A golden, tainted fae sings a melody amongst herself...

To my angel in blue
In a Plume of desire

My little flower...my sweetest flower fae, for whom I have fallen so deeply and forever...I..I am sorry.

My visions have been blurred...for the forest within which I dwell...has been dulled. The light of hope that always shined from up above has simmered to a full, aching blight upon this land. All has fallen, all hope is gone, and so has my footstep...it fades, just as I speak...

I fade...as my sister fades...for we are the two who have wandered deep into the forest realms and picked out their secrets. Vein is another type;; he is not all stag, and therefore is not all cursed.

And little Nurra shivers in the cold...

We don't wander much anymore...we don't have much reason to...and our ground is weak and cold before us...and sweet fae, how it pains me to say it...

You must let me go...

We are strangers, you and I...never met flesh to flesh, never knelt to the same God...never shared a breath between us and one as a whole...

A soft breeze whispers into the forest...

It is a melody I taught the flowers...they play it for you with their little magic, these flowers near the golden mushroom circle...

The fae shakes her head furiously, sending teardrops flying.
You mustn't say never... B-because, it might take years, but someday... Someday... I-I...

I'll keep waiting, Taint... I'll be here, waiting for you, and it doesn't matter how long it takes, because I'll be here, waiting to f-feel your heartbeat beside m-mine... waiting to kiss you...

And she is choking now, as if the tears stream down her throat as well.

Her knees buckle, and she falls, falls, falls... Sobbing upon the ground, the world a whirl of shock and loss. There lies a fae who will not smile again for a long while.
