Random Gift Writing for Pan (Nikodim)

Nikodim

He is like the dormant winter world: Cold, unyielding expanses capped with suffering. From him come broad claws of reaching tree bones embedded in frozen ground, bare without a skin of grass or hair to cover it.

He is like the last moment of fall: Vibrant reds against black soil black, a beautiful sight before hibernation. Over him lay all the colors of a season half way between frozen and warmth.

Beneath the seasons, he is like the underground: the further underneath you go the hotter things become. Hot blood rushing under cold skin causes him to steam below the skin as he boils in his very core.

If you knew him, you would know that the heat of summer runs beneath the frigid winter of his exterior. His icy exoskeleton protecting what it is that could kill or nurture: the heat of the brutal desert of his anger fighting the calming warmth of a summer evening.

Inspired, and bored.

Drift away... float away... (Important Jupiter plot twist)

Things you have never seen, or never will. (Jupiter Story)

The fawn awoke, her eyes fluttering open like a butterfly's millifiori wings.

The flower patch lay spread before her, a million flowers like a million stars coursed along the ground. As if under a drought of poppy, the fawn awoke so slowly that minutes seemed like hours. Her ears were the last to awake, sharply trouncing her with bouts of sound. It did not feel good. Jupiter pressed her ears to her skull to drown out the sound, but it did not help any. Her hearing was too acute, it seemed. And... well, Jupiter's eyes would not wake up all the way. She no longer could see the very edge of her flower patch.

The very tiny edges of her vision would not un-blur. Rubbing did not help, blinking did not help. The fawn was scared. Something was so wrong, so so wrong. The fawn daintily crept to her hooves, making her way to the Crying Idol. The water's cold mist greeted her harshly, soaking her fur til it clung to her sides.

Jupiter still made her way under the rushing tears. Her hooves dug in to the mud, body trembled beneath the onslaught of water. It soaked and chilled her to the bone, but she would not get out, not until her eyes and body were clean. Her head tilted back, breath held hitched in her throat, an opened her eyes against her instincts. The icy water burned. It stung, and she sharply in-took what she hoped to be air... and coughed, swallowed more, choked.

Her body trembled as she crawled free, hitching and coughing, then collapsed in the poppies and moss next to the rumbling stone statue. She convulsed, vomiting acid and water.

Jupiter still was afraid to open her eyes. She was afraid that the blurriness would still be there. And so the fawn lay on the ground, shivering, with the stone and water roaring in her ears.

Just a little definition for you. (Glossary of player terms on TEF and Elsewhere.)

I have seen a lot of this on here... this misinterpretation. Here's a little helpful hint as to what each abbreviation really means and how to use it.

Character Labels: OC (Original Characters) FC (Fan Character) FMC (Fan Made Character) SIC (Self-insert Character)

Play Labels: IC (In Character) OOC (Out of Character)

[center]

"OC" means Original Character. You created this character. This is YOUR character. Played IC all the time.

"FC" means Fan Character. This is a character based heavily off one from the media. The player did not create this character and will be playing it according to how it acts/is in the media it was created to be in.

"FMC" means Fan Made Character. This means that the character is based off of media, but the character itself is not one of the real characters.

SIC or OC/OOC: The "Self-Insert Character" is the representation of a person in the forest through a character that is just like themselves and/or how they wish to be. The only things I could liken it to is a Fursona or an Avatar. They may have special stories or character traits, but it all boils down to the "OOC" part: These deer represent their players. On TEF, there are a few SIC deer. This means that these are the physical representations of their player in the forest.

"IC" means In Character. This means the character is disassociated with the player. They have their own thoughts, personality, and actions that do not represent the player. Please remember that if am IC character is mean to your deer it may not be because the player dislikes you, but the character may have a reason for his/her actions.

"OOC" means Out Of Character. This is context not related to any character. It's like IRL.

Poetry

I am scorned
Not alone, not a child
not yet grown.

I am loved
Not a beast, not the greatest
not the least.

I am small

I am sweet

I am bitter

I am consider-a-ble.

Don't you see that I am me?

How would....

....a deer go about losing a limb/ear/tail/etc in The Endless Forest?

Gimme some hypotheticals, please!

What do you do when.....

Your character wants to be designed in a way that conflicts with your wishes?

Jupiter keeps popping up with a Real Deer face... when I wanted her to have a humanoid face. She also keeps popping in to my head as an IRL doe without antlers, when I wanted her to be a TEF deer and have antelope horns and long hair.

Guys, help? My character is arguing with me! >.<

Pictos not spreading?

>.< On the newest version... I was fine earlier, but now they won't spread.

I have tried both re-starting and re-installing.

Why? (Interaction please)

Now we all understand that children, especially Forest Fawns, always seem to ask *headtilt* "Why?"

Here are a few Questions that Jupiter has about her new home. I would appreciate if your older, wiser deer answered them for her.

Jupiter asks:
  • Why do deer wear masks? Don't they like their faces?
  • Why do they fight? Don't they love each other?
  • Why can I not keep magic? Don't the Gods like me?
  • Can you Hear me? Why don't others answer back when I call for them? Why don't the Gods answer back when I ask them questions?

As you can see, she is just full of difficult questions today...... >.<
