The Demon Diaries: Chapter One

The Beginning: A History of Demon's Birth

Everything must have a start, and that too includes a particularly well-known individual called Walter. Or as most people refer to him: The Demon Gazelle.

When it began, the surrounding world was dark. Vision was impossible, yet hearing was not. The call of birds could be distinguished, accompanied by the soothing trickle of running water nearby. So when Demon awoke for the first time, the sounds could be identified with vision and his life could begin.

The first sounds were the birds high above in the air. The second sounds were of his hooves as he took his first steps. The third noise was his call, which echoed throughout an almost deserted forest.

Almost? Well, it seemed so, because there was no other living deer around. Not even another asleep just as he had been. Still, smaller critters: squirrels, frogs and birds, were all busy passing by, doing just as they had done when the world was formed. The stag watched with curiosity and amazement as a small amphibian passed him by, hopping and croaking as if everything were normal. But how could they be normal? The land was empty..

On the second day, Walter awoke once more to the sounds of the birds in their nests, the croaking of the frogs and the running of the water. He was bold this time; his feet took him out from between the trees, and out into a bright clearing. From here, his eyes could see that the world around him was beautiful and at peace; the running water he knew so well could be seen running into a pond. Keen to explore this paradise, the young stag wandered forth, and indulged himself in the water of the river.

What a delight! The water was neither too cold nor too warm, but a refreshing temperature. He drank from the river for a few seconds, then ventured further downstream to see this pond better. He noted the bridge along the way, and for a moment, stopped to look at the structure.

One Month Old Today

YAY Hunny Bee is one month old today. She spent the morning finding new pelts. I'd like to thank the deer who helped me and kept changing the masks until I found the right one.XD I'd put up pictures but I don't know how too. Maybe someone can help me with that?

Journal of the Masquerade Deer - 1st Entry

Taken from the journal of the self-proclaimed expert on the so-called Masquerade Deer of an even stranger place called The Endless Forest, Professor Phudd Aylmer [Editor's Note: Run on sentence? By the way, as editor, I will not correct Prof. Aylmer's typos. The genius should know how to write. >_>]

~The 7th of January~

I am world renown expert on all things Cervinae. Expect to learn something from my legacy--my journals. Cryptozoology has turned a blind eye to these odd creatures, these mysterious creatures of the woods, but while others refuse to believe, I know these creatures exist. I have seen them. I have photographed them. Continue to be a skeptic if you wish. Or even call my photographical evidence a fake, a mere trick of some super computer program. But I am here to say, as loud and as clear as any boom of thunder, that the Masquerade Deer exist.

Here is their tale.

On viewing the Forest for the first time, one can get a sense of its grandness. Running and exploring for hours can feel like you're just running in circles. And on my first day, I discovered a young fawn barely an hour old. The little guy was a tricky one to track. One moment there and the next...poof! Thus I dubbed him "Ghost."

I think he saw me. I wonder what I look like to him? Can he really see me? Is-is he laughing at me? That little bas-- No. I must refrain. Must be professional about this.

It soon became apparent that Ghost had a younger brother. I called him "TNT," for obvious reasons. In my later investigations, it is a sad truth that TNT is rarely seen. The stag has a maturity about him which is sorely lacking in his older brother.

Dreams? We do not know if these strange creatures can dream. But if they could, what would they dream of?

A great day with Shoe and Red Kora

Quad found Shoe and Red Kora playing with Trois, so he decided to join them.

But when Trois left, Shoe and Red Kora began to circle Quad. He started to get dizzy.

A few more deer showed up, including Twilight Demon (I'm sorry I don't know the name of the other deer).

The trio began to listen out for other deer.

A fawn began to enchant Quad, and he looked so funny that Shoe fell over laughing.

Then the trio began to get silly.

Quad really enjoyed the company of these two. He hopes to see them again soon.

Bell's picture

A Very Brief Recap

Starting somewhere around New Year's, Bell was in love with all of the flowers and mushrooms.

After waking up to find the Forest had been gifted with a makeover, Bell ran to the nearest set of tulips and tried to be as picturesque as possible- moo pretty! There were many dance parties beneath the wide brims of mushrooms and it seemed no one was in a bad mood. Had it already been three months since she arrived in the forest?

One of her favorite activites, so long as she is mindful of her boundaries, Bell and Demon Gazelle danced the day away atop the pond. She fought the urge to laugh, for she knew that it would be her literal downfall, but it was hard! Fawns and stags alike were succumbing to the magic-ripping powers of the pond in their attempts to mimic the pair.

Through a fit of spell casting, Bell found herself with the bright 'tiger' pelt, and trotted right over to a stag with a matching one. She sniffed him, perhaps they were related? But the moment was ruined as he went to stand. She quickly reverted back to her former self, identity crisis avoided.

More pond dancing! But this time, Bell played the part of the audience. Though, she did join Cyric for a few moments, she thought it was safer behind the makeshift barrier. She joined the other stag behind the fallen tree, and they watched in silent amusement while other deer hopped into place on top of the pond, once they figured things out.

Alright, trying out a blog

1...2...3...testing...testing....

Omggjdnfhk it works!

Just found out about the new community site, and I have to say, I love it so far! Especially the live map; if a friend of yours is online, you know when to attack them with moos and nuzzles. I think it's also pretty cool how you can view the profile of a certain deer, so that way you know who you're playing with if you want to keep in touch with them.
But anyway, I barely got on here, so I'm off the explore the rest of the site. Just wanted to test out a blog first. See all of you in the forest!

So today...
