Drifting but your eyes are open now. And there is light and waking. Good morning...good morning.
I'll wait for you. All of you. Until then, good morning.
Oh,the deer with your picto don't have your picto in fact. There's a glitch in this version that causes nameless to have your same picto,I see it all the time ^^
Thanks for the info, hun. There's a lot about this game and community I still don't know yet. A little bummed that I only just started playing, I leave for school in about three weeks and once I get there I'll probably be on very little. Gotta cram-learn everything and try to retain for those few precious moments I do have time.
Excuse me but you have an unfinished color code in your comments. This means whenever you post on a blog you make everyone's comment text turn purple. Please fix this by either removing your color code entirely, or placing [ /color ] (without spaces) at the end of your comment. Please fix this soon, thank you!
I have no idea who the other fawn is but she is also adorable and if we are adorable together then you're just gonna have to peel your eyes and bear it.
She/he is so cute in the orca pelt, I can't even deal with it.
I saw your beautiful post on Gustiro's biography. It was adorable. I am a little tired so I couldn't give you a proper reply tonight. Gustiro would have allowed her to curl up with him, and perhaps be thankful for it. I am sorry he was not more active but he is sad faced right now. XD When he is not so down he will surely have to play with her and teach her some games. X3
Oh no I figured as much and actually wasn't really expecting a reply, it just felt right for her to interact with him in that way, considering how depressed he is right now, so I went ahead and did it. :3 I'm pretty exhausted too so I understand.
I also would like to say I am glad you decided to stay. Truthfully the community is one of the friendliest I have had the pleasure of being in. Occasional OOC drama aside. XD There are good things about your first deer being stuck as a fawn until it grows up. A lot of characters are more accepting of a fawn both ICly and OOCly we have a better idea that it might be a new player. I hope what I wrote is clear. I may have to go to bed soon.
Very clear. I'm again and again surprised by how nice this community is in general. It really is one of the least cliquey communities of this type that I've ever seen. There's a lot of room for integration. I really was worried the first few days because I felt like, ugh, I'm about to start my senior year of college and now I'm trying to fit into this group of people...
I don't really know how to explain my feelings, except that I felt I shouldn't be trying. But now I really do just feel like TEF will help me get through my final year of college. I think it's the right kind of distraction for me when my writing, homework and so on becomes really overwhelming.
Also, if your own words are confusing you so much, bedtime might be in order. XD Get some rest, Red Stag, so that Eraline and I can pester you tomorrow.
Oh thank you! Era enjoyed your deer(?) as well, when they played earlier. She's a little sadface right now, otherwise they'd be playing more. And thanks for the writing compliment - I actually find it really tough to write decent short summaries/updates. ._. I do the best I can.
I've really enjoyed reading your updates so far, so if you find them frustrated at least know they may be worth it in the end. And lol, I suppose you can think of her as a freaky overly cervid hare.
;-;! Look at them both watching tired sick Gusty! I love it; Era looks so tiny and cute; love that she retained the human face. And your Phaios is excellent. Teach me how to draw plzkthx.
His moodiness is what prompted her to get closer and try to make him feel welcome. He seems nice enough to her, thus, he is welcome. :3 What a cute name, too. Peanut ;-;
The doe approaches quietly and seats herself beside the fawn. "Are you alright, little one?" She'd grown rather concerned after the younger deer had trotted off - especially since she had lost sight of the one who had made her nervous shortly thereafter. Although finding Eraline alone and unharmed beside the stream was a relief, she still worried why the little one had gone off in the first place.
Eraline had been enjoying her solitude - something that she had come to take for granted in the past few days - when Phaios approached. She loved the people who'd become something of a family to her, and she relished in the comfort of her father, but today, so many things had happened outside of her and inside of her - so many things still were happening - that she'd suddenly felt claustrophobic when she'd no longer been able to keep track of the things around her. She was tired. She was still thinking about the stag who passed on right in front of her eyes. But mostly, she'd just needed the time to breathe, process it all, alone.
She does not say any of this in response to the doe's question. Instead she mutters softly and with a sigh, "I'm fine. I just didn't know what was happening anymore."
Her ears twitch and crook in the direction of a cricket's cry, her little human mouth pressed together. She thinks about the stag, Reed, whom she had been trying to thank for distracting Tieff from her before Phaios blocked her.
"You didn't have to do that." She says without realizing at first the lack of context. Then it hits her and she shakes her head to clear her thoughts. "The Stag Reed, I mean. You didn't have to. I was trying to talk to him."
And yes, there had been that. She was beginning to grow tired of the politics. So many enemies. It seemed to her that everyone she met or tried to befriend disliked someone she cared for.
Perhaps it was just this day, all of it, making that knowledge more unbearable than usual.
Phai tilts her head to one side as she listens. "The day I figure out this Forest is the day it all changes," she remarks softly; there were days she was lucky to know what was going on at all. But it was the fawn's next comment that made her brow furrow.
"Some time ago, before you came to be, I - and many others - spent a number of days defending a terribly wounded Gustiro from that stag. Forgive me; I do not trust a deer who attacks those already wounded or who merely are resting." She is quiet for a moment before she continues: "If you must approach him, please be careful." She knew all too well how she reacted to the word 'no' when she was young, after all.
The fawn listens in earnest, for she wishes to understand the motives of those who hate one another. It isn't so much that she has never hated anyone - there is Sianna to think about after all - but somehow it feels different - so she listens until Phaios is done speaking, but remains unresponsive for some time after. Finally, her eyes trained toward the water, she releases a long suffering sigh and nods. "I do understand. I don't...blame you. But I also feel there is a time and a place for things like that." Catches herself, remembering that the doe had been well intentioned. "Though I am grateful to you for feeling the need to protect me. You have not known me for very long, but sometimes I feel like we've been friends for a long time."
An honest and somewhat embarrassing admission. She steals a glance at the doe from the corner of her eye. "I thank you for that."
Phai's eyes cast downwards, taking sudden interest in some point beyond the grass before her. "I have lost many to such fellows... I am not keen to let it happen again." Her voice is sad, filled with memories. The doe lays her head to rest upon the ground, golden gaze fixed upon the ripples in the pond. "I have known many deer I have never met before, you among them. You are a bright fawn. I would hate to see something happen to you."
"I'm sorry for your losses." It is the most she can think to say to such a personal statement. She too brings her head to rest and there, beside the doe who has quickly gone from stranger to friend, she breathes in the smell of the water, basks in the silence. Eventually she turns her head so that her cheek is pressed against the grass and she is looking at Phaios, studies her features. "Yes...it feels that way with you. Perhaps I knew you before, sometime, in my...my other existence." The knowledge of which had frightened her before, but now is slowly becoming easier to accept - the visions, though painful, somehow comforting. "You needn't worry for me, Doe Phaios. I have too much to do before I leave this place, like that stag from earlier." A small grin finds its way onto her face in remembrance of their first meeting, together at a sleeping Gustiro's side. "I'm a bit like the Red Stag Gustiro. Resilient, you know."
