Name: Nephele
Pictogram:
Gender: Doe
Voice: 0:21 to 0:28

Current Set
Magpie Pelt; Orca Antlers; Secretary Mask

Behaviour
She is easily angered, which can be used as both fuel for a sparring match or just as a bit of a practical joke (teasing her to get her riled up). Her tough exterior is partially to mask her insecurity, since I never imagined her as mean-spirited or evil. She has moments where that tough exterior will come dangerously close to cracking and if she feels threatened to the point of breaking, she will panic and flee. If alone or meeting somebody new, she will appear aloof however if she is with friends, she will loosen up and let some genuine emotion shine through (laughing, joking). She will allow physical contact like nuzzling and won't make a scene over it but, truly, she does not like nuzzling because it feels weak and too intimate for her (so she may condone it but become very withdrawn and walk away if it becomes overwhelming). She loves to provoke other deer and test their limits; to see what makes them tick and what will cause them to abandon their morals and react to her. If a deer is to continuously try to push her and interact despite her taunting, she will become confused and unsure and may flee. This reaction may also be provoked if a deer displays attachment to her, as she tries to avoid forming reciprocal relationships. Her ears are constantly flickering and moving, picking up on sound and movements to try and anticipate every movement, whether it be when she's playing with friends or challenging an opponent. If she is not taking a battle seriously, she is not above trotting away if she becomes bored of it. However if she is in a battle and she realizes it is serious, she will not back down even if she is weaker; she would rather be cornered and bleeding than back away from a fight.

Appearance
Her mask is the most important and significant part of her appearance. The main feature is that it protects her eyes and most of her face from being viewed. You can still catch a glimpse of her face however it is as much for your sake as it is hers (not being able to see her eyes). It is in her nature to provoke other deer and that may lead to some sparring which is where her false antlers come into play. They are extensions of her mask and they do not break, however they may chip with repeated sparring. The mask gives her a pop of colour, which is the white & red against her dark pelt. She does have a marking she hides beneath the mask, which is part of the reason that she wears it.

I just wanted to add

I just wanted to add something about the word Nephele. I guess you mean the ancient Greek word which means cloud, fog, dark?
It's pronounced Nehp'ehlä in German "letters", in English maybe Neph'elæ or in newer Greek Nef'elæ, but the e is - er - does this sound exist in English? I think not O_o. It's this then.
Er, didn't want to be a a smart-ass, but I love ancient languages and their pronounciation... Laughing out loud

Interesting character, by the way, but I think Federweber would be afraid of her... ^^'

Oh no, I don't mind, I was

Oh no, I don't mind, I was getting confused because a lot of sites described a pronunciation phonetically but there were only a few that had an audio file of it, which was a lot easier to understand because I butcher pronunciations terribly unless simplified, heh. I figured I could either let people just pronounce it how they want to (as there is no place I would ever have to actually say it) or attempt to give the simplest way of pronouncing it in English if people are as confused as I am Sticking out tongue

It's still confusing but I do understand the sound (although I understand it from the Polish pronunciation much more easily than the English example). I think I'll just let people decide how they want to pronounce it in their heads, haha.

I agree. There are so many

I agree. There are so many native speakers of different languages here, probably there couldn't be a uniform pronounciation^^
But in german it's quite simple. Nepelä. I like ancient greek Eye
