Seeking Comfort

I have a perfectly good tablet that I like using. So why the heck did I reach for the mouse??
The main image was done completely with a mouse. The small image was done partway through as a separate picture (using my tablet this time) since I didn't know which angle I liked better. Both were challenging in different ways. And no, not because of using the mouse on one. I had better control than I thought I would actually. XD In the end, I liked the one you see bigger better, so I finished it up, still sticking with the mouse to see if I could.

Now for what's happening here...
Toukan got injured fending off an attacker, so his legs are scratched up, there's a gash on his side, and his ribs are killing him from being rammed into head-on. Breathing will be painful for awhile.

@Paz: Darker? It seems dark enough on my screen. Is your monitor brighter than mine perhaps? (Mine doesn't get any brighter.)

@anyone reading: I think I'll have him able to move around normally in about a week, but he'll be sore for a little while after that. Having him down too long wouldn't be fun.
