Was born the second child to a witch and king, in a fictional universe that strongly mirrors the early Polish dynasties during the middle ages. Lived in a small hut in the woods with his older sister and mother until the age of ten. Was discovered early on in his life to hold magical potential, sister included, and was instructed and taught by his mother to learn taboo magic arts, including necromancy and enchantment.

The children's existence was kept a secret by his mother, for a time. Time passed and the King had his own heir, L'ubomír's half-brother, who was a very sickly child, and would not live to surpass his father. The King was distraught, and desperately attempted to father more children, but could not, as the Queen whom he loved dearly was discovered to be sterile. His mother seized this opportunity and foolishly confronted the King about his bastard children's existence and pointed out the fact that they were much more reliable heirs. Enraged by her false candor, put her to the stake and sent assassins to kill his bastard children.

Before dying, however, his mother cast a protective ward on her children that transported a small portion of their souls to the Forest to ground them there, effectively encapsulating him in the Void between worlds.

Deeply changed and morphed by the black magic his mother was acclaimed for during the time between worlds.
