TEF on a Mac using WineBottler?

Has anyone out there tried this with any success?

I get the sleeping deer loading screen but it progresses no further.

Alternative question: Anyone running TEF on a mac using something similar or an emulator?

Just curious!

I haven't tried this yet,but

I haven't tried this yet,but suggested it to someone who uses Mac systems and wanted to try TEF-
Set up virtual box, and use a VM with say windows 7 OS.

VMs are easy to set up with a little practice.

downsides are- you can get preset VMs with paid software- the free ones require you to install an OS- which means if you dont have a valid registered windows version or use the product key from something else, sometimes you get the MS nag saying " this version of windows isnt valid" etc.

and also some VMs can seem a bit laggy or unstable.

Its worth a try though id be curious to see what it runs like.

i've tried in the past, but

i've tried in the past, but the winebottler refused to allow me to connect to the internet. :\
it sucks

The thing with VMs like you

The thing with VMs like you say is their instability and lag when it comes to games. TEF is resource a heavy thing and I know it will just fall over /:

Ah interesting that it wouldn't allow you to connect to the internet Honemi, I wonder if something similar was happening to mine. I had to crash my laptop because it got frozen on the black screen with the sleeping deer you're only meant to see momentarily.

It was still worth the ask, nevermind! I still have a windows 7 PC so it's not like I can't play at all, I was just curious if I could play from the comfort of... anywhere LOL

Thanks for replying guys c:
