Backyard Deer

HOMG! XD -squees- Ok...so this might be a common occurance for a lot of people but we live on the outskirts of a city in Whitetrashville so...we don't see much wildlife. But my dogs started carrying on today and I peeked out the window to find...a deer family!

First one fawn, then another, then the momma deer who seemed a bit too paranoid to get much further out in the open. That's actually my neighbor's backyard...and yes, they are snacking on his garden XD

I believe these fawns are twins. There COULD have been another doe waiting in the trees...but they look about the same age. Anywho, sorry about the grainyness...my camera has horrible zoom. I could have gotten closer had the dogs not started to throw themselves against the windows after the mamma deer appeared >< They eventually spooked and ran off. STOOPOT DOGS.

HOMG XD I shall watch for them now. Maybe leave them out some snacks :3

aww ^-^ I miss seeing deer.

aww ^-^

I miss seeing deer. It used to be every summer evening, I could sneak out to the woods and watch for deer. I remember seeing a really beautiful buck once. he had this freaking huge rack too XD

I haven't gone insane......I've gone awesome.

Our backyard is a swamp, so

Our backyard is a swamp, so we dont get much deer (YAY MOSQUITOES) But sometimes in the fall, when the water is gone, you will see a doey and her fawny. :3

Aww! I wish we got cute

Aww! I wish we got cute little deer like that. All we have here is elk. :/ Magestic and beautiful but scary as #%$@ if you actually see one anywhere near you. (for me anyways..)

YOU GET ELK?!?! omg I envy

YOU GET ELK?!?! omg I envy you...I love elk! all I get is tree frogs in my bathtub :C

I haven't gone insane......I've gone awesome.

TREE FROGS?! ELK?! AHH! I

TREE FROGS?! ELK?! AHH! I WANT!
-giggle- It's funny what's exotic to some and common place to others. I live in Ohio so...we don't get a wide spectrum of critters >< It's weird though, I actually expected to see more than I have wildlife wise where I am. I mean were in the city but we have a nice patch of woods behind us...not to mention my neighbor has a huge scrap pile in the back..it's like haven for snakes. Yet I've never seen one! Disapointing >< Maybe I just need to get out more.

I also get to see smushed

I also get to see smushed armadillos in the road...............not a pretty sight XD

I remember sitting out all day in the woods waiting for an animal to show up.
One day's worth of watching got me freaked out by a group of deer crashing through, a furry gray thing chasing me, and a pet woodpecker who followed me home.

just pray that you get to see sane animals...........................

It is weird how deer are now exotic to me as tree frogs are to you guys, cuz to me they are loud and annoying and rude when the glomp attack your head while you're reading >:C

It would be cool to see a bear............if you were a good distance away XD

I haven't gone insane......I've gone awesome.

I tried going on a little

I tried going on a little wildlife photoshoot behind my house once (we have mountains behind our house) and ended up having to turn back when one of my dogs got chased home by a jackrabbit. So sane animals? Nope..never seen one.

We get quite a few animals where I live...most of them being preadators though. (Mountain lions/bears/etc.)

-frown- I knew I shouldn't

-frown- I knew I shouldn't have told my mom...she totally ruined my excitement. The moment I showed her the first pictures I took she's all "Omg....They're eating his garden!"...and every picture after that >< All she could say was how the deer was ruining the garden and how she needed to tell the neighbor so he could put up a fence or scare them off. I was so pissed. Sorry but...I don't get that mind set at all...those people who can look at a majestic deer and automaticaly think PEST! I can't do it. I'm against hunting. I know the darker side of it that people are ignorant of or simply choose to ignore.
But...yeah, now she's going to tell our neighbor who doesn't come off as an overly sympathetic guy when it comes to animals >< I'll probably never see them again. I guess it might be a good thing though...there's some real nuts around my house who would probably shoot them for sport, babies or not.
