I am a forgotten Daughter. Birthed into a tale woven of happiness, I am the dark thread that sullies the face of the tapestry.
Thus, I find myself here, alone, without companion in a place of what many call refuge.
My name is Darjeeling. And heartache becomes me, suits me, completes me--this is my past, present, and future.
I flourish in solitude. Though I seek out friendship, I find none, by the whims of chance. I am a specter in the forest, a wisp of apparition that appears to those who would not find me.
Track my invisible footprints, hear my song shadowed by the cacophony of the wood, dwindle on the edge of twilight, dance beneath the treetops--perhaps then feel my presence at your back, welcoming you and at the same time relinquishing myself to the enigmatic. Those who seek me are a comfort, those who find me are a blessing.
This is my heartsong and greatest plea; discover me and end my suffering.
Darjeeling will have her own tales to tell of her times in the forest. Though she is still a fawn, she has already seen her share of pain in the world.
At first, I thought of making her character timid and kindhearted, though this was not an accurate reflection of my own feelings. I love the lushness of this RPG, how it weaves its own tales and inspires new ones in one congruent motion. So Darjeeling became what people call me--a mystery wrapped in an enigma. Though her character deviates from me in the aspect that she considers herself utterly alone, her story is still reminiscent of past events in my own life.
