"How did That get there?" TEF Theories thing

Have you ever looked at a Landmark in the forest and asked yourself, "how did THAT get there??"

Well, I'm sure a lot of people have tried to make up stories of how things got there. And there's nowhere to put them. So I made a thread. YOU'RE WELCOME CONSPIRACY THEORISTS (nothing against those guys I just thought it was funny-)

Anyway, pick one of the landmarks and make up a fantastical story about how it happened! You can make it a Legend/Lore, a legitimate story, a poem or WHATEVER! Let's hear the stories guys!

I'm excited to see what you guys come up with ^3^

Since there are

Since there are apparently-human-built things in the Forest, but this seems to be a place unmolested by the evils of man, I have developed the theory that The Endless Forest is actually in a post-apocalyptic setting, that humans have gone extinct long ago, and that the animals have evolved into more sophisticated, intelligent, and "magical" versions of what they used to be. I was actually thinking about this theory just the other day and considering writing a story about it, but I'm not quite sure where to begin. Maybe reading some other theories in this thread will inspire me to develop my own story. o3o

Durring some am biogenesis

Durring some am biogenesis events, the passing shadow of an airplane and airplane sound effects will be seen/heard. There are also human figures (the old lady from 'The Graveyard' and the girl in which from 'The Path', two other Tale of Tales games) that are seen.

Hmm... the airplanes are alien? and the people are ghosts? xP

Now I'm just being goofy, I know, but I still like the post-apocalyptic theory, and, even if it isn't technically correct for this game, I may write a story based on it anyway. lawl

Perhaps that could be a new section to the forest that they add in someday. A scorched waste just at the borders of the forest.

Or would that detract too far from the forest's mood?

I actually think that adding

I actually think that adding a portion like that might actually enhance the mood. Maybe in a different way, but I feel like it'd add a sense of reality to the dream world that the deer live in, and maybe add a unique feeling of foreboding that may, in fact, help create an even more unique mood.

I doubt it would be an addition, but that would make a really awesome story / picture / comic.
Wasteland.

Dashing -
An addition like that is really awesome to ponder, but reality is harsh enough. I think expanding on this little peaceful dream world would enhance it even more. Like a beach with white sands and little animated fish, or some awesome crystal cave. Aurora Borealis atmosphere.

It's a shame the creators

It's a shame the creators don't put much more into this game. I know they love it and I am sure they have much more on their plates, but just a little more... I guess we're expecting those new pelts around Mardi Gras though, aren't we? So perhaps that's all we can ask for.

I wish the world was larger, certainly. Any map additions at all would be nice.

I had this exact discussion

I had this exact discussion with a few people on here. The problem was that I underestimated what exactly is needed to fund an overhaul to support more players and newer additions. Thousands of dollars, apparently, and the servers are barely being funded as it is.
So this game will be on hold for a while, but Im becoming okay with this slowly.
Its still a wonderful game.

I have absolutely no idea about the pelts. But I will be so stoked if they actually implement them!!

lol back on topic) so me being a newbie (woot) I haven't seen the planes but just reading about them above... its chilling. the forest could be really creepy without the other deer, you know like all alone. the forest and every thing is beautiful and lovely don't get me wrong I love it but, like I can feel? like There's a under tone of foreboding. and to simple things down we are deer with faces resembling humans yet not. hmmm im interested in this topic now

ifeelblind: You might like exploring the forest without connecting to the server! I've done it several times and it's a totally different feeling. Also good for taking screenshots because you have a higher frame-rate and nobody to get in the way.

yup it only happened a few times but its pretty creepy. I do love this forest though. might draw something for the waste land idea above.
