- Two minds, one body; he does not have dissociative identity disorder and this is not meant to portray or be 'inspired' by that illness; Xarlo is literally two minds - two souls - ripped from individuals and mashed into one. Xallo and Xero cooperatively work their body, though their minds differ on things and thus their actions may be at times incoherent, indecisive, chaotic.

- Bloodmage and Necromancer. When as two entities, Xallo was the gifted bloodmage and Xero the necromancer; now as one both abilities used at once are only half as good as they'd been before. They can use their all for better blood magic or better necromancy, but both at once weakens each.

History

- Originally two separate entities, Xallo and Xero were born identical twins to a human in Tyria, Marcella Maneforte. Marcella objected sternly for years to inquiries by both boys as to who their father was; it was Xallo's persistent attitude within the local town that led to the namedrop of Haakon, inevitably the connection was made.

- At the age of 18 years, Xallo dragged Xero out to begin practicing their blood magic and necromancy. They'd been aware of their abilities for years but their mother had objected to dark magic use 'till they were adults. Xallo immediately began to practice using his own blood to draw him toward those related, while Xero was more interested in the resurrection of deceased animals.

- Studied and practiced for two years before Xallo dragged Xero into a scheme in which they'd combine their knowledge to create a means to track down Haakon. Both had learned by this point that Haakon could go between worlds, not an ability everyone possessed, and felt confident they could do the same to find him.

- Successful in their third attempt to create a powerful enough bloodgem (a special gem created by their blood, held or wore around the neck and tugs in the direction of the blood-relative they desire to see) to bring them toward Haakon. Confused at first when, after following its guidance for two days, it suddenly dropped with no clear direction. Xallo concluded they were where they needed to be in order to hop worlds.

- Still uncertain how to begin such a massive process, sought the help of locals. Asked around for several days 'till a lead was found regarding the travel between realms. An elderly charr was their help. Shown how to open, navigate, and close portals. Warned against traveling too far without someone more experienced to get them back and though Xero heeded this and tried to get Xallo to see the reason, Xallo was not persuaded.

- Xallo and Xaro created an unstable portal to the forest surrounding Haakon's castle, which closed behind them upon arrival. Xallo and Xero stumbled about the forest for hours 'till Haakon found them along one of several paths within the thick woods. Unbeknownst to the boys, Haakon immediately knew them as his own, felt their blood, and had no interest in tending to their curious minds - being in the middle of other matters he considered far more pressing.

- Still, they pressed questions and refused to leave. Haakon saw no use to their deaths; he was not locked away in purgatory (or any other inescapable hellscape) and currently had no use for their bloods, it was as simple as that; but their persistence was ill perceived and The Hurricane sought to give them reason to need him in the future, to never be able to escape him should he need them someday. Took from them their minds and combined to one vessel. Left them confused and alone in the forest with only one way out.

Saw Haakon earlier. Didn't dare to approach until much later after much commotion. Found him dead and being scavenged. Unsure how he felt about all of it, relief and confusion. Couldn't get an answer about the death from the raptor (Fari) and fled, with a new respect for the boundaries of hungry carnivores. Found Kuwaka and engaged in discussion which led to the discovery that the lion is his uncle, among other things of which Xarlo had already concluded; such as Haakon being a trash goblin.
