Developing Diana (Roleplay!)

My heart thrums softly, gently. It feels like a gentle tapping in my chest, but this inconsequential tap is what keeps me alive. It's important.

Grasses swayed in the early spring breeze as a doe stood grazing. The squeaking rip of grass being pulled from itself wasn't loud unless you looked for it... or maybe were a rabbit. She did not seem to disturb the nearby lapin, who chewed on some dandelion shoots. Diana felt a kinship with the small beast, even if it was just because she shared a brunch with him. Oddly, the doe even thanked her company for enjoying the spring morning with her as he slowly moved off. Maybe that ear-flick was a goodbye in kind... she mused, returning to browsing for the meal.

Mushrooms made a fine main course, and a drink of sweet cool water ended the meal as a palate cleanser. Sand sucked at her toes as she sucked in drought after drought of the icy spring pondwater, flicking her fluffy tail gently to ward off early flies. Her tail, however, would not ward off the frog that had misjudged a jump and bumped into her back leg. Oops! The doe giggled, moving her hoof so the little squishy being had a path into the water. She interpreted a croak from the amphibian as a thank you and a pardon. Unless he's mad at me for being in the way? I sure hope frogs really are kind creatures. I hope your day gets better! Watch out for fish and birds! He left her for the water with a plop.

Water dripped from the whiskers on her chin as the doe raised her head to scan the area around her. Frogs chirped, trees swayed and creaked, and birds flew from reed to reed as they gobbled bugs. The water lapped at the sand around her hooves, sucking like a hungry fawn. The feeling was entertaining, eliciting another giggle. Diana turned away, then, and began to head up the hill toward the statues that portrayed crudely the forms of gods.

White marble figures that weighed more than an irish elk stood proudly on a high hill to survey their realm. Inhabitants would come and pray, only to be choked by blue smoke and then turned blinding white. This spell was great fun to play tag with, Diana had found as a fawn. It also made her feel closer to the twin guardians of her home.

Quietly and with reverence the doe approached the statues and kneeled in front of them with her nose to the grass. She prayed.

Please, if you want to RP here do your best. Be literate, be coherent, and be considerate of Diana. I would prefer a RP that would help to develop her, not just a meaningless interaction.

Nika: The doe tried to take

Nika:

The doe tried to take the wallet with her hoof, to mimic the use of hands. It sat at her front, pinched between her two useful toes. Humans think like you, then. The leather was a fascinating substance. Lucky the doe was to not understand that leather was tanned animal skin. She could smell smoke, an acidic scent, just how worn and warm the leather was. The billfold opened on the grass, and the bright contents were visible to her. These have uses in your past? Thin bark, bits of shining stone, and a piece of hard material she wasn't familiar with. Human things. The words were thoughtful, almost mumbling. Quickly, though, she came up with a question she could ask that would be meaningful enough to request an answer for.

Was living in a different manner than your instincts tell you to a difficult thing, Himmel?

-----

Questions bombarded her. No. It was an answer for all the questions. They are here to help when you desire the help. Pray when you feel that you need to talk to them. They listen, and they know just how to help. All they ask in return is that you live and are happy. Diana always wanted to talk to the Gods. They saved her from death and gave her a soul. Her little light pulsed, growing when she inhaled and shrinking when she exhaled. As long as she breathed, it would stay lit.

He watched her play and

He watched her play and maneuver the wallet. "They're for identification."

He paused for a moment after she asked her final question, "Yes, at first. Wearing clothes was difficult to me as a child, but I got used to it. It was hard to stop eating grass, and to walk on my hind legs. That was probably the hardest. I had to learn to be less jumpy and cautious at every noise or bump. Though recently that instinct had saved me a few times...It was hard adjusting to human life."

The stag nodded, his ears

The stag nodded, his ears flicking back as he considered her responses. It took him several moments before he remembered his manners, rather that he more or less had manners, "Thank you for answering my questions, Lady Diana." he inclined his head enough to nod, wishing that his eyes would show through his mask enough to where she could see the sincerity in them where his voice may have failed. He had so much more to ask her, but he held his tongue. His ears flicked as he focused on the ground before him, suddenly lost to speak. She was probably tired of his voice by now, anyway.
