Perhaps it was the forest.Perhaps it was the journey.
Perhaps it was the loss, or the lack.

Perhaps, it was even her...

But, sweet guardian... It is time to move on.

For us, for yourself, and for her...

It is time to remember...

Lux!

"Lux!"

What is this place...? Is this real...?

.......No. Not anymore.

This is... a memory.

"I'm so sorry, Lux!"

...?

"I'm so sorry! I broke it! I'm so sorry!"

"It is alright."

"Please, don't be angry!"

"I cannot be angry, little one."

"But... it was your most cherished! I know how much you loved it..."

"It was a gift, so I kept it. It meant nothing. Dry your tears."

This was... back before the forest.
And the feelings.

But... the girl...?

"Lux, have you always been with me?"

I stayed with them until they didn't need me anymore."

I never knew what to tell her.

And somehow, everything I said made her sad...

"Lux, why don't you ever smile?"

not because I want you to."

"Lux... can I ask you something?"

"Of course."

"...Are you... ever happy?"

"I am content when you are happy."

To protect them... to keep them safe.
This girl was all wrong. I never should have gone to her.

Her blood was full of death.

There was nothing I could do, and I made her so sad...

...I did. I failed her so many times... And she...
She never asked for anything. I had nothing to give her. Nothing she needed. All wrong...

...This was amazing, Jessie. Each post has made me fall in love with Phy all over again. This just makes me so happy because it's every feeling I have about Phylux and what I've heard about Lux and I feel HAPPY that you were able to convey this concept so well and do it justice. Even though... it's your own thing so of course you do it justice. You know?
