A heart that breaks early

always has a chance to flourish again.

It can withstand all devastation

and sadness.



Sometimes the mind will play tricks,

but in the end she knows he never really left.

Her friends always cared for her

through all sickness and fear.

Whilst he looked down with longing,

friends looked up at the sky the same.

But the midnight skin began to long for more

and found herself crying

and found herself pleading.



Her cries were heard

and the doe would become a mother.

She was given a new lease of life

and her friends never left her.

Even though the midnight was happy

dangers were always lurking.

The raven began to feel uneasy

whilst the father began to ponder

and the skies began to reveal.



The time was nearing

for the new midnight mother

as she began to struggle.

The eve was fast approaching as the father waited eagerly

whilst the mother began to give birth.

Two babes were born at the loss of a mother

and the forest witnessed the birth of a galaxy.



One by one they would turn to the sky

and say their goodbyes.

Even though the tears were shed

and memories were shared;

deer would learn

that they were never really gone.
