Specific pawed at the ground gently, trying to look for more onions, "Ugh, I absolutely despise the smell of these...things!!!" she snarled pulling out the last onion with her jaws. Throwing it back behind her where a big stack of onions lay in a sled-type storage. Sneezing from the rank smell of onion she grabbed the rope attached to the sled and started walking through the forest. A black wolf with red eyes, and unusual markings was following her. Specific turned around, and grabbed an onion and lashed it at the wolf, "OWEE!!! That hurt!" "Well then stop following me kiz!" "But sis... I don't want any harm to come to you..." Kizukazay whined as he picked up the union and put it back in the cart. "You know you aren't suppose to be going through the woods alone, you need a bodyguard!" he said in a low toned voice, then stood up, lifted his head high, tail going up. Specific just rolled her eyes and grabbed the rope again continuing on her small journey back to the packlands. Kizukazay continued following her, and then wagged his tail as a cream wolf ran up to them, with an annoyed look on her face. “Jeeze… It took you long enough to get those onions out of Enaris’ garden,” She growled, “Are you coming she said?” already have turned around. Kizukazay flattened his ears down, drooped his tail, hanged his head down and followed her.

A loud howl ran across the sky, along with others soon following. Specific was sitting next to Kizukazay howling with him. A dark grey wolf with a golden mane was standing in the middle of a circle, the surrounders? More wolves. Specific spoke in a loud clear voice after the pack was done howling, looking over to the dark grey wolf, “Enari, what do you want with these onions?” she said flicking her tail in the direction of the onion cart beside her. Kizukazay said in a harsh voice, “It’s L-E-A-D-E-R not Enari!” he snarled. Enari replied, “Mm… I honestly just wanted to keep you two from getting into trouble, you may do whatever you wish with them.” Specific was outraged! She grabbed an onion and hit the leader in the head with it, practically tossing it to him. Kizukazay leaped sideways, “WHAT’S THE MATTER WITH YOU WOMAN YOU HAVE ISSUES!!!!” he barked frantically. Enari trying to keep himself from laughing lifted his tail up and snarled. Specific looked straight at him fearlessly, and rose up from her sitting position ready to fight. A white female wolf came up beside Enari and licked him on the cheek. “Calm down hun, they’re just kids.” She said in a gentle voice, wagging her tail. This white wolf had a friendly scent on her, seemingly calm and gentle at most times, yet ready to strike when in a fight. Enari settled down, but his tail was still up. “I know Merolin, but my darling, she threw an onion at me.” He whimpered. The packmates laughed a little, Enari noticing they were still at a pack meeting snapped out of his softy moment and stood more firm like. “Packmates, this is a meeting not a comedy show, Specific, you will replant all those onions tomorrow because of your disrespectfulness to me. As for you Kizukazay, you will tag along with Specific and protect her.” Kizukazay whimpered, “But why do *I* have to protect her? She can certainly protect herself!” Specific looked down to the ground and sighed. Enari looked back up to the pack, a little embarrassed of what happened. “I should let you all know, earlier this morning, Donye and Diriva found unfamiliar scents and pawprints near the cave of bats,” Two identical light brown male wolves looked at each other then back at the alpha. “Now I should all remind you not to go in there yet, it has not been explored, and since we have only been living here for a year now… We may not be the only ones who have claimed this territory….”

*~Chapter Two~*

The pack members looked at eachother with dumbfounded faces. Specific looked over to her brother and tackled him while Enari continued talking, “Although they don’t seem to have attacked us yet it seems as if they have gotten suddenly more active, therefore I want us to keep our guard u-“ Enari paused for a moment and flattened his ears with a annoyed face, “SPECIFIC KNOCK IT OFF!” he yelled at Specific whom had been sitting on her brother, she put her ears back and whimpered, “Yes father…” and got off Kizukazay. “Now anywhom, we shall have our gaurds up!” he growled, walking away into a small cave. Merolin perked her ears up, “Donye, Doriva you will guard tonight.” She said in a soft yet firm voice. “Extia, Kizukaze, Specific, go to bed.” Soon taking the same route as her husband had. Specific and Kizukazay went past the small cave that their parents were in and went into a hole in a gigantic oak. While Donye and Diriva went into an underground burrow. “Kizukazay…?” Specific whispered gently. “Yea?” “Do you think this will be our home forever?” “Maybe.” “Will we be together forever? As brother and sister?” “Of course! And even if we get split up… I will come and find you, no matter how long it takes.” “Okay!” “Goodnight.” “Good night.”

The twittering of blue jays woke up the pack. Specific stretched and shook, walking out of the tree like den, all the pack was out there. “Sleepyhead!” Donye chuckled. Enari yawned and then woke up a little, “Okay you two… Time for onion planting.” “Do we haveeeee to?!” Specific whined. “Mhm” Merolin agreed. “Fine fine…” a blue jay sang. All the wolves looked up to the bird on the oak tree, “Did that bird just…. Talk?” Doriva asked, tilting his head a little. The blue jay flew off, along with another and then another. “Three bluejays…? Together?” Enari said in a curious voice. “Today is just one of those odd days.” Merolin giggled, wagging her tail.

Specific walked through the misty forest, while Kizukazay followed her, acting as if he were a spy. “Warrior Kizukazay, in out, in out, little sis’ just breathed, she must be up to something… I’ll track her and see what she is up to, in out, in out.” Kizukazay whispered, acting as if he were a spy. Specific laughed a little. The two arrived at the patch they were at before, sighing specific started digging holes while Kizukazay sat down and watched. An hour later Kizukazay layed down, specific already half done with digging the holes. Then another hour Kizukazay fell asleep, as Specific started putting the onions back in, growling at having to touch them. It was suddenly silent in the forest, the birds stopped chirping and the wind was soon silent. Specific stopped to rest, wondering why it was so oddly silent, she didn’t want to wake her brother up. Bringing her attention to one of the trees, she saw a bat fly by, “bats? This late in the morning?” she whispered silently to herself. Soon hearing footsteps and the flap of wings, she got a little scared, “Kiz? Kiz?!” she whispered worriedly, he wasn’t waking up, she looked up to the trees and saw that all the birds were asleep as well, she gasped, what was happening?! Soon she saw in the distance a huge wolf coming towards her, she looked at Kizukazay and then frantically started nudging him, “Kiz! Kiz! Kizukazay!” she said frantically looking over to the other wolf… It was gone? Soon looking around it was silent, too silent! Although she seemed to calm down a bit, she must have been imagining things, needed to finish putting the onions away anyways, kiz was probably having one of those dreams. But the birds were still asleep…? Turning around she was soon nose to nose with a huge black wolf, with dark red eyes. Backing up and starting to panic, she looked over to her brother, the dark wolf snickered. Showing his fang, “KIZ! BROTHER!!!! HELP!” she screamed. The dark wolf unfolded huge bat like wings, and lept at her, paralyzed in fear, she screamed again. But suddenly another wolf rammed the bigger one, scrambling back it flew off. It was Enari, he had saved her. Enari picked up Kizukazay, “Go! GO! RUN!” he snarled, “I can’t carry both of you!” she darted off, Enari soon following her. Both of them heading to where the rest of the pack was, but then everything blacked out, hearing snarls everything soon faded.

Chapter 3

Specific woke up, and the smell of blood filled her nostrils. Quickly getting up, she saw Enari sitting near Kizukazay, whom was awake. “Well, well, well,” Kizukazay got up and stretched, “Finally you woke up!” “…What happened?” Specific asked, calming down a bit. Enari got up, noticing that he had blood on him, but it didn’t seem like all of it smelled like his blood. “….We were attacked, by Badire wolves. One tried to pick you up and carry you away, but my brother tackled him back to the ground.” “Brother?” Specific stared at him, a bit confused. “You have a brother?” “Yes, I do. He is also a Badire wolf, but he isn’t specifi-… he isn’t like the ones that attacked you. He eats animals, not other wolves blood.” Specifics ears layed back, “they were going to eat me?!” she said, clearly terrified. Kizukazay said looking blankly at her, “We don’t know?” Specific looked around, “Dad, where are we?” “At Creek Point.” “Where are the others?” “They are further in the cave.” Enari said, slowly getting up to venture deeper into the cave, with Kizukazay soon following. Specific got up immediately as Kizukazay did and followed him, not wanting to be left alone. Travelling deeper into the cave, it got darker and darker and darker, until a white glow became visible, as they got closer the things around her got a bit brighter. Enari, Kizukazay, and Specific were soon in a room full of glowing white crystals, light coming from them reflecting off the walls. It was moist in there, Specific brought her attention to a deep pond in the middle of the room, it seemed as if it never ended… A flutter of wings soon snapped her out of her daze, the sound came from the wings of a gigantic wolf, this must be Enaris brother! “Qari, I would like you to meet my daughter, Specific.” Qari stared as Specific a little amazed at her different colors, “The mutt of the litter I assume?” Specific snarled, baring her fangs and spreading out her wings, “Oh! My apologies milady, I meant no offense.” Soon calming down she sat next to Kizukazay watching this wolf, that looked like a total opposite of her. Or at least his wings did… Qari got up and padded over to Specific, “What a sweet scent, she smells like a daisy. No wonder Wreckage was trying to get her.” Kizukazay perked his ears up, “Wreckage? Was that the wolf that grabbed my sister? If so… If so, tell me where he is at and I will rip him to shreds!!!” Kizukazay growled, lifting his tail up. “Woah there kid, that’s the leader of the Swayza pack you’re talking about there.” “Swayza?” Specific asked, a bit confused. “Mhm, they live in that cave of bats, I bet the wolves that directed you here didn’t tell you about that Ay? No matter, I will lead you to a safer place.” Qari said, flicking his tail.

Specific got up, “But aren’t we safe here?” “Nay, they Badires will track your scent down.” Enari took a step towards his brother, “So… my daughter will never be safe from them now?” Donye and Diriva looked worriedly to their sister, then back at Qari. “Of course she will be safe, as long as she is protected.” Qari folded his wings and hooked them onto each other, looking as if he were wearing a black cape, then settled down again. “Of course we will have to be protecting her twenty-four seven. But we could always make a compromise with them…” Donye perked his ears up, “We could give them a months supply of daisies?” Doriva flicked at Donye with his tail, making him realize his question was a bit stupid to ask. “What do they want?” Specific asked, a bit worried it could be something they couldn’t get. Qari glanced at Enari, then to Specific, “I honestly don’t know… We could also lead you all to a place far away from here, I don’t think the swayzas would go far from their home all for just a wolf. They aren’t really nomads…” pausing Qari took a deep breath. “The swayzi badires are trained to fight, with homeland advantage, they fight well in the dark. Using their wings as weapons more than flying they like to walk instead of fly, and since they aren’t really trained nor use their wings much… Making it to were they’re not very good flyers, and to where they cannot fly for long amounts of time. And really would they risk working that much just for one wolf? That isn’t even a badire?” Enari nodded his head.

Chapter 4

The sound of crows awoke the pack. Kizukazay was the first to awaken, already outside of the cave talking with Qari. Specific watched the two, not being able to hear what they were saying, but Qari occasionally flapped his wings, then snorted. The sun rising behind the two they started back towards the cave, Kizukazay ran at Specific and leaped on her. Making her fall to the ground, as the two kept on roughhousing with each other Qari got into a conversation with Enari. “So, are we going to head to the Tear falls tomorrow?” Enari asked. Qari flapped his wings again, a bit eager to stretch them. “Ye, it will be a long journey, but I think we can make it. I bet the swayzas are already on the hunt for her… Maybe we should head out today?” Merolin padded up towards the two, “Today…?” she said her ears going back. “Ye, the swayzas are probably waiting at your camp for you, so it wouldn’t be smart going back there.” Merolin sighed, “So when will we head out…?” “As soon as possible hopefully, I can’t wait to see new places!” Doriva was already standing next to Merolin, with Donye soon following. Enari lifted his tail up, “Then we will go now!” Qari looked at the two with a bit of a dumbfounded face, “Ay, ay, hold your horses there. Are we really even prepared?” “We’re wolves, all we need is each other, food and water.” “Alright then, let’s go. Follow me!” Qari thrust his wings out, and glided down the small cliff. Enari barked at Specific and Kizukazay, whom were still roughhousing around, “Come on! We’re leaving!” “Where?” Specific tilted her head as Kizukazay got up and started heading down the cliff with the others. Enari took a deep breath, “Come on, I’ll explain on the way.” he said soon taking the same route as Kizukazay.” Specific stretched out her wings, and did the same thing as Qari had done. And at that moment, the small pack started on a long journey, not even knowing they were heading towards their dooms- Tear Falls…

About 45 minutes later, of silence, Enari spoke up, “We are traveling towards Tear Falls, Qari said this will be the safest place from the Swayza pack. Don’t worry, you’ll be safe as long as we have say in it.” “What about our home?” “If we go back there… well, I bet the swayzas have already taken over that area, just waiting for you to come back. You must never go back there! Any of you!” Enari growled, making sure they all understood. Everyone nodded their heads. Qari took to the skies with a couple flaps of his wings, Specific watched him. Those wings he had were so different from hers… Soon everyone heard a THUD, Specific had ran into a tree. “Idiot…” Kizukazay whispered, chuckling a bit. The pack soon reached a darker part of the forest, more trees. “The sun can’t reach here… If the badires are following us, now would be the best time for them to attack, so keep your gaurds up.” Qari cooed, landing and wrapping his wings around him like a cape. “Qari, you stay behind us, since your eyes are better in the dark you can spot any badires coming our way. I’ll lead us out of the forest, stay close!” After Enari had spoken this, the pack lined up, Enari, Merolin, Specific, Kizukazay, Donye, Doriva, and Qari in order they walked through the forest.

Chapter 5

Three hours later the canines settled down for a rest, “We’re halfway through the forest, don’t worry, about three more hours and we’ll be out alright?” Qari said, a bit annoyed at the mist clamping onto his wings. “Do you feel the mist on your wings Qari?” Specific asked, half amazed, half curious. “Yeah, it tickles I guess you could say.” He said, mouth slightly open, showing his large fangs. Specific stared at him a moment, tilting her head, “Tickles?” she repeated. “Yeah, you don’t know what tickle means?” he asked, a bit amazed. “No” “Well then, I’ll show you!” He said, worrying Specific a bit, her ears layed down to her head. Qari got up and stood above her like as if he were a tower, scanning over her body, looking for a ticklish spot. He stretched out his left wing, the pack watched him as he lightly brushed his wing over her ear. Specific chuckled, and Qari smiled, returning to his spot sitting down. “I understand now!” she said, her ears up as she layed down as well. Kizukazay got up and layed down next to her, putting his head on hers they both fell asleep as twilight came. The rest of the pack soon after, Qari got up to go hunt, quarter of a mile away from the pack he found a deer, leaping onto it he easily took it down, trapping it with his wings so it couldn’t get away. The sound of a screaming deer and snarls filled the area he was in, after taking down the deer he rested a bit. But a shadow soon attracted his attention, a maroon badire emerged from the darkness, snarling.

Specific awoke to Kizukazay moving, hearing a small commotion far off, she got up slowly, making sure not to wake Kiz, he wasn’t a light sleeper. Sneeking off she saw that Qari wasn’t in the area, following his scent the commotion was soon turned to snarls as she soon saw two forms fighting. Her ears perked up, *That must be Qari!* She though running towards the two, *No… no!* Qari was on the ground, unconscious. The two forms she saw fighting were strangers, the deer was inbetween them, but they both looked at her and stopped fighting. Glancing over to Qari and then back to the two she walked over to him and nudged him. “She ain’t scared of us?” the maroon badire asked the other, “Too bad.” The other one growled diving at her, Specific stretched out her feathery wings and opened her mouth, grabbing the badire by the mouth and flinging it into a tree. “Who’s next?” she growled, making sure to stretch out her wings and show her fangs, “Take the deer and leave… Or ELSE.” She snarled, outraged. The badire ignored her words, and soon lunged at her. She flung herself at him, his fangs clamping around her neck, perfect, she used her whole body, to slam the badire into a nearby tree! Immediately letting go, he was unconscious, the maroon one got up and fled. Specific started dragging Qari through the forest, leaving the deer. He was too big for her to carry, it would take at least an hour before she got back to the pack, but by now the pack would be awake and meet them halfway. Morning mist clamping onto her and her wings, the smell of blood attracted many animals, foxes, raccoons, and rats. Both Specific, and Qari were bleeding, ten minutes later Kizukazay and the rest of the pack were plunging through the forest towards them, “What happened?!” Merolin whined as she caught up to Kiz, who was already by Specifics side, Enari, Donye, and Doriva soon following. Specific explained what happened and the pack was shocked to hear it. “Why Qari first then you?” “I think they were attracted by the deers blood, and not yours.” Specific gently dropped Qari then folded his wings to his side. Enari walked up to Qari and pushed down on Qaris muzzle with his paw. Waking Qari up, after Qari explained why the badires were there, stating that Specifics theory was true, he licked his wounds clean and the pack started traveling again. Morning mist clamping onto the canines fur.

Another 3 hours went by, and the pack emerged from the gloomy, yet interesting forest. Qari spoke up, “Now we must get past this field, follow the river and then we will be there!” Kizukazay wagged his tail, “Water!” the pack soon noticed that they were hungry, “I tried hunting… But eh.. Elk live here, we can hunt for one.” Kizukazay wagged his tail as Qari took flight, Specific mimicked and followed. Doriva pulled Donyes ear and the two started rough housing, playful snarls and whines filled the air. Kizukazay saw a river far off, “Do we have to wait for them to come back? Can’t we just… go and get a drink and come back?” he whimpered, laying down. Enari nuzzled Merolin, Merolin was asleep, how odd. The sound and scent of horses soon appeared, Enari looked behind him and violently nudged Merolin waking her up, “Run! Humans!” Donye and Doriva stopped rough housing and started running towards the river, Enari and Merolin soon following. Kizukazay glanced back and saw two grey dogs running towards him, teeth bared, tails up and running at full speed. Kizukazay fled after Enari, towards the river. Donye, Doriva, and Kizukazay had never seen humans before, but heard of heart wrenching stories of what they caused. Sounds of dogs barking, and horses galloping after them, but a scream emerged from behind them, Qari had knocked all three horses down, making the greyhounds turn around and run after them.

To be continued....
