The origin Heavy swirling mist, that was the first thing she called back together with the scent of wet forest air. Then there was the ground she felt below her hooves as she was walking on it, walking still onward. Pale thin silhouettes passing her around - guessed trunks of trees. Suddenly, the sound, the feeling. So different, she stood on stone. And the mist, it started to dissolve slowly, revealing it all, whole this Endless Forest. Recognizing She was sure she had never been here before, still she had a feeling of knowing everything here. All the places, so familiar like being seen for the thousandth time. But the faces, they were new. The weather was beautiful, ideal for long walks through the forest. Or for having a nap as well. She lay down and soon she fell asleep. Restless sleep And than this thing happened Nothing, nothing ever after Just blank nothingness Nothing, nothing Non-existence Emptyness Pointless calming Awakening in misty forest, cold was air and so her mind Such dreadful nightmare made her now instinctively run Heavy rain and sounds of thunder, storm invoking deer On the large stones, to where the aimless run her lead "You're afraid? Please let me help!" said calming voice Then chanted a spell that caused her drowse Sending her back to restless sleep Hurting her deep Carpe diem Enjoying every while of her next day Roaring, dancing, runs and play Not thinking where to lay Hoping she could stay Possibility The night approached and so did the weariness And her fear grew, fear of falling asleep But than she sensed that deer Laying on bridge She in the ditch Felt stronger with him near Cheered up and in his dream she leaped "Just don't wake up." says she, the uninvited guest Continually And so the Foxbrow worried no more As long as deer sleep and dream She hides there from her sore Lurking their fantasy realm For fear of feeling the cold emptyness Or desire of being somewhere else But what if she just likes the way Being awake at night like by day |
