Ashley felt much better now, her old battle wounds have healed. Kuwaka put her in her place, at least with him but it didn't seem like it would stop her aggressive behaviour-- although in her mind, it was their fault because they cornered her and treated her like a danger. Treat her like it, she'll act like it.
The bitter memory caused the tall albino doe to snarl, revealing her lethal white canines. She felt herself become angry again. She needed to calm herself and she knew just what to do.
Ashley made her way to the pond, laying underneath the willow tree, some of the leaves brushing against her pelt. Stayed there and relaxed.
why are there two 08's???

Journeyed to the ruins and stayed there for a while, hiding her albino pelt among the massive gravestones. Ended up napping for a bit before awakening. She stood up and shook the dust from her pelt before moving on.
Ashley came across Jude from afar. Didn't know what was going on but seen a group of strangers standing in front of the two-faced fawn, one of them she recognized which was Fletcher. The doe didn't get a good vibe from what was happening, whatever it was, it wasn't her matter and she carried on-- she didn't want to interfere with what wasn't her business. Ashley stayed at the pond, keeping under the willow tree by the shore for shade. Fell asleep to the soothing sounds of the pond. The crickets, frogs and soft splashes of fish and turtles, these were her first sounds she heard when she was born. The pond would always be her favorite place.

RP up ahead with phantomhelsing and Postmortem
The albino's eyes were squinted against the rays of the sun. The light was harsh to her and filled her body with heaviness and fatigue. The doe never knew why the sun made her tired but it did.
She ever so badly wanted to lay down but she forced herself to keep moving, doing nothing wouldn't help her.
Interest made her ears perk and head raise at the sight of a blue buck, markings of hued gold decorated his fur. The doe cautiously walked forward, she wasn't as aggressive as she usually was, her injuries from a previous fight were still healing and she couldn't risk re-fracturing bones and more scars. Ashley stood a few feet away from the stranger, only until the stranger noticed her, would she introduce herself.
Atiq sat atop the red hill, observing the afternoon quiet of the woods around him. He sighed in contentment and closed his eyes, soaking the warm sunlight filtering through the trees, glad for the pleasant weather. He was certain the day would continue it's quiet, uneventful track, until he heard quiet footsteps behind him, one ear flicking back to alert him. He noticed a pale doe standing before him and swept into a low bow, "Oh hello there, I didn't notice you there at first." He paused when he looked back up at her, and noticed she looked positively exhausted. Atiq's eyes quickly darted over her form, taking in the fresh marks and obvious remains of a fight, brow furrowing in worry. "Oh my...please, would you like to sit down?" He gestured to the spot next to where he had been resting moments prior.
Her head bowed briefly in greeting and as thanks for the offer. "That'd be nice, thank you." The tall does voice was quiet and her words sounded as if she were barely making an effort to speak properly, some of her sentence going quiet and nearly inaudible. Her rose-hued eyes flickered from the buck to-- whatever she could look at, nothing in particular.
Ashley could still feel the soreness and bruises the fight had left on her body, squinting her eyes a bit in discomfort as she made her way to the spot and settled her battered physique on the ground.
Atiq waited for the larger doe to settle before taking his spot next to her, he didn't miss her wince as she did so. "Apologies, I realize we haven't been properly introduced, but I have to ask, are you alright?" He couldn't help the concern, it was a cemented facet of his nature, and what was he supposed to do when someone nearly stumbled up to him exhausted and wounded? He wouldn't turn away someone who needed help. It didn't matter that they'd met for only a few moments, this doe had his full attention, after he made a quick once over of the surrounding woods, making sure she wasn't followed.
"I-I'm fine." She stuttered. Did she seem weak? The doe forced herself to put on a game-face, she didn't want to let anyone know how weak she was-- mentally and psychically. "I'm Ashley." The doe spoke her name, hoping it might steer away from the questions.
The doe turned her rosy eyes to the stranger. "You are?" She asked, wondering who this stranger was.
He carefully observed her face has she responded, not totally satisfied with her answer but knowing enough to gather she was a bit guarded, he let it slide and didn't push further. Though he did make a note to himself to watch her, just in case.
"Ashley, " he said her name slowly, sticking it to his memory, and inclined his head respectfully at her, "well Ashley, you may call me Atiq." He gave her a warm smile.
"Nice name." She complimented, though it felt a bit awkward. What if they took offence to it and thought she was just sucking up? The doe stifled the urge to shake her head as if to shake her obsessive thoughts away. She instead took a breath and with it, the sentence following. "The forest is quite sunny today." Ashley's eyes still squinted at the sunshine that shone heavily through the trees and warmed the earth around and beneath them.
He chuckled, but it was good-naturedly, the comment actually flattered him a bit. "Indeed it is, I've been enjoying the warm weather." He sighed contentedly once more, one eye lazily sliding open to glance her way, noticing the way the light seemed to bother the doe. "Though you might want to at least turn yourself a bit to face the other way. Here," he gently directed her so that the sun wasn't in her face and he settled in front of her with his back to it so that they now sat facing each other. She was decidedly bigger than he was, so he wouldn't really block much light for her, but the sun was getting low enough to where it wouldn't matter in a bit.
"Thank you, that helps." The harsh light in her eyes eased, some of the blinding rays still dazzled her eyes but she was thankful it wasn't as bad. Moments like these are when Ashley started to wish she were smaller instead of the gangly creature she is.
"How long have you been in the forest?" Not all creatures that lived here actually originated from her, Ashley was forest-born, birthed at the pond but others once lived in different realms, dimensions even. Ashley wanted to know more about this-- Atiq fellow. Perhaps he could be a future companion. The thought of having a friend seemed to ease her worries.
Atiq nodded his head in acknowledgement to the doe, "I'm glad it's at least slightly better, the sun should be getting lower soon enough anyways." His brow then furrowed at the question she had just posed him, how long had he been in the Forest?, well, he didn't have any memory of anywhere but these woods...then again he didn't have a memory of a childhood or a family or the like either, he'd simply always been here, as he was currently. It didn't cause him any particular feelings one way or another, he couldn't feel loss at something he had no memory of, it was just simple fact.
As he was about to answer Ashely's question, however, he froze, gaze focusing on a point behind her, ears flicking forward in rapt attention, it was immediately obvious he'd spotted something. Indeed, as Atiq focused his gaze on a nearby tree, there was something, or rather someone, standing there. His alert posture relaxed and a warm smile crossed his features as he called out to their observer, "Well hello, little watcher! No need to be so secretive, you're more than welcome here."
The child, who had been lurking within the birch's tall grass took a careful step forward. He stared up at the blue stranger with curiosity. Quickly shifting a glance towards the albino doe before returning to the deer in front of him. "Hello!" Grimoire blurted out. He was somewhat surprised at the stranger's very welcoming greeting towards him, though, it made him happy. He kept his gaze fixated on him and offered a small smile.
Ashley shuffled uncomfortably but she forced herself to meet gazes with the child, but it lasted for a heartbeat. "Hello." and her gaze flickered away, staring at the sun-lit ground. The sight of young ones always brought brooding memories back, she felt her heart darken but tried her best not to show it in any form of body language, though she felt conscious that her discomfort was being given away easily by her refusal to make eye contact for long periods of time.
The stag was elated at the young one's receptive reaction. He slowly rose to his feet and walked over, bowing deeply before the child, "Well met, little one, would you like to join us over here, surely it would be more enjoyable than hiding in the grass?" he smirked warmly, turning so the child was at his side, beginning to lead him to where Ashley was sitting, watching. Ever observant, he didn't miss her subdued posture, but he'd do most of the talking if need be, he wanted her to get some much-needed rest more than anything else.
Grimoire gave an enthusiastic nod a followed the stranger's lead. Once at the spot the two unfamiliars were, the child took note of the albino one's posture. Quietly he made himself comfortable next to the two, neatly tucking his legs underneath his small body. His eyes shifted around, curiously observing the surrounding area before staring over at the strangers with big, gold eyes.
The albino wasn't quite sure what to say now, she felt anxious and her mind failed to bring up any topics. She flashed a rose-hued glance at Atiq as if to say. Say something, please.
Ashley released a quiet sigh and laid her head down on the forest floor, slightly hoping there was a topic she was able to join in, hopefully, her awkwardness and anxieties would fizzle out as she got to know the new arrival.
Atiq caught Ashley's glance at him and gave her a reassuring, even slightly amused smile in return, he had her back. He watched her settle, hoping a bit of his calm demeanour might transfer over to her, helping her relax a little more. The stag stretched comfortably and crossed his forelegs slightly, catching the gaze of the child. "Now that we're in a more comfortable setting, I believe we should properly introduce ourselves," he said, taking control oof the conversation. He gestured to the resting doe, "This is my lovely new acquaintance, Ashley," he grinned, "and my name is Atiq. And what would your name be?"
A somewhat worried- or rather confused look momentarily replaced the curious one when the albino one appeared a bit uncomfortable. However, once the blue stag spoke he turned his face back towards Atiq and grinned. "Grimoire." The young creature told the two with subtle confidence in his voice.
"Nice to meet you, Grimoire..." The does voice was quiet and nearly seemed to trail off. She didn't look at the child when speaking but continued staring at the ground in front of her.
"I'm sorry. I-I'm just a bit tired." Somewhat true, mostly not. She was in a great need of a rest though, especially with a body that was still healing from recent trauma to its structure.
He liked the feel of this one already, young but confident and spirited, Atiq could already tell they'd more than likely get along quite well. He inclined his head once more in polite greeting, "It is a pleasure to meet you, Grimoire." He then shifted as minutely and discreetly as possible, his shoulder moving slightly closer to Ashley as a subtle sign of camaraderie, she could feel content, safe, here. "So little one," he smiled invitingly at Grimoire, "are you new around here?"
The kid couldn't help but smile at the blue ones kind and genuine attitude, despite some underlying, unspoken concern for Ashley. His gaze continued jumping between the two individuals. Another enthusiastic nod. "It's my first time here." Grimoire informed him.
Ashley's ears perked. "You're not from here?"
Where did you come from? Her thoughts said. The albino turned her head to the child. "I was born here." She added on, in case either of them were wondering. "By the pond... I go there a lot to think, sleep. The sounds are soothing." The doe felt herself relax a bit more, as if she were there. Listening to the sounds. She thought she could hear the croaking of frogs from here, the occasional splashes from turtles, frogs and fish and sometimes even the nearby crickets and fireflies lighting the area when night had darkened it.
Atiq flashed her a slightly surprised yet approving smile, her sudden perkiness unexpected, but he liked it and planned on encouraging it. "Indeed, the Pond can be quite nice, as well as relaxing. I myself like to sit on the bridge every now and again to listen to it." He flicked his tail happily at the memory of the peaceful feeling of lazing on the sun-warmed stones of the old bridge, watching the lilies float and bob on the water, listening to the frogs and gentle burble of the stream. He brought himself back to the present, turning back to Grimoire.
"Well, welcome to the Forest, Grimoire! Where are you from originally, if you do not mind my asking?"
"Thank you." the small one told him. Upon hearing Atiq's following question, he gave an almost confused look before giggling a bit. "I don't remember." Truth be told, Grimoire did lack understanding or any real concept of his origins. He grinned. "I just woke up here." he admitted with another small giggle. He soon adjusted his position to a slightly less stiff one, allowing himself more comfort on the soft grass underneath him.
She was intrigued by the lack of memory. It seemed to only feed her curiosity. I really wonder where he came from.
"This world is strange... I'll admit that. I bet we're like aliens to other worlds," Being born here, she was used to the rather bizarre creatures and the ranges of possibilities but she knew they were quite strange to other worlds-- as other worlds would be strange to her and maybe others that have grown used to being here. "but I hope you enjoy being here."
The stag blinked in surprise at Grimoire's answer. It was the same as him, another soul with no memory of anywhere but here but clearly existing before they were aware of the enchanted woods. the two had something in common, maybe over time, they could puzzle out the answer together. "It's funny you should say that because I'm the same. I have no memory of any time spent outside this forest, I woke up here just as you see me before you. I never honestly thought I'd find someone else with the same story as me..."
He gave a small laugh at the mention of aliens. His ears instantly perked up and he peered back towards Atiq. Grimoire wasn't expecting such a coincidence, especially not during his first hours in this new world. The kid's eyes widened. "Really!?" He looked towards the ground, touching it with a hoof as he spoke. "Wonder how either of us got here... I wonder what this strange place is." He giggled more.
"Whatever it is, it's one hell of a place." Ashley chimed in, suddenly alarmed that she cursed in front of the child, not knowing if they were one to take offence or worry about swearing. "I mean-- one heck of a place." The doe corrected herself, she didn't want to teach young ones words they didn't need to know or to be saying. An awkwardness settled in within her afterwards.
Atiq let out a small snort of laughter at Ashley's slip, welcoming the candidness of it. He winked at her to reassure her when he noticed her awkwardness. "Yes, this place is more enchanted and unexpected in its ways than any one of us could ever imagine. At this point, I've just learned to roll with it." He chuckled low in his throat. Still sensing Ashley's current comfort level, he directed the conversation once more.
"So how are you enjoying your first day here so far? Anything exciting happen?"
Grimoire couldn't help but laugh at Ashley's little mistake, though soon stop himself, worrying it would be rude of him. The words the stag used to describe the forest caught his attention. Without realizing he leaned his head forwards a little more and asked. "Like magical?" The kid tried recounting instances in just this first day where he had seen at least some form of magic used.
The doe felt her ears grow hot with embarrassment but she let it go with a little huff of laughter herself, trying to push it down. It was a mistake. Ashley told herself. Everyone makes mistakes.
"There's a lot of magic here." She said to the child. "Beyond magic, even." The albino muttered almost inaudibly, half to herself. "You think you got somethin' special?" She asked, curious if Grimoire might be one of the newest warlocks within the forest. Ashley felt a twinge of envy, she didn't have any magical powers but she wished she did. The doe felt it'd be amazing to have mind-blowing and captivating abilities. To give life or to destroy it.
The stag's eyes lit up at the mention of magic, he was completely in love with all the different enchantments the Forest held, and certainly wouldn't let Grimoire leave without hearing a tale or two about them. "Oh my dear Grimoire are you in for a pleasant surprise. This place is absolutely saturated with magic, from the tops of it's impossibly tall trees down to below the waters of the Pond, and even in the residents themselves, there's much to be found here." Atiq's tone grew more excited as he recounted the wonder the Forest held, eager to impart how special this place was to it's newest member.
"Though we could show you some of it ourselves, it's much more exciting to discover on your own, though some of the magic will require a friend's assistance." He gestured over his right shoulder, deeper into the birch trees, "if you want somewhere to explore on your own first to get a taste of the magic here, I'd recommend the Drinkplaats off in that direction. It's a wellspring in a clearing, it's hard to miss," A playful expression made its way onto his face, "but it holds some pleasant surprises you'll want to explore."
Another laugh in reaction to Ashley's question followed by a small "Maybe..." Grimoire smiled and he stared at the blue one with much curiosity and interest. What he was hearing excited him, and he could only imagine what sorts of things he would come to see in the future. He had a stash of books containing information on...magic of sorts he hid upon waking up in the Forest, though he was too caught up and carried away in listening to Atiq and allowing his mind to wander. At the mention of a specific well, he glanced behind the stag to try and get a look.
Sudden fatigue washed over Ashley again. Her eyes felt heavy and so did her body. The doe had forgotten she needed to rest. "I need to sleep." The albino yawned, revealing a light pink tongue and gums and ferocious white, canine-like teeth. She curled her large but lithe physique, her head laid near her back legs and her rose-hued eyes closed. Ashley hoped they didn't mind that she planned to take her slumber here.
Raavas + Fritillaria was spotted today, hanging with the group but weren't included in RP
2017/07/27
Met Rasui after limping around the forest a bit. Felt annoyed with the wobbling bird, being greeted with hostility. Bit at Rasui didn't try to get a bite out of him, more like a warning. Decided to walk away when she had enough.
Found herself not far away from where Jude, Delacroix and unknown others sat. Made her way to them,
felt herself being eyed by Phobos
but ignored it as she limped over to Delacroix. The bull didn't seem to notice her that much but acknowledged that she was there. Felt disappointed in this. Ended up falling asleep, she felt her energy was easily drained after the fight.

Approached a group of deer and other creatures.(Lu, Jude and a lot of others) Stared at them with hostility in her eyes. Started to be pushed away by the group, was frustrated and maddened by this, became defensive after she felt cornered and started snapping at whoever tried to push her away.
Ended up in combat with Kuwaka. Was faster but weaker than the lion, got a good few strikes. Bites, jabs with her horns, kicking,
smacking. Was pinned down but released when a stranger knocked Kuwaka off of her. Limped away quickly. Suffered fractures, deep scratches, bites and heavy bruising. Laid by a log, trying to clean her wounds. Soon became saddened by the fact she acted so aggressive and brought herself pain when she could've made friends instead as well as feeling humiliation. Covered in blood.
Limped back to the group to apologize, still covered in blood, having yet to clean herself and treat her wounds.
Was approached by Fletcher, given a sniff before they moved closer to Jude, she noticed the fawn earlier with the group that pushed her away before her fight. Limped towards a tree by the group and laid down,
letting her sore and battered body rest.
Seen a tall bull named Delacroix walk towards her. The bull was missing all organs, nothing but a skeleton with his pelt still hanging from his body. The bull laid beside her, she didn't know why when she looked revolting and was mean-spirited. Appreciated his kindness and his willingness to give her a chance when others didn't, quickly grew a fondness for Delacroix. Eventually fell asleep beside the large bull.
2017/07/14
Met Maggot. Walked up to the creature with no fear, barely has a care in her body anymore. Had what felt like a staring competition with Maggot as she stood in a defensive stance though intended no aggression. Exchanged sniffs with the stranger, didn't like when she was poked with a claw and bared her teeth with a snarl.
Eventually, the creature ended up leaving.
2017/07/07
Ran into Acantha by the pond. Doesn't know how exactly to approach others, just stared at the other doe and gave her a bellow. Started to well up with anxiety, feeling she was angering the other doe and moved away. Laid beside a tree and stayed there.
