadRaptor showed up! And Redkora! I was glad to see you both! I'll let these pictures speak for themselves. But it was great to play with you all.

Costume;
Changes often. I do not have my deer wear a "set." His favorite costume is the Kabuki mask, dark brown and gold-striped pelt, and natural antlers with poppies. But you may not see him wearing this. He runs around in a "vintage" costume every now and then too.

Random;
-My deer is often referred to as Laruna, Runa, or La Runa. (I call him "La Runa" and "my deer").
-Sometimes it sounds like I'm talking about my deer as a character. However, I do not see him that way within the Forest. When you interact with him, you're interacting with a reflection of myself.
-My deer is a Stag "by default" (and to make things easier), but I really see him as genderless.
-La Runa's antlers are actually branches. A different kind of plant or tree grows every year. The foliage changes with the seasons as well.
-I see my deer as an older Stag. He has an "expressed" age and a "true" age. So, he's a lot older than his outward appearance.
-His soul is his feminine expression (anima). When he thinks, he "hears" a woman's voice.
-If he spoke human, I think his voice would sound a lot like Liam Neeson's (think Aslan, from "Narnia")... or the lead singer of Beirut. (can't decide).
Hello, everyone! I'm gonna teach you a neat way to give your Endless Forest screenshots a fancy new look. I'll just be covering the basics, so I encourage you to experiment and look up other tutorials on the internet for more tricks!

***I assume you have a basic understanding of Photoshop 7 or any equivalent program. If you need specific help, please ask me!***
Step 1: Shoot, Crop, Resize
Cropping and resizing your images can really improve your shots. The photo I used was resized from 1000x720 to 400x286! Once you have your image, you can follow these steps...
Step 2: Duplicate
Duplicate your image two times. You should now have three layers (see below). You won't be altering the first one at all, so don't worry about it.
Step 3: Settings
This is where we get technical. I have an image here to help you:

See the drop-down box that says "Normal"? Head there for these next steps:
1) Set LAYER 1 COPY to SCREEN
2) SET LAYER 1 COPY 2 to SOFT LIGHT
(You will not be working with LAYER 1)
Your image should look like this:
You can see how even a few settings can really alter a picture!
Step 4: The Magical Exclusion Layer
Create a new layer. Fill it with #09002E, which is a navy-blue (almost black) color. Set this layer to EXCLUSION. Your image should look like this:
Step 5: Fine-Tuning
Good evening, Forest. I had a great time earlier. There were clone parties! Clones are the best when they look absolutely ridiculous...
Yeah, I think we accomplished that. Those poor fawns!

Clone parties are so much fun. It's great to see everyone acting goofy and dressing differently than they usually do. I've always wanted to interpret player personalities from sets. I kind of admire deer who wear the same set. When a deer casts something on me, it's over-- I wear whatever they give me. Sometimes I don't, but in the end, I never look the same when I log off.

p.s. I was having problems with the Forest earlier. (at one point, I wasn't able to sniff, nuzzle, or eat mushrooms...) I kept trying to figure out what was wrong, so my deer may have acted a little strange.
Good morning, fellow deer-deer. I believe this is my first journal entry. I will try to make it worth your while. Thank you for taking the time to read. When I woke up today, to my surprise, it was raining! This is my favorite time to be in the Forest. I put on my whistling mask and candles and explored the Forest. It's quiet, except for the sound of rain...
At first, there were only a few deer in the Forest. I greeted those who were there, played a little, cast some spells... But in the distance, I heard the faint calls of more deer. Slowly, others emerged from within the Forest, and we grouped together. It was delightful to spend time with everyone. There was dancing, sitting parties, button mashing, and huddling in the Great Oak. There was a friendly nameless stag present as well. I think you were trying to get my attention? I'm not sure what you wanted, so I apologize if I upset you. I hope you choose to name your deer and join us in the Forest! (Or maybe you're already named? )
I spent more time in the Forest, but these are all the pictures I have, so I will conclude.
