Heyo~ I'm kinda new to TEF, but I thought it'd be fun to do a sort of 'beginning' for my deer, Saratei. xD Currently Saretei is only a default deer ;o; but I hope to change that xD If you're willing to help me customize her, lemme know~))
A dark striped hind paced in small circles, pawing at the ground and tossing her head in agitation. Her bulging belly was the cause, and the doe groaned, lowering her head so she could fold her legs and sink down, but about halfway she jerked up again, continuing her pacing until she stood still, rigid, as if ready to spring away at the slightest noise.
The hind eventually turned her head, lowering it to softly nudge the little bundle of dark, striped legs, all tangled up in each other. A small head rose, answering the hind's curious nuzzling with one of her own, before that tangle of limbs seemed to melt away as the fawn tucked her legs beneath her.
With a heave of effort, the small infant tried to get her legs beneath her to copy her mother and stand, and for a few seconds, she managed it. But when the fawn tried to step towards her mother to feed her new hunger, those long limbs folded again, sending the fawn tumbling back onto the ground.
This seemed to both puzzle and frustrate the little deer, who then rose again with a new vigor, standing with her legs spread and head up, ears pricked and at attention. Once more, she hesitantly raised a hoof to approach her mother, and with an unsteady gait that seemed like she would topple at any moment, the little doe made it to her mother's hind, where she began to eat with much eagerness.
The new mother watched her fawn feed, a soft look in her eyes as she nuzzled the fawn's dappled side. "Welcome to the world, my little one." She murmured softly, gaze tender as she looked upon her newborn daughter.
"Welcome to the forest, my Saratei..."
