Being among the largest species of modern deer, Virgil is muscular, carrying behind him a brute force and can move surprising weights. He knows this, and will use it in antler combat combined with twists, turns and thrusts of his pair of six tined antlers.
His antlers are a decent size, not small, and not ridiculously large. Each point is sharp, and they're still growing. This weaponry is designed for locking antlers with an opponent, but they are perfectly capable of inflicting serious injury, and even death.
Virgil has learnt to be swift, agile and fast; he prides his powerful legs, designed for a balance between speed and distance, more so speed. He has potential to deliver a nasty kick.

Across his muzzle is a ragged X shaped scar that as he ages, is very gradually fading.
His coat is a soft light brown that's darker and reddish around the back of his neck and shoulders. His face and ears are lighter as is his rear.

Naturally, he has very subtle facial expressions. You will have to look closely if you wish to tell whether he is smiling, frowning, or anything else. His hazel eyes are probably the best place to look.

Virgil is a wild animal in his prime. And his physical power is at it's peak at night - he is a more Crepuscular and Nocturnal creature than he is Diurnal.
90% of his communication is in the form of body language, he does not talk much unless prevoked to do so.
Every Autumn, he experiences a state of Rut. During this time Virgil is driven by the instinctive need to reproduce, and will display and fight to increase his chances to achieve this goal. (I will only portray this if given permission.)
Virgil is a great and highly experienced fighter. He will study and judge the foe before fighting, and will adapt his style to increase his chances of winning the fight. He will use speed and agility against a foe larger and more powerful than himself. With a more matched foe, he will engage in antler combat. And with a foe smaller and weaker, he will refrain from fighting. He does not like to fight anymore than what's necessary - usually.
