At Bear's urgency the stag bounded to the spot he told him to go, snagging a leaf covered bundle and bounding back to him.
"These it?" he asked after he set the bundle down in front of him.
Akhen nodded, keeping his eyes on Bear as he settled down in front of him. He wanted to speak, but didn't want to bother him at the same time. He simply waited for Bear to come back to him, to start talking. He didn't know what was wrong, but he hoped he could help, whatever it was.
"Oh..." he replied quietly, "I guess old age isn't very kind..." he assumed that was an understatement. He could only imagine how kind old age really was.
"Over?" Akhenaton repeated, his mind trying to click the pieces together, "You mean...death. You're going to die?" his wings twitched as he stared at the male, unable to really believe that. Bear had just come back...how could his time be up so soon?
The stag blinked, considering a lot of rebuttals, but allowed none of them to leave his tongue.
He simply bowed his head, "I understand," he replied quietly, "Know I will miss your company though. Aria, no doubt, will miss you too."
His head bobbed in a nod. He could only imagine how Aria would take it. Not very well. She had about broke down when Akhen had talked about the "What ifs" considering his own mortality. He learned to just avoid the subject altogether.
"I hope...I hope you get to meet our children before you pass." he murmured, bringing his head up to look at the other male.
So I'm thinking of logging in around 11 am mountain time with Aria then the fawns can be in at that time. Still need to talk to the others though for a time.

I think I died there for a second. The cute...oh my god. I love him. The fluff, the little fluff tuft on top of his head...those giant eyes. Precious. These two make such cute babies...not sure if that's part player bias or not. Still adorable either way.
xD Akhen's going to be happy and worried about having a son. Well...he's worried anyway. But it's more of the father/ son relationship he's worried about.
Speaking of babies. I doodled up little puff balls I saw for Noa and Kaye. Mostly because I liked coloring in the eyes. And Noa was so gosh darn cute as a baby.
Lol. Yes, we'll do that. If they don't have one... They're finding it. Because...I fell in love with a puffball baby now. Granted...Kyra's pretty cute. And she'll be teeny tiny for awhile...so...I'm good for now. Lol. You're safe Kaye.

The stag slowly got up, shaking his fur as the horrible pain died down.
"Thank you, Akhen," he mumbled, trying to compose himself.
"How long have you been ill?
He chuckled, "No, young one.
"No, young one. I am old, like this forest, maybe beyond." he grumbled, trying to adjust his eyesight so he could see the owl stag.
"Oh..." he replied quietly,
The stag chuckled again, this
"Your right, but it will all be over, gladly," he muttered.
"Over?" Akhenaton repeated,
He faced the stag, tilting
"Akhen, it has been a while, a long time actually since I have returned. Time must go on, young one. I am not afraid of death." he spoke.
The stag blinked, considering
He simply bowed his head, "I understand," he replied quietly, "Know I will miss your company though. Aria, no doubt, will miss you too."
