I usually run TEF when drawing, crafting, or otherwise preoccupied so expect a level of inactivity on my part but please, do feel free to join me should you wish;
I love the company.
Thanks Ookami, though I've no idea what this will be yet. Likely just a place for me to post drabbles...it could also be an interaction blog for Teradeer if anyone is interested.
You know, I was curious if this was you or not. There is no link back to your main account or a bio, all I had to go off of was the account name. I had seen "Sinker" somewhere in your blog entries so it sort of clicked for me, that and the zombie pelt. Glad to know this is in fact Teradeer.
Hm, I could have sworn I made a blog on the Sinker account letting people know it was me, perhaps it got lost somehow. It is indeed Teradeer and I'm impressed you came to that conclusion from just a name and a pelt. Sinker was a character in some TEF fairytales I wrote quite a long time ago, but the account got taken over for my OOC instead lol.
No you're right. I'm surprised I didn't see that, checking the accounts recent blog entries and their tracks is normally the first thing I do if there no info on the main account page. That's my own silly mistake. - Ya, the fairytale writings is where I remember seeing the name. I guess Sinker isn't often used, or I don't see it much, so I put two and two together along with the pelt.
Sianna ventured many places, she was fearless in a sense, there was nothing she could lay her eyes on that would have her running for her life, or perhaps... only if one chased her. - Something smelt awful here... however she'd push on, eyes soon enough falling onto what seemed like a dead deer. A single hoof would poke at the body, "HAHA", she'd say, assuming the rotten corpse was dead, though unfazed by such things, clearly... she laughed at it.
Shamiya: Upon being poked, the corpse...does nothing. For a few moments there is only the chirping of birds overhead, the rustling of leaves in a breeze. Then the body gives a shudder and two grey eyes roll upwards to look at it's guest, dull and glassy, as through having just been woken from a pleasant nap. Seeming to ooze upwards a face rises, a gaping hole of a mouth stretches open in a somewhat comical yawn.
Continued to prod the corpse. In all her fun had forgotten about the wretched smell that wafted her nose, and the pesky chirping. Sianna would of course back up once she noticed movement... such things were impossible. "I must be going insane", she thinks to herself, ears perked forward and a single leg slightly uplifted and bent. Her eyes were locked on what was happening before her, nothing could divert her attention now. Her head would slant to the side once seeing its mouth, not quite sure what it was doing though, or if it was in fact even a mouth. "You're alive? You poor thing...". For a moment she thought it'd be best to put it out of its misery, but then again it didn't appear to be in any pain... or... she really did not know, maybe it was but unable to utter sounds of misery.
With what seems a colossal effort the corpse heaves itself to it's feet, popping the odd knee back into place. Taking a moment to shake the dirt from it's hide, the deer looks back to Sianna. It eyes her for a moment, appraising and then sweeps down on one knee in a flourishing bow...some of the chivalrous drama of the act ruined by another pop as a hip protests the sudden activity. For all it's morbid appearance, the creature doesn't seem to be in any pain and even seems happy to make your acquaintance.
Merely slants her head as she watches it bow, the pops heard and all. She wasn't for certain what she wanted to do with it... perhaps tip it over and laugh as it collapsed. It couldn't have been too difficult to accomplish. Sianna would shake the idea from her head, an elegant half-bow returned before eyes fixed themselves back onto the living dead deer. She would approach slowly; one step forward, stopping, then repeat.
The deer stands compliantly as Sianna approaches, glassy eyes watching her careful steps absentmindedly. Despite having been quite decomposed minutes ago, the form of the corpse seems to have, well, livened significantly. It's pelt was still ragged and it's legs still boney, but it seems more composed and thankfully less odorous. As if simply being awake has returned some sort of life to the remains.
The phoenix had taken note to its form appearing more steady now. Since it didn't appear hostile yet, she would continue to approach. She was curious, fascinated, perhaps a little infatuated at this point, she felt the need to be close to it, to touch it. Had it allowed her to, once she was close enough, Sianna would press her nose against it, most likely its face had it allowed her to do so!
On metal hooves the corpse saunters forwards towards her, reaching out it's open neck to sniff at her fur. Quite interested in Sianna's skull, it twists from side to side, investigating where the bone ends and the fur begins. Obviously the deer does not mind being close to others, and would not mind if Sianna made investigations of her own.
Allowed the sniffing and would return it, ears swiveling frantically. It smelt strange. Momentarily the tip of her mask would press onto its face, or rather tap it; sharp points wouldn't have done anymore damage to this already... decaying form, or so she thought. Despite it investigating she couldn't resist the urge to smell every angle of it, she would immediately bolt to its left, sniff, then do this everywhere else possible until satisfied. Once finished she'd idly stand there with a quirked head, half expecting it to return such behavior, or at the very least give her the deer equivalent of a hug; a very close nuzzle. "Hmm?", she hums questionably.
Sianna's excitement is a great source of amusement for the creature. The corners of its mouth tugging up in a grimace of a smile, its shoulders shaking with a mute chuckle. The occasional sharp bump does not seem to do any harm, or is simply ignored. Once the whirlwind of movement subsides the deer takes a moment to sniff and nibble delicately at the voluptuous feathers of Sianna's tail, its own stub waging like a puppy. At Sianna's inquisition it smiles coyly and, eyes sparkling playfully, mimics her tilt as if to say 'What ever could you want from me?'.
She would sigh as no nuzzle was given, only sniffing and nibbling at her beauteous tail plumes. With eyes cast on it... was it smiling? No... couldn't be, yet combined with those sparkling eyes, seeing passed that rickety body, rotting flesh, and no real mouth to determine if it actually was... it at least looked happy for something that shouldn't be moving. She decided to go in for the 'kill', of cute, by nuzzling it first. It was not in the least bit done shyly or cautiously, the deer would be drowned in them, she may have even gotten carried away by doing it roughly; lowered antlers, half-rearing, and pressing into it quite aggressively.
The deer seemed...perturbed, it was used to curiosity but not this onslaught of affection. Not entirely unpleasant, the sharp tines of her antlers and the insistent pushing became too much and quite suddenly the deer...puddled. Flesh bubbled and tendons wriggled as the creature became nothing more than a half-composed stain on the forest floor. Bones and two half lidded eyes peered up, flustered and timid from the fleshly puddle.
Sianna was enjoying herself, until of course the corpse was now where and what it should have been, collapsed, decayed, there before her. Beneath her mask was an expression of sadness yet paranoia, strangely she found it humorous at the same time. She would look around to see if anyone seen her kill it... or... - I hope no one seen that, she would think to herself, eyes now resting on the remains of the deer, a single hoof used to scoot any displaced remains closer to the bulk. The phoenix could see its half lidded eyes looking up at her, "Oops".
Seeing her apologetic, the puddle oozes towards Sianna's hooves, the familiar face raising up followed slowly by a body. Leathery and solid once more the creature sits, one eyebrow cocked curiously. It wonders why the sudden affection?
Watches it move closer and then reform, this thing was extremely awkward... but considering it could reform itself, she'd take a mental note of this for the future. She couldn't have been the only one that thought watching something so frail collapse was funny, even if only slightly for some. - Sianna was in fact warming up to the corpse. It may have not talked, it may have been fragile and looked sickly, but it didn't seem to mind her presence yet. The fact that it didn't talk, or so she thought as it hadn't yet, was a good thing as it could not bark awful words at her. She could handle insults, but even for her, this would have made for a nice change. - So long as she was more gentle it may return a look, or touch of fascination, infatuation, a fascination and infatuation that she formed for this weak yet peaceful deer so rapidly. That is all it was about for the phoenix, love, unless one destroyed such a relationship, though she figured those who were close enough were grateful for such affections. - Sianna would press gently this time into it, as she didn't want it to collapse yet again, not now anyways. "Good, you're all better".
(Hope you've read her bio, otherwise this may just come off as awkward to you, lol).
Nodding in agreement the deer gave a cautionary smile. Invitingly it tapped the grass at its side. There was a hard, appraising quality to its glassy grey eyes. It felt doubt, cynical in the face of such extravagant and instantaneous affection. Still, the creature was welcoming and that hardness was but a sliver in an otherwise welcoming and warm face.
Thank you for your company! I had a wonderful time and don't feel bad; I enjoyed your stay, however brief. I will be sure to keep an eye out for that pictogram from now on. C:
