Quaking, chills running up and down your spine as overwhelming cold sweeps your every nerve.
I try to warm you, to surround you in my comforting light, offtering you the only cradle fit for my son.
You reject it.
You curl upon yourself tighter, shaking as every ligament, nerve, fiber of your being surrounds you with chills. Gentle, sparkling liquid streams from your long-closed lids, each drop of silver-tinted crystals clinging to you before dropping off into darkness. I haven't seen your eyes in ages, once such a lovely tinted silver now covered with tightly shut white lids. Lightly dusted, grey lashes are the closest to what I can imagine your eyes to be, as you hide them so carefully from me now. I gave you such wonderful eyes, hoping that you could see what little paradise I offered to you so long ago.
I wish you would let me see those wonderful reflecting mirrors.. I modeled them after the stars that surround me. Gave them that little twinkle that they too, carry.
Instead...you only open them to look down upon that paradise of yours, lost to you. You only allow them to see your eyes, even if you are probably long gone to their memories and vision.
Come look at me, my child. Let me see your lovely silver eyes once again...
