After a few crazy months, we're back on track for the Ballet... but there's a new and exciting twist.
It's going to be...
A Nutcracker!
Yes, we're taking the traditional story and setting it in the Mountains. BUT! In place of a journey to the Land of Sweets, our Clara will be traveling to The Endless Forest to search for her little brother, lost in the woods years ago and raised by the deer.
Instead of the traditional Tchaikovsky, we're using music by Al Petteway and Amy White, and we're planning on making the Forest section very colorful. We will have a live narrator (working on the Hubster for that one, he has an amazing voice) and we're looking at an incredible venue that overlooks the Mississippi River.
Our students are abuzz with fundraising ideas. We're going to have a student choreography show in Spring, a car wash, yard sale, so much to do!
It's time to dig in, everyone. Ideas welcome, and love to all!
