Once upon a time, in a land far away,
no one knows when, no one can say,
there was a great City, one so old,
full of knowledge, fame and gold.
Around the city, was a Forest very tall,
you couldn't see it's edge from the City's wall.
Stories were told and myths galore,
for an Endless Forest full of lore.
At the forest's edge there was a house,
too poor even for a hungry mouse.
A Family lived there, along with Nature,
living life as one big adventure.
One day, the tax collector came,
cruel, evil and a bit insane.
It was a day the Forest would not forget,
because a man's demands were not simply met.
The Family, all too poor,
could not pay taxes anymore,
their faces were all too sad,
but that only made the collector mad.
In chains the Family was bound,
their little house burned to the ground,
only their little Child was left,
who barely escaped his freedom's theft.
The Child wandered for days and nights,
guided only by the night sky's lights,
until exhaustion took it's toll,
but he was safe, far from the City's wall.
Having lived a life next to mother Nature,
he did not fear, despite his small stature.
As all turned blurry, he whispered wis wish,
to become one with Her, away from the Rich.
When the Child came to it's senses,
it felt a change into it's essence.
As a deer it rose, attuned to All,
with a symbol on it's head, as bright as it was tall.
Seeing All, Hearing All, Feeling All,
even Smelling and Tasting All,
it made it's new path clear.
It was to live, a new free life here.
