Our love
That was once a burning flame
Is now a burning ember
Slowly fading
It seemed with time
We grew apart
It started the first day you avoided my eyes
And the times you never reurned my calls
I too lost interest
I stopped giving you as much affection as before
Although we did not realize it
We drifted far apart
Creating a valley between us
That no bridge can connect again
We stayed together in fear
Not knowing how to call it off
Until one day we called a truce
We knew we could not rekindle the fire
For it was fading fast
So with eased hearts
We went our own way
Fading into the distance
Like a burning ember

I hate goodbyes For some one
For some one is sure to cry
And we do not always know
When we will see each other again
I wish I could prolong this kiss
There is nothing good about
Shedding tears
Telling each other its for the best
But I ask
Who is it better for
For both our hearts are acheing
For one another
And we are about to fall apart
Our composer is about to go
As we embrace
It seems this kiss ended to fast
And now for one last glance
Before we leave
We say goodbye
Pray tell me what is good about goodbyes
