((xD Don't even bother reading. I'm incredibly bored right now, and yet I don't even think I can finish it. |D ))

((EDIT: The last eight questions were ttly lame or just not applicable or interesting enough, so I kinda meshed together questions from another quiz. And now I still can't be arsed to finish it. xP))

What is the exact age of your character—years, months, days?
33 years old- born on December 23rd in 1976.

A place where your character is living or visiting begins to burn. The character has a few moments to escape. What does he/she grab—save?—before getting out of the fire and why?
He would most likely grab his jacket and fedora if he wasn’t already wearing them, because he insists on defining his style. Other than that, he may try to salvage a few bottles of whiskey and the more expensive scotch he owns, god forbid that goes to waste. If given the chance he would save his entire vinyl collection, but this would be impractical, so he may grab a few Johnny Cash or Lou Reed LP’s.

The character enters the room in which you are sitting. He/she sits down near you and places his or her left hand on the table or desk near you. Look at that hand. Describe it in as much detail as you can. Quickly. Go.
His fingernails are gnawed down and there are a few sores around the edges, so he obviously has a habit of chewing them. Across his four knuckles are the letters “c-a-r-d” tattooed in a blackletter typeface (his right hand spells out “w-i-l-d”, playing upon his renowned unpredictable and chaotic nature, not to mention a love for gambling and card games.) Looking up close, you’ll also notice the faint image of bones tattooed onto the back of his hand, imitating all of the bones of the human fingers, hand, and wrist. Also applying to his other hand, these tattoos glow brightly under blacklight, but without it they are only faintly visible. He wears two rings, one on his pointer finger which is aged silver and dull and the other on his middle finger which is black and polished. They are usually accompanied by others when he’s ready to knock someone out and wants to leave an imprint on their face.

This may be against your nature, but let’s at least pretend you’re a real snoop. You have access to a wallet, a pocketbook, or a purse belonging to your character. You have an opportunity to go through it, and—being a snoop—you seize the opportunity. What’s in the wallet, pocketbook, or purse? Take the stuff out. Describe it. If there’s lipstick, say what kind, color, what kind of container. Money? How much exactly and how is it organized? Keep going into the details of the contents. Is there something about which the character would be especially embarrassed? If so, what? If not, what do you make of that?
His wallet is composed of dark brown leather and looks rather old and ready to spilt at some edges, but this is excusable seeing as he’s had it since his father gave it to him more than twenty years ago. On the front there is an ‘M’ embossed into the leather, undoubtedly standing for his name. Inside, the first thing you’ll see is his license behind the clear slot- giving his name and details with a photograph taken years ago, showing that his hair used to be a much shorter and that he’s not an organ donor. Many police officers have inspected this card throughout the years, and his license is currently suspended, but that hardly stops him from driving. Aside from that, there is a wad of cash totaling somewhere around $80 in notes and no coins. A large majority of this will be spent on liquor. He keeps a few random business cards; record stores, liquor stores, and automotive repair to name a few. There’s also a few cards advertising the record store where he is employed, but it’s rare that he meets someone and the topic of workplaces comes up. Behind the cash are a few Trojans along with scraps of paper with phone numbers and miscellaneous female names penned onto them, which he has simply neglected to throw out.
While they don’t belong in a wallet, there are a few other things he carries on his person every day. He will always have a pack of Lucky Strike cigarettes in his left pocket alongside a metal Zippo, which is engraved on the front with a beaked Venetian mask, which seems to be his trademark. He is quite partial to this lighter as it has also been with him for a while.
In the interior pocket of his jacket, he has a silver flask also bearing the engraving of a mask and only about a quarter full of distilled whiskey.
Lastly, while it is highly illegal, he does keep a revolver with him at all times. If it’s not aimed at someone’s forehead, it’s tucked into his belt and under his shirt. The gun is a Smith & Wesson .44 magnum, a classic and rather expensive model, and it’s usually loaded with blanks. This indicates that while he tries to pull of the tough guy image, he might be SOL if he needs to use his gun and he has no live rounds.

You walk into a room in which your character is napping. Without waking the character up, you lean down, put your nose close to one side of your character’s neck—just below the ear—and sniff. Describe what you smell.
Whiskey.
He smells like a grungy bar at closing time- a strong bitter scent of distilled liquor. The faint smell of aged leather might mix in if he hasn’t drunk that much, and perhaps the hopeful tinge of whatever flavor of Axe body spray he doused himself in that morning.

Describe one meal or type of food your character really likes to eat.
He takes after Garfield on this one- he likes Italian foods and namely lasagna. Most anything of Italian origin he’ll eat without protest. This stems from two trips to Italy in his past, both of which he actually enjoyed despite being with his family. He’s horrible at cooking and most of his dates skip right past dinner and start at his apartment anyway, so it’s rare that he comes across the chance at some decent Italian.

Describe the social, political, and economic background of one of the character’s parents, one of the character’s siblings, one of the character’s friends, or one of the character’s rivals (defining “rival”—antagonist—in a way that makes most sense to you).
He hates his brother, he has no genuine friends, and he wouldn’t be able to list all of his rivals if he knew where to begin, so I’m left with his parents, specifically his father. Eiche Rineheart was a German-born and raised man from a wealthy family who established his own fortunes as well in the industry of contracting and consulting for large businesses. This allowed both him and his wife Lily to travel often, which they loved, but it also took an adverse affect on their family life. Eiche was closer to Masque as he grew up than anyone else, and while they weren’t the perfect father-son image, they did the best they could. It was about halfway through his teenage years when Masque simply refused to get along with his family anymore and his parents began to give up. Eiche spent more time away from home just to get away from the emotional wreck of his son.

Describe one scar—it can be a very tiny one—on your character’s body and how it was acquired.
There’s a scar running diagonally across his right palm, one of the more prominent ones he has.
It was acquired from a bar fight years ago in which his opponent was a much older and more experienced man who was wildly swinging a broken bottle at him, and it sliced through his hand as he tried to defend himself. It probably would have healed nicer if he had gone and had it sutured, but a lifelong hatred of doctors prevented that from happening.

Describe in detail one thing your character would enjoy reading or some kind of text your character would enjoy examining—a text that might exist within the text of your story.
He might only enjoy reading vinyl sleeves or classic car manuals. Maybe a book or two about musicians that he likes. He’s not much of a reader because it means he has to wear glasses.

Your character laughs at something. What is it? Exactly why does your character think this thing—joke, event, sight, whatever—is funny?
Masque hardly finds anything funny when he’s sober because that is when he is most unhappy. Alternatively, he finds even the stupidest things hilarious when he’s drunk. He doesn’t have many friends, and the ones he has won’t really go drinking with him, so he doesn’t have anyone to joke around with. He often finds humor in other people’s misfortunes.

You are invisible; your presence is unknown by your character. You are observing your character look into a mirror. Describe your observations.
He’s probably wondering if he can put off shaving for another day, or just reaffirming the implementation of attractiveness in his mind before hitting the bar.

“France.” Your character hears that word. What, if anything, comes to your character’s mind? Be as specific as you can.
He recalls the three times he’s been there, and how it was like torture. It was in Bordeaux that he once got in heaps of trouble for punching his brother and breaking his nose for no real reason. He recalled the food was awful, his parents were arguing (about him, mostly), and it was a trip loaded with boring museums and galleries. His mother was French and she would often speak in French, and his brother had learned the language and could speak it fluently. His ex-girlfriend and mother of his “bastard child” spoke a Creole version of French as well.
All in all, it brings bad connotations.

Describe your character's room or living space in detail.
He lives in a small apartment with a "friend" (who actually can't stand him), and his room is at the end of the hallway. The walls are red and there's one window against the far wall, which offers a lousy view of the street below, but it lets a lot of light in (it has cracks in it from when he threw his fist into it). Only the wall with the window is completely covered in gig posters, vinyl sleeves, photos/posters/images of his favorite musicians, vintage car ads, and miscellaneous other stuff. Other than that, there is nothing on the other walls. He keeps his room surprisingly clean, and there's only a few clothes on the hardwood floor. Stacked against one wall are over twenty wooden crates, each filled with vinyl records. In one corner are two guitars, one is a black 1957 Gibson Les Paul Custom (which he doesn't play, but it's a collector item) and the other is his cherry red 1960 Gibson EB-3 bass guitar, alongside an amplifier.
Against the opposite wall is his bed, with mismatched black and gray sheets, and a dark wooden dresser. There's also a small desk which is covered with random papers, two packs of Lucky Strikes, a stack of car drawings, and an empty Jack Daniel's bottle.

What does your character look for in the opposite sex? Describe his/her love life.
In short, he doesn't have one. He refuses to have long term relationships after a horrible history of them and he insists that if he were to have a girlfriend, she would probably be cheated on, ignored or mistreated. The only thing he looks for in women is willingness, and even that can be swayed with a little booze. He's also kind of a sex-addict. cB

Reveal something about your character that most others don't know and wouldn't expect.
He's a card shark, which most everyone knows, but he's also really talented with sleight-of-hand, card tricks and illusions. When he was a teenager, he spent a lot of time with a man who basically taught him all of it, along with gambling. But hardly anyone can persuade him to show them these days. xD
