H I S T O R Y: The earliest memory the owlet has was waking up in a small, sun-dappled thicket. She held no recollection of anything but one word: Makalu. She had no idea what it meant.

The owlet wandered the forest alone and scared for a day, avoiding the other huge beings nearby. She eventually came across a blueberry bush and cautiously tasted it. Though it wasn`t exactly prime to her, it settled her stomach for a bit.

Scared of accidently being stepped on by the other massive things in the forest, Makalu thought that climbing one of the tall brown objects (trees) around the forest would help her. It took most of the day and some of the night for her to climb to a low hanging branch. Exhausted, she soon fell asleep.

The next morning, the owlet woke up to realize that she had no idea how to get out the tree. That has when she spotted the others...

S I Z E: Small, a tiny bit larger than a 4.

Appearance: As she is half Arctic owl, Makalu`s appearance is largely based off of the latter. Currently, she is pure white with a few grayish brown feathers. As she gets older, she will eventually gain more gray brown feathers, but retain her main white color. Her wings seem to have the most of these gray brown feathers currently.

She appears to be quite fluffy- both cute, and a bit annoying during hot weather. Whether she will lose her fluff or not upon aging is currently a mystery.

Makalu`s eyes are a bright, sparkling blue- the color of the mid morning sky. She has a light brown "crest" of sorts, directly above her eyes, similar to a Great Horned Owl. This crest extends from her forehead to form an earlike structure on sides of her head. Being half deer, she also retains four legs like any other deer. Her legs are pure white, with very little dashes of back on very bottom. Her hooves are a light brown, the same color as her crest.

P E R S O N A L I T Y: A newborn owlet, Makalu`s personality isn`t too developed yet. She`s quite hyper, but seems to be able to restrain herself when needed. Because of her small size, she often feels a need to prove that she`s as important as everyone else. She possesses a bit of a short-lived bravado, where she attempts to look tough in front of other deer, only to realize her mistake a few seconds later. In reality, she actually quite timid unless provoked.

Makalu tends to be quite shy when first encoutered. So far in her short life, she has only been around other owl deer. She is far more likely to be open and trusting of owl deer then normal, different variations of deer. However, this can likely be corrected; any kind and fun deer has a good chance of gaining the little owlet`s trust.

Despite being a owl deer, Makalu is a bit scared at the thought of flying. Thoughts of being stuck up at a high height forever or becoming injuried while flying scare her. This is quite unusual for an owl deer, and likely stems from a past unknown to her- for now. At the same time, she is also intruiged by flight. It will probably take a friend or two to help her get over her slight fear.

While she does have somewhat of a backbone, when it comes to fighting, Makalu has no skill at all in fighting. She has never seen a fight in her short life. Her best bet in any possible future conflicts would probably be agility: Hopefully, she would be able to dodge her enemies attacks until they tire.

Being half deer and half owl, Makalu`s is an omnivore. While she has eaten berries, she likely has a preference for meat. However, her reaction to having to take another life to get a meal is currently unknown.

R E L A T I O NS:

Mabli: A fellow owlet, like herself. His hyper persona and extreme cuteness are hilarious to her. Likely to be the most open around him because of their age similarties.

Akhenaton: An older owl deer that she has just met. A bit frightened of him at first, but quickly warmed up to him. Intruiged by the owl deer. She and Mabli both hope to learn the art of flying from him.

R E C E N T L Y:

Current Thoughts: "I wonder if he can take us for a ride. Can he? Can he?!"

Mood: Excited~

11/17/12: Played with Mabli for a bit, then came across a large owl deer. Scared at first, but soon relaxed when it became clear that he was no harm. The deer introduced himself as Akhenaton. Mabli mentioned the possibly of him teaching them how to fly. A bit frightened at the thought, but also extremely interested, Makalu agreed.

Mental: 9/10: A bit nervous at the thought of flying.

Emotional: 10/10

Physical: 7/10. A little bit hungry, and still a little tired.
