Question about images...

Okay, I'm trying to get some transparent images on the site, after fighting with GIMP to get the right file for transparencies. Now, on photobucket, they're transparent, but when I stick them in tags and try to put them up here, they turn out white. Does anyone know how to get rid of this, please? :3

... hmmm :/... Well... the only thing I can think of is maybe if it's to large for the site, it's being downsized which screws with the transparency? Does the transparency work on other websites besides photobucket? Like on the forum or something?
