There's a difference between standing up for your opinion, and outright badmouthing someone to their face. You said something hurtful and personal to Lex, so I stood up for him.

If you don't like him, you don't have to tell him. You can just keep that sort of thing to yourself rather than going out of your way to hurt him.

The truth doesn't have to hurt, but I guess it's more fun your way?

My way of telling the truth is a lot more different then it would be for most people on TEF and in the real world, I tell it how I see it and more then often im called 'Rude' and 'hurtfull' because of it. Not that I mind. Im quiet blunt as well, I think that beating around the bush really doesnt help and sometimes lifts hopes up before making them come crashing down. So, I tell the truth in the most blunt way I can.

I have a friend with high level aspergers and he thinks very carefully about telling someone he dislikes them. He wouldn't say something like that.

I'm sorry, but here's /my/ opinion: I think Lex deserves an apology.

I can totally understand what you mean Tolvia, really I do. There is always a time and place for such blunt honesty, sometimes people just need sense beaten into them. However, I don't think you've realized that not all instances require such force, or maybe it's just that you don't care.

I just think it's sad that you'd prefer being called a hurtful cow over having people respect your opinions as the honest critique they could be. The only difference is a little bit of consideration.
Just put some thought behind that, since I can see this is part of your self-identity...but I'm sure there's better ways to present yourself to the world than the face you've chosen to present at the moment. I've never seen someone willingly open themselves up to such hurt-full language (nobody would get away with calling me a cow, that's for sure!).

It's a shame somebody has to earn your respect for you to consider treating them decently.

So you need to change the way you behave- even if it's just on this site alone- rather than just excusing yourself from blame, otherwise people will just continue to be hurt by you and eventually you won't have any friends left to offend.
