Drinkplaats

Wow, the Drinkplaats is so cool! I wish you could take your new animal forms with you as you left...but I guess that would make them lose their value. My favorite, I think, is the rabbit. It's just so nice and fat and plump and the animation is cool.

I had fun playing around with a new player today, too. The pictogram looked new and unusual, and of course the character was a fawn. We frolicked a bit at the rocks, then went to the Drinkplaats and had fun with a bunch of other deer.

Cool update--here's hoping there are many more to come!

Three brothers...

Well, I am still trying to find a permanent "look" for my deer, Lumino, but I haven't quite been able to find what I'm looking for yet...

In the meantime, I have decided to create some new deer to progress things a bit. I had the idea of creating three new fawns that are "brothers". They will all grow up, of course, but each will have a unique style all their own.

Maybe, once these three "children" find their styles, Lumino can find his.

So, I present to you three deer:
Lorne, Falle, and Mezzo

Look out for them in the forest. As always, I don't have a lot of time to play, and when I do it's usually for short periods of time. But as I play around with each of the accounts more, I'll end up deciding on traits that will influence how they look.

Meet......Sherlock!

Well, I'm very excited to introduce everyone to a brand new deer here in the forest!

Her name is Sherlock, and she is a friend of mine in real life. Her deer is just a wee fawn at the moment, but in time she will grow to be as tall and proud as the other deer that populate the forest. Today, Curia and I took her on a little tour of the forest. We had a lot of fun playing at the ruins, pond, and god stones, and we even did a little mushroom-circle transformation. (Sherlock learned what it's like to be a bat!)

If you see her in the forest or on the community site, please be welcoming towards her!

The First Sunday Solace Circle

Today we had our first Sunday Solace Circle. It was a really fun event and I'm really glad I decided to pull it together. I've enjoyed it very much and I can't wait for next week's.

Highlights of the event:
-Dancing near the pond
-Rolling in laughter almost constantly
-Playing on the bridge
-Failure at a Mexican Wave game Sticking out tongue
-Falling into the water repeatedly when trying to adjust my position on the bridge
-Hopping over the river
-Frolicking
-Running through the waterfall until we all turned red
-Enchanting one another
-Visiting the god stones
-Wandering the woods

It was, overall, lovely! Check the forums under the "Life" section for more information. Smiling

Enter Lumino...

Yesterday was my first day in the forest, in this beautiful virtual world that I am now a part of. It is SO cool being in here--it's like a whole new dimension to explore, like a painting in a museum that you can jump into and fully enjoy right away. The art itself is stunning and so varied, and the sounds are immersing. Right away, I feel not like a visitor to the world, but part of it. I have joined the community and now it is up to me to make friends and explore the ever-changing world around me.

It's funny how even though the features of the "game" are extremely limited, it is really fun to play, for hours on end. Just running around, interacting, absorbing and appreciating the atmosphere is a wonderful pass time on its own. Sharing spells and roars and dances and hops and rears and bows and whatever else with the other deer is an enlightening experience. The connection and communication without any words is a completely new experience for me--but I get more and more used to it all the time.

This is a place I will be coming back to many, many times. I hope our paths cross in that beautiful forest sometime soon!
