Please stop the pictogram adoptions

We are getting too many requests from people giving and receiving pictograms. We don't have time to fulfill all of them. We will do our best to get to through the requests we have already received. But please stop sending these. Our time is better spent making more things for the game than swapping around pictograms.

I realize that this functionality could be automated. But as I don't consider pictogram swapping to be part of the play experience as we see it, again I'd rather program something that is instead.

I've only ever given away 1

I've only ever given away 1 Picto, and I only gave away the Username/Password. I can understand the need to change it to some people but I didn't know it was getting this bad.

Sorry that there has been so much trouble with this, I hope this clears up for you guys and I wonder what you guys are working on now for the game. *crosses fingers for more Spells to cast* >>

I'm so glad this was

I'm so glad this was mentioned and is now banned. It was really bothering me. When people care that much about pictograms it does come off as very shallow and takes away from the play experience.

Pickles: 'Bump' means that they have bumped the blog back to the top of the Recent Posts page. Commenting on any blog will do this, but saying 'bump' is just a way of expressing that the poster thinks that the blog is relevant and deserves more attention.

I see this get bumped up an awful lot despite the fact that all the new 'adoption' threads have specifically stated not to contact m&a about password or name changes.
It makes me wonder if people just bump when they see the threads and don't bother reading them.

Another Reason they don't endorse picto-trading:

Personally, I dislike feeling as though the social history of the game i've played, the thing i've loved, has been whipped out and muddled around completely, behind me. Its also sad not to be able to trust my gut or fuzzy warm memory about deer i come across, who's pictos i've seen previously in the forest, knowing they could be some entirely different user Sad

Absolutely I can understand and can empathize on some levels with people who people want these pictograms, but still...
Also I can understand and can empathize on some levels with people who want to log thousand year old trees in Tasmania. But still. (Its a different and extreme example, i know, but for me theres a faint echo)
