HISTORY//
- "Don't worry, it will be alright." I remember my mother and father saying to me as a red sun gleamed over a distant horizon, "We will only be gone a short while, and you are betrothed to Apollo, you'll be very busy in the up coming months to prepare." I saw in her eyes a heart wrenching pain as she said those words. And with a simple nod from both parents I watched them depart on an endless journey, of an exile I knew nothing about, hidden secretly and painstakingly from me since birth. Only now, only now as a maturing fawn do I know, they had sold out their souls and a few others, to an unholy deity just so I may live forever. Such sorcery was only committed and practiced by a few serpents in the area in which I once lived, and going willingly to them for anything was at the least the most unpleasant experience of a deers life.
I was still partially allowed in the herd, allowed to follow...I was deemed an abomination among the elders and sometimes treated as such. My hopes of ever being the mate to Apollo was shattered brutally the moment I had trotted near him. Small as they were, the short stubs of antlers did short work of my shoulder he slammed into, cursing the serpents deal and me to hell.
